Over the last 4 years we have purchased 11 whirlpool appliances 5 of those 11 have been refrigerators. Of the 5 refrigerators 4 have had catastrophic repair issues within the last 3 years and are as follows: 1.) Failed after 37 days of use and Technician was not able to repair, fortunately The Home Depot replaced a new refrigerator as Whirlpool was not willing to own their defect. 2.) Failed two months after purchase requiring 6 months to repair same issue, then the same issue came back two more times and now the refrigerator is out of warranty and Whirlpool doesn't want to own the defective refrigerator. 3.) Failed at just over two years due to a faulty structure with the refrigerator that was due to gaps in the seals that damaged the thermostat, defrost coil, control board. We actually were able to repair this ourselves and keep the refrigerator working. 4.) This is our most recent and last Whirlpool purchase, but we noticed the gaps in the refrigerator seals and immeadiately returned the refrigerator back to Lowes as we learned from the issues in the units above. We have purchased over 20 Whirlpool appliances in the last 17 years and we are no longer going to purchase anymore as the products are terrible and the customer support and follow through matches the product.

I bought a dishwasher directly from the company. It stopped working 11 months later. There was no Whirlpool technician in my area so I had approval to use my local one. I paid out of pocket with a promise of reimbursement and 3 months later I have received less than half of the money for my expenses. Emails and phone calls have been ignored. NO MORE WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES FOR ME. BUYERS BEWARE!
I purchased a Jenn-Air microwave oven combo the company has been out four times to fix it for the same issue. They refuse to replace it at no charge to me... I've spent enough money not only on the unit but on each and every service call they've come out. They want to throw a part at it again for the fifth time for the same issue replacing the same part for the fifth time. This is completely unacceptable. At this point I will only accept a complete 100% replacement of the unit itself throwing money at it each and every time and replacing the same part coming up on the 5th time is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable
Worst experience and customer service I have ever experienced. Our new refrigerator quit working after a month on a Saturday. No customer service help on the weekend so we had to go buy a brand new apartment size refrigerator to get us through until Monday. Called whirlpool the earliest they could get us a whirlpool technician was 13 days later. Now they just pushed it another 2 days and when I call whirlpool to see if they can help get me technician sooner they hand up on me. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT AGAIN.
Top load washer WTW5010LW0 model. Delivery driver ran a quick cycle to be sure it was ok. No problem. The first time we used it the lid lock would make a noise and disengage. No amount of trouble shooting would resolve it. Whirlpool has only two authoritized service places in a city with over a million people and can't see us for a week!
We are going back to the store we bought it from. They are willing to swap it out. We will be choosing a different brand.
I bought a new single door refrigerator from whirlpool. Installation has done and in the next day ice has formed in d fridge I don't like it at all.
They are not serious about customer feedback and they continuously convince the costumers by saying the ice wil form and it will be like that.
Never understand about customer problem and they simply doing hands up.
And I highly recommend buy any product in e commerce website that will be helpful if customer not satisfied the product customer can return immediately.
Even if we are paid money. They will not understand the problem.
This is the second time I have had the same washer the first one worked for the first 2 years. When we moved into our brand new home in December of 2023 and it leaked on the cleaning cycle. We thought it was just time for a new one so we got a brand new washer that was the same. It has been less than 30 days that we have had it and it leaked on the cleaning cycle. AGAIN! Damage to the hardwood flooring, the carpet and baseboards. Are you freaking kidding me? The door is clean I wipe it down every other wash, all socks go into a wash bag, and I mean ALL socks. This isn't a coincidence that this has happened not once but TWICE in a matter of a couple months! Everything is securely connected, now I have a washer full of bleach and water that I cannot let finish because of all the water that is already on my brand new freaking floors! My in laws have Samsung appliances and they haven't had this issue ever WITH front loaders. NOT OKAY!
Whirlpool I remodeled my kitchen two years ago, and I purchased a microwave, a stove and refrigerator. I known Whirlpool to be a good product but my purchases has not been so great this time first my stove broke then my microwave and now my refrigerator. I'm so disappointed in Whirlpool right now.n I didn't purchase the extended warranty because I have a home warranty however when they come out there's $100 deductible so whirlpool cost me $300. I guess I have money to throw away because that's what I'm doing right now shame you were a shame on you.
You hold on forever then get some one that does not speak good english that you can't understand. A waste of time.
Stainless steel dishwasher 10 months old and door front is delaminating on bottom lip. Rust starting. Warranty is one year but only mechanical. I called and they got me to buy a 9.99 protection planned transferred me to service dept. Service dept said they don't fix cosmetic damage.
I contacted Whirlpool to order a water softener WHES40 & was told the price would be $843 less a 20% discount. Upon attempting to order the unit I was given a discount code to enter when placing the order. The discount code came up as invalid. After re entering the code multiple times no discount was applied. I eventually spoke to a representative who advised that there is no discount on new water softener units only parts. Having representatives giving out incorrect information on pricing is a bad business practice & reflects poorly on your organization. I will never attempt to order through your website again.
I purchased a water filter on their website, immediately after purchasing it. I realized it was the wrong one. I tried to go back into the order to change it and was unable to. Tried emailing and calling but the email was blocked and the phone calls didn't go through due to them being closed on the weekend. Called first thing Monday morning and was put on hold repeatedly, transferred over 9 times, and then hung up on by a super rude customer service rep. I then called back and was told i could not cancel or change my order because it had shipped. Even though they were closed over the weekend. I said when will it arrive and she said it didn't have a tracking number. I now have to wait to receive and call back to go thru the same horrible process over again. They were not only rude the first time when I called, their website doesn't allow any changes/exchanges to be made to your order, and it seems they go out of their way to be rude and unhelpful. Do NOT order from them, you will regret it.
In short, they are filled with manufacturers defects, don't stand by their products and customer service gaslights you.
Bought a brand new washing machine. A manufacturers defect (a few months after the one year warranty) led to a whirlpool tech coming out 3 separate times to replace parts at our expense and still no resolution.
We have now spent almost the price of a new washing machine on trying to fix this barely over a year old one we bought brand new.
Talking to customer service is to be told something different by every person you talk to. Sometimes they tell you something hopeful but if you call back again after the next person says something different and there's no resolution.
Customer service gaslights you and doesn't help so don't waste your time.
Bought a stove and refrigerator from two different appliance places. August and September 2023. Both were broken. Still dealing with warranty but nothing fixes them. Never ever buy whirlpool again! Doesn't matter that they come new. They deal with them at like they're used and you're dealing with appliance repairman that cannot fix them.
Wish this company would go bankrupt so no one has to go through what we have! 3 washing machines in 2 years! Total junk please do not buy if you like your sanity!
Whirlpool is the worst washer and dryer I have ever owned. The washer doesn't wring all the water out the clothes. I have to put it on drain and spin after I run the regular cycle. The dryer takes too long to fry the clothes. I haven't even had the set for a year.
My mothers Whirlpool microwave is ridiculous. The spattered food goes through the holes on the door and onto the glass. There is no way too clean the glass because you can't get to it. Awesome design!
Got hung up on multiple times during the phone calls. All I'm trying to do is get my fridge fixed. This company is the worst company I ever had to deal with customer service wise. I haven't had a working fridge in months! Is this company gonna give me my money back for the groceries I bought and a new temporary fridge to hold my food until I actually get mine fixed?! This is absolutely so unprofessional I will not ever be buying this brand again and I will recommend anybody to not buy it as well. Get $#*! on
Flawed design in electrical cord inside machine destroyed drum belt and destroyed the drum balance no help in repair didn't want to hear about it total loss of expensive machine!
I had a refrigerator 5 years old with nothing but problems. I finally got a replacement from whirlpool at a prorate. The first replacement went out(compressor failure) in 13 days. The second replacement has been serviced 7 times with temperature issues and now all the lights are out. I think whirlpool should have replaced this unit as well but keeps dragging it out. I own 9 whirlpool appliances but i am beyond disappointed and frustrated because they didnt stand behind their product.
Answer: I've called 1st thing in the morning and gotten through w/in 12 minutes at other times have waited between 1 and 2 hours. You read that correctly and it's not an exaggeration. I've spoken w/ professional, empathetic CSRs and unprofessional ones and none with the authority to respond outside of a narrow script. Supervisor s will not talk to customers (even if the problem has not been resolved after 4 months.) Customer Service is the number 1 reason NOT to buy a Whirlpool product!
