I placed an order on 4/11 and was told to expect somewhat of a delay in shipping which I totally understand due to the current covid-19 situation. The site states that in Pennsylvania orders will be shipped 6 days after the transaction. It is now 4/24 and I have not recieved my order. I've sent multiple emails and recieve generic responses back from the site. During this time of waiting I used another service (winc which highly recommend) I had my order in 4 days. If you do not mind waiting almost a month for your shipments maybe this is the site for you. I will not be recommending wine insiders nor will I order from them again.
I first ordered from them several months ago. We only drink white wine so I ordered an all white mix. When it arrived, it was mixed red and white. I let it go thinking that mistakes happen. I just ordered another of an all white mix and it too was mixed red and white. This time I filed a complaint with them. I received a request to send them a photo of the shipping box which I did (and included a photo of the first box as well). That's been several days ago and no further communication from them. Apparently not only is their shipping and order department screwed up but they don't care enough about customer complaints. Their invoice has an apparent "guarantee" which they have not even attempted to honor. STAY AWAY FROM THEM TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT..

We've ordered wine from all over the world and this is by far the worst. You will receive duplicate wines, we order 12 and 6 were duplicates and they stated that it was in the fine print. We also ordered their decanter and wine glass which they stated were $9.99 each, they were plastic and couldn't be more than $2 apiece. Needless to say, we will not be ordering from them again.

Beware! This company is a huge disappointment, when you look at their website it looks like a safe professional wine business but in reality they send promo codes, allow you to use them all day, take your information and then refund you the next day informing you it was a glitch, a glitch that lasted all day! I felt safe seeing that Martha Stewart is associated with this business but don't be fooled what you see is not what you get. Not even a little.

Saturday, April 18, I got a text from a friend telling me to quick! Run to wineinsiders.com and order 8 bottles of wine. You can get them for a total of $8, shipping included. So I did and I did. The next day, however, I got an email from the company admitting their error (it wasn't supposed to be $1 a bottle but $11 a bottle) and offering to give me a full refund now and an air pressure bottle opener with my next order. That was nice, but I still wanted my wine - I'm on lockdown for crying out loud! I can only get my alcohol mail order! Besides, what's the fun of having a new wine bottle opener if there's no wine to open?
So I wrote back to the company--a rather snarky email--but basically expressed my disappointment. The reply came back the same day! They understood my frustration and disappointment, and while they still didn't honor the price, (who can blame them--not even 2 buck Chuck could compete) they offered me a $25 store credit instead. Not the same as getting 8 bottles of wine for $8 but a definite motivating factor to put in another order... so I did. I got another email shortly after, I'm not sure why, but that's when I realized I had not clicked the link to get the free bottle opener. So I replied, again, to say that I had forgotten to click the link... oh well... not expecting a thing. They emailed me back a couple of hours later telling me that they went ahead and added it to my order. While I would've loved to have been able to get 8 bottles for $8, Wine Insiders really did try to make it right. I appreciate that very much since so few businesses have to ability to take a "loss" right now. Not only did I get a half a case of wine for a really reasonable price, but I got a new toy! Customer service was their priority. It definitely showed and I will order again from them.

I ordered 3 bottles and when I sent a request for an update regarding my order they couldn't find my account. Then I proceeded to call and after waiting for 20 minutes, I finally reached a representative. She was very nice and told me when my order was going out for delivery. So I emailed the representative that told me she couldn't find my account and she then agreed with the other representative. Of course it never arrived so I called again and Phillip, the worst customer representative I've ever spoken too advised me that my shipment was going out for delivery the next business day and would be delivered by the end of the week. After being advised that I wasn't receiving my order soon, I asked for someone to call me back to explain all these excuses I've been receiving. Did not receive a call back and after asking for our money back through email, still nothing. Worst experience I've ever had. I understand that we are in a lockdown but this is ridiculous.

A friend of mine didn't like the wine he received from WI, but he got reds, and I wanted whites, so I decided to give them a try. I was told that it would be shipped out in a couple of days, however AFTER they got my payment I got a message saying that it would be 2 WEEKS before they even shipped it out. I immediately called to cancel the order, no answer. I wrote their customer service dept. and all I got was a bunch of excuses why they would not cancel the order. I had to have paypal give me a refund by doing a charge back to them.

I ordered a shipment for my daughter. It was damaged by FedEx in shipment. Wine insiders did not send a replacement. Two weeks later, having received nothing, I called them. Although they've had the damaged box for over two weeks. The customer service rep told me that they don't ship out unless the customer calls them. Have used Wine Insiders for about a year. Due to being sheltering-in-place recently we cannot do frequent shopping so we ordered 6 assorted bottles of wine, using an emailed discount offer+ free shipping. I ordered on Groupon on Mar 21,2020. To date, the order has not been shipped and a response from customer service said it was "ready for pickup" while it has not been shipped. I had it delivered to my home so I don't know what "ready for pickup" means.

They advertised a coupon on their site and did not honor it. We called customer service and got no return phone call. We emailed no return emails. When we did order from this company we had a problem with a few bottles of wine that was sour and they never alleviated the problem at all when we finally did get in touch with customer service. They are horrible. Stay away!

This is the rudest company that I have ever had the mis-pleasure of dealing with? They are unceremoniously arrogant, unfriendly and hostile? Equally distastefully matched with the poor delivery performance, that incidentally tacks on excessive (rip off) delivery costs, so much for (free delivery) Fair warning, Totally inflexible after charges are confirmed, this is not the place to visit for a happy, stress-free customer driven experience, disingenuous of the attractive lure of its online ad. The gift kit is of inferior quality, looking nothing like the ad, totally embarrassing as a gift, so don't expect a thank you from the recipient, I know I wont.
