Pathetic Service. Ordered a sim card two weeks ago, paid for express service ($25) to be delivered within 5 days. They havent even shipped it out yet nor do they even know the status of the order. The chatbot Nancy talks crap and doesnt answer and runs away when confronted with facts. They have 24 hours to respond before I report them for fraud.
Requested Refund: Impossible to get in contact with and not sure about what is happening
I had an experience of buying a Blackberry key 2 which was advertised and I bought it almost 2 months ago. At first they told me that they didn't have stock and a few days later they emailed asking me to confirm that I am ready for delivery.
They even called and gave me an expected date. Days passed beyond the expected delivery and they seemed unsure about where the item was and I didn't even get a tracking number.
After some time they told me the item wasn't dispatched and they don't have stock. I did my best to be understanding but even the people on their chat seemed unsure about the order They ignore any direct questions as they are in India and the World Sim is located in the UK. They apparently only have contact with World Sim via email and it's that same support address. The chat people did however seem like they really were trying to help.
Now I am unable to find the chat option on their website and have requested a refund of R9298. 00 (ZAR) SOUTH African money as this is what I paid for it, but getting in contact with them is almost impossible (I have requested the refund multiple times)
I really wanted to like this company but I don't know what is going on there. I am still waiting to be refunded and at least contacted to say they are going ahead with the refund.
Now I have found this place and it seems they reply here. My order number is
ORD-*******-Y4F2D9 and my ticket number is CAS-PXZR2585.
Please refund me WorldSim and keep in contact with me during the process via my email.
Have seen that world sim says they have replied to my email (on another site which I have reviewed them on, but I have no reply neither in Junk or anywhere regarding the refund email being received and my bank has not received any money... so I am not sure why they have pasted this automatic response here. My payment was done through payfast so they will get the notification first and then I will have to transfer it back into my bank account. Please give me a real reply instead of a generic one.
Customer service bends over backwards upon your entrance to the overpriced WORLDSIM. Once you encounter issues, customer service is non-existent. The only reason I gave this company 2 stars is that I never encountered an issue with the card working worldwide. Otherwise, they are deserving of 1 star for their lack of customer support and their exorbitant prices.
Worldsim may promise low prices but they fail to control that the charging is ok. I have been charged 25 US for two local calls on Fiji less than 1 minute each. They will refund it but it is annoying to be cut off in the middle of a call. It took them 48 hours to correct the erroneous charges. During that time I couldn't make or receive calls and had to by yet another top up in order to stay available. Now worldSim will not reimburse me for the top up I had to do in order to be available.
You don't get line most of the time. Data is slow and expensive. The sms are not received.
What else you can expect from a phone SIM card.
Hello Mancunian,
Please share your WorldSIM Number along with your physical location at [email protected] (mentioning the Ticket Number in the subject line). We will investigate the issue and assist you.

If you are a UK traveller looking for a SIM suitable for international travel, I strongly advise that you avoid WorldSIM at all costs.
Firstly, the 'free UK mobile number' that they advertise, is not. The number allocated is actually an Isle of Man, Manx Telecom number. IoM is not part of the UK, and therefore any calls to this number are not included in any inclusive minutes. Depending on operator, calls to the IoM number are charged at 50p/min on average.
So in the first instance you have false advertising...
Furthermore, this SIM cannot receive calls from another (UK) mobile number, only landline. The company claim that as it is an international SIM, it needs credit to call it, but that doesn't make much sense. So, secondly, what use is a phone number if noone can call it from another mobile?
In seeking assistance, customer service is poor. Little to no understanding of the product, and particularly the difference between IoM and UK assigned numbers. Written enquiries are seldom answered. Enquiries raised by phone have something like over a 10 working day response time.
In finally being promised a refund on returning the unworkable SIM, this has not been honoured. Companies like this thrive on customers getting fed up trying to claim rather than doing the right thing, and providing the service their glossy websites imply.
UPDATE: Proof of my order, SIM details, proof of agreed refund, proof of return etc have all been sent to WorldSIM several times. Again no response, and then a withdrawal of the refund offer, having received the returned item. Very underhand behaviour. Initial review and rating still stand - avoid.
Hello Buffy,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused. Kindly share the ICCID number (Physically mentioned on the SIM Card) at [email protected] (mentioning the Ticket Number in the subject line), We will check and assist you in a timely manner.

I ordered 5 international sim cards for our family trip. They were not delivered in the 1-3 days as advertised. It was getting close to our departure date so I contacted World sim on two consecutive days chasing the order. They asked me to check my local post office which I did but nothing had been delivered there. On the day of leaving, the SIM cards still hadn't come so we had to leave without them. No means of communication whilst away and three very unhappy children who were not able to stay in contact with their friends for two weeks. We arrived home to them in the post box, which is no good to us now. The SIM cards are unused and untouched. I have been trying for over seven weeks now to get a refund. I have spoken to numerous people, sent many emails and just keep being told that this matter is with the relevant department. I am not getting anywhere. No one is helping. The Sims cost £220.00
I would have some faith restored in this company if they would just honour the refund. They keep telling me about their 14 day refund policy, which I was unable to advise them in this time period as I was not in the country hence needing the international Sims and without them had no way of communicating. Very poor customer service from this company. If they had just sent the sim cards out in the time frame they advertised, we would not be having this problem. There seems to be many more unhappy customers on the site. I know I am definitely another one adding to the list.
After several futile attempts to get my request attended to I received a quick reply from customer service and without delay has the remaining credit from my obsolete Data-Sim moved to the Sim that I use. They monitor sitejabber and I appreciate that action. Regards, Walter
I have two SimCards from WorldSim. As my wife died last year I only need one now and have asked for the other to be cancelled and the remaining credit $USD 39.91 to be transfered. They did this always until early last year and now refuse point blank. No explanation as to why. Very poor attitude.
Do NOT be fooled by this SCAM company.
All positive reviews are done by themself.
This company does not exist, they will take your money from you but nothing happens thereafter.
I have instructed solicitors to get this company off the web, in the meanwhile be very careful.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.
Hello Mike,
We have investigated the below and our fraud prevention team has recognized your order as fraudulent. This matter is being dealt with currently.
On the positive side we have millions of happy and genuine customers who purchases from us regularly. We aim to provide amazing low prices and great value.
Best Regards,
WorldSIM Team
They sent me an old sim that was not working properly. The assistance took 10 days to reply. That was after my trip, there was no use and I repeatedly asked a refund under the Consumer Rights Act. But they didn't even care to reply. I'm going to raise a dispute.
Also, I noted that the SIM was consuming credit because of data even if the data connection was disconnected!
In any case, you are much better off buying a local sim card. These WorldSIMs are way too expensive.
After insisting, I got a fake reply to my request. They misrepresented the facts, thus, confirmed that Worldsim is a fraud.
Hello Mario,
We are sorry to hear about your negative experience.
We never send old SIM to any of our customers. By mistake, if one gets, we replace it immediately without any charge. However, before replacing we check with the technical department.
Technically it's not possible to run data in the background when mobile data is turned off. Either mobile data or Wifi has to be "ON".
Kindly send the Ticket/Mobile number at [email protected] mentioning the Ticket number in the subject line of the email.
Best Regards,
WorldSIM Support
Purchased a SIM card to be mailed to Canada. First they told me they would waive the shipping cost, then when it came time to checkout, they told me they couldn't waive it. They did give me something like a $2 or $3 discount, but the total shipping cost was closer to $15. I kept waiting for the card to arrive but it never did. Finally I reached out to them and they told me the card had been returned to them. I don't understand why they didn't inform me of that right away, and I also don't understand why the card was returned to them. They wanted me to pay for shipping again, which I was not willing to do. Time ran out and it was too late for me to use their service, so I requested a refund, at which point they stopped responding to all communication. Highly recommend you find another company to get your SIM.
Hello Eric,

Spoke to Annie had a very favourable response and my enquiry and concerns where sortet thank you Annie
I purchased 5 SIM cards to be used for a trip to Europe for $120. They arrived on 6/20. None of them worked; when i put them into my phones, they all caused the phones to say No SIM card installed. It took several days to hear back from tech support and they could not resolve the problem. Since I was leaving on my trip a few days later, I did not have the time to try and get them to work and/or get replacements from them given their lack of responsiveness. I also did not trust the company or the cards assuming they did end up working, so I asked for a refund. I have been trying ever since to get a refund.
The company WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. They are refusing to give me a refund, even though it was requested within their stated 14 day window. Their warranty also is for 6 months against defective product, and they refuse to refund me based on that either. They keep telling me it is unlikely that none of the cards work, even though I tried troubleshooting them with their tech support before I went on my trip. The form to submit a refund request on their website does not work - it tells me that the case number is invalid, even though it is the same one they are using in their email correspondence. They tell me I should use their live chat so they can troubleshoot, but there is no way to access the live chat on their website, and they won't tell me how to access it.
This is a HORRIBLE COMPANY that thinks very little of their customers. They do not honor their warranty and do not stand behind their product. I am now out $120 thanks to them. I ended up purchasing my sim cards from OneSIM and they worked fine (with excellent customer service). If I could leave 0 stars I would.
UPDATE - since this review was posted, WorldSIM responded below. Their response is a complete lie. I am the actual customer and they have NOT issued a refund. They also claim you need unlocked phones. All of my phones are unlocked, otherwise the other SIM cards purchased would not work. This is further proof that the company does not operate honestly; posting lies about a customer is reprehensible.
Hello Eric,
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. We already informed you that WorldSIM works with “Unlocked” handsets only. You must have an unlocked phone which takes any SIM card. Even though your phone was network locked we did provide a full refund. We tried our best to resolve the issue in every possible way for you yet this is very unfortunate to receive such a review. We believe this is just a review by competitor promoting their business.

I've had a couple of reasons to contact customer services and both times they've been knowledgeable and patient with me while I got to grips things.
I had an issue with my SIM but Cathy was very helpful and gave me all the info I needed to get me back on track.
Rose helped figure out if my line is working and she was very helpful. I kept making mistakes while writing my iccid and she beared with me until we figured it out
Had a not so good experience the last time I connected with World Sim my world card did not come on time and I was left with no contact in Africa for three months but this time
With Rose I had great service. Very efficient, helpful and Very quick THANK YOU Rose
I purchased a Huawei E5788 4G/5G Touchscreen Mobile WiFi & Powerbank. On dispatching the item WorldSIM indicated the value as £20 when the true value was in fact £329.99. Prior to purchase, I wanted an ETA as I needed this for work while traveling. I was promised it would be 2 days. I was skeptical so added some time and worked on 14 days for delivery. Because of false information on the waybill, the package was flagged by my country's customs and to cut a very long story short... 1. I waited 2 1/2 months to receive the product. 2. I eventually paid a fine of £115,23 on top of import taxes and VAT. 3. I have been flagged by my local revenue service as a person of interest for trying to evade paying taxes.
Most Concerning
1. WorldSIM ignores all my attempts to contact them.
2. I keep receiving "copy and paste" messages with their terms and conditions.
3. Lodging a complaint on their site via a ticket is useless as I never receive any response.
4. Chatting with one of their agents on their site also proves useless as they promise to forward my message to the relevant "team". I suspect this "team" is a bin as I never hear anything again.
In summary:
This is NOT about waiting 2 1/2 months. This is about:
1. You lied on your declaration to my customs!
2. This cost me money!
3. This flagged me with my government as a tax evader.
Why do I have to pay almost double for a product which is YOUR fault?
Hello Bonita,
Your grievance is genuine and we repeatedly apologize for the mental anguish you have suffered for not receiving your order on time but regretfully we have protocols to follow like any other company.
As per our current records, the Order (ORD-745XXXX-X9RXXX) was already dispatched from our side with the tracking Id "4525431713" in a timely manner. As per tracking details, you need to contact the "DHL" mail services to get an update on your order.
Please understand, we can not initiate a refund for an order which has already been dispatched from our side, until and unless we get the Order back. This is in accordance with our company's policy.
We would humbly request you to contact the DHL authorities in your region to receive the package. If you then still want a refund, you would have to send the product back to us. Once we receive our product, we will initiate a refund request immediately.
Always ready to serve,
WorldSIM Support

Ethan was extremely helpful to me getting my card and my husband's set up. I'm a bit technologically challenged, and he walked me through the process.
I have had one of my worst customer experience with them. Either their sales representatives are totally uninformed or they are totally misleading. I purchased an ATT plan for the US. However, when I got there I found out that I could only connect to T-Mobile 2G network. 3G and 4G don't work at all! When I contacted their customer service I was told that I have been given a sim that supports only T-Mobile. I asked them about why was I given a T-Mobile sim but got no replies. Another representative simply told me "your phone doesn't support 3G or 4G on ATT". I told him that I had specifically asked if 3G would work on my phone on ATT (As I already know that ATT doesn't support 4G on OnePlus 3) and the sales rep. Had said that "Yes, 3G will definitely work". But customer support simply asked me to mail the sales rep who never replied to any of my emails. Now I'm stuck in a new country without any internet and with a loss of $25. My advice would be to stay away from these people!

Answer: THey never answer and if they answer they just say we will solve your problem and they never do. Stay away from world sim card. They are cheeting.
