Fireplace would not work after one year they identified the problem sent Replacement part

Ordered "Early American" fireplace screen. Measured opening as instructed: add 1" height, 2" width for proper size screen. Had salesman on phone to double check dimensions before order. Lintel clamp was a very attractive feature to secure screen to fireplace. The design could not accommodate the lintel clamp for any application. The center of the lintel securing nut is located 5/8" below the top of the unit dimension, leaving the mount point 3/8" above the opening. A hole through the fireplace stone would be the only way to use the lintel. According to instructions and schematic otherwise there would be no physical way to mount the lintel clamp. In addition, the two "bottom L brackets" provided are 3 1/2" long, the frame mount point is 4 1/4" from the edge leaving the both bottom brackets useless as mounts. Four "flex brackets" were supplied as well. These utility brackets are flimsy and not serviceable for mounting. Junk. Parts diagram shows an "Insulation roll" is included, which it was not. Overall material and construction of the frame quality is good, but I am having to fabricate fasteners as well as drilling into granite to mount the screen. Not worth the trouble or the very high price I paid. I spoke with customer service who was very nice, but dismissive and was told shes "had never heard of the insulation roll or had any other lintel mounting issues".

Fireplace works great, had someone install. Off and on remote is a plus

Great product but instructions on how to setup logs and coals was very poor. I also sent a warranty card and haven't received any confirmation. Could have been better to submit this electronically.
