I am only rating 1 star because zero stars was not an option. Never have I ever had such a horrible experience with appliances. I bought a whirlpool package less than 3 years ago. I've already had to replace the dishwasher (burned up motor), had the microwave repaired, and now the refrigerator/freezer has died. Whirlpool couldn't care less. They've sent useless repair people out that wanted exorbitant fees to "hopefully fix the issue". Meanwhile I gave my fridge:freezer to My neighbor when we moved into this house (because it was black and we wanted stainless here to match the cabinets). She is STILL using it and it is 17 years old….OBVIOUSLY NOT A WHIRLPOOL……it's a GE. Hard lesson learned. Do not waste your money on this junk.

I have never written a bad review for any company. It is not who I am. That said, my experience with Whirlpool has been so horrific, that I feel compelled to share. My fridge is less than a year old and the compressor has gone out. It has been 19 days and I have still not been able to get Whirlpool to honor their product. They keep pushing me further and further out. I do believe eventually they will replace or repair, however, they have buried me in customer support.

Example: They have a firewall between the people that write tickets and sympathize and the people that actually can help. I have been kind but direct, and hung up now at least once. I have spent hours on the phone, just to be told this is "escalated" to a priority team and they will get with you within 5-7 business days... except they have not. I call back and I am told 2 business days, yet nothing. Now, they are yet again telling me it will take 5-7 business days for the approval of the next steps of the "priority team" assessment.

Everyone has so "understanding" however no one is actually acted. Whirlpool needs to improve their customer service quickly if not they are going to see their customers disappear. I have already been able to get two people to avoid buying whirlpool products, I plan to warn more. Please Whirlpool get it figured out and start caring about your brand. It is 100% not what it was. You have lost me as customer.

Whirlpool is the lowest of the low. Customer service is non existent. I see so many swearing they will never buy another Whirlpool product. (Me included) But be aware Whirlpool owns several companies. Here is a partial list. Maytag. (Remember when Maytag was a quality product?)Kitchen Aid, Jenn Air. (Remember when Jenn Air was top of the line?) and Roper. These are just some of the companies they own. Whirlpool is a giant cyclops of an corporation gobbling up everything in sight. Then they destroy all the good will these companies worked so hard to establish by lowering the quality and abandoning customer service. They do not care about the customer. Period. Quality appliances are not a priority with them. Period. So please be careful when you purchase your next appliance.

Whirlpool has the worst customer service ever! You spend hours on the phone trying to get someone live... and when you do, they are not helpul. In fact, they are rude! I have purchased all kitchen appliances from Whirlpool. 2 months later, the microwave started peeling off from inside. I called customer service and took them over a month to schedule a service inspection. The inspector said the tray that came with the microwave was causing sparks of file, because it's made out of metal. He sent a report to Whirlpool and asked me to call them back again with a case number to schedule a time for replacement. When I called the customer service, I had to wait for over 40 min to speak with someone... I told them the story and asked to schedule a date for replacement. After patiently waiting on the phone for another 20 minutes, instead of scheduling an appointment, the lady escalated my request to a supervisor. The guy was simply rude, talked over me, made me repead the story that was on the report, asked all the questions again about how I placed my food in the microwave (if it was on the tray or on the plate)... All to tell me that he was not going to replace the defetive product., because according to him, I placed the food on the microwave plate instead of the tray, therefore it was MY FAULT as the microwave was misused. He BLAMED ME for the defect and stated that I needed to remove the tray every single time I didn't need the double level tray to warm my food. The microwave comes with a metal tray that sparks fire and that is dangerous! The customer should not be the one to blame for that! After hours on the phone talking to a rude supervisor, I got no resolution and ended up giving up. I don't want to use this microwave anymore!

NOT HAPPY
May 30, 2023

Model:
WTW5057LW
I really wish I would have done more research before I bought this machine. It was on sale and it was a Whirlpool, so I thought I couldn't go wrong.
Wrong! This machine does not clean clothes. My clothes come out with the original dirt on them, still smelling worn. I can even smell the cologne on them from the last time they were worn.
In addition, no matter how I load the washer, every single load gets off balance. I have to re-balance the load and run the spin and drain cycle.
I have had clothes come out so wrinkled that even after another wash they are still wrinkled and I have had clothes come out with detergent stains on them (they are so poorly washed that the detergent isn't even washed off).
I absolutely do not recommend this machine.

This is my second Whirpool dishwasher and it's no better than the first! They absolutely DO NOT DRY dishes no matter how much rinse aid you add, or which dry setting you choose. My previous landlord "upgraded" my old GE dishwasher with a Whirpool model and I wanted my old GE back! Now that I am in a new home with completely new appliances, they're all Whirpool and I hate this dishwasher sooo much! They dishes are always "cleanish" and they are never ever dry. Their website talks about condensation and humidity blah blah blah, but nothing works to dry these dishes. Whether plastic, glass, pot or pan, they're wet every time. And we're talking about turning the dishwasher on at night and opening it in the morning probably 10 hours later.

Poor service
May 23, 2023

We ordered a Washer and Dryer online for delivery. Our order date was May 3 2023. After purchase, we got an Email that said our delivery date would be May 25-May 26th. We got another email today May 23rd, that said our new delivery date would be June 9th or June 16th. Now, we have taken time off work to be here for the delivery. We called and explained our situation and they ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to help us. They told us they only deliver on Fridays in our area and that any date they give is just an estimate of when it can be delivered. They were rude and very condescending to us on the phone. Do, we tried to cancel our order and go somewhere else and they REFUSED to let us cancel our order. I will NEVER deal with whirlpool again.

I have an extended warranty contract with Whirlpool Dishwasher for 3 years. The technician of 3rd party agency which Whirlpool has a contract has visited my house about 12 times in last 2 years to fix my dishwasher but still the issue persists. They don't have any clue what's going on and they will just keep scheduling the appointment of technician without taking any concrete action just to add to customer's frustration and irritation. They don't care if you are doing your dishes for weeks while your dishwasher is not working. I would never recommend to go for Whirlpool dishwasher and also a big no to go for extended warranty contract with them if already you have one. The follow up, scheduling of any warranty related service with them is really painful.

Balance a washer
May 21, 2023

I have had a Whirlpool washer since Oct '22. It was fine for a couple of months. Now it makes a grinding sound almost every time we do a load of wash. They tell us it's a balancing issue with the clothes. I have NEVER HATED an appliance as much as I do this topload washer. Why was it fine in the beginning and now developed this horrible grinding noise all of a sudden? I would stay clear of this product at all costs. Giving this product 1 star is also overrating it. Would love to send a video but it's on my FB page and won't let me forward.

Horrible brand
May 19, 2023

I want to let everyone I know to never purchase a #whirlpool product ever! We bought a brand new dishwasher and hasn't worked from the first time attempting to use it! They have now made 7 attempts to come out and repair the dishwasher and still won't replace it. We have now been without a dishwasher for 5 months! Horrible customer service and apparently a horrible brand! I will be changing my products over to a new brand ASAP and never using whirlpool again! #whirlpool

I purchased a new electric whirlpool dryer from Lowes only 3 weeks ago. It stop heating, and timer doesn't work as well. I tried calling Lowes back thinking the warranty i purchased was gonna cover me. I was wrong. Lowes told me they only have 48 hr policy for returns. Or 1 yr for the warranty to kick in. So when I finally talked to whirlpool the manufacturer, customer service was the worst. They don't care if u purchased a brand new not working dryer. They keep making excuses that they cannot find a repairman at my area so to wait 10 days more for a solution. I asked customer service for Corporate number they said there is none. That I had to write a letter. I had to call several times so i can get a name and adress where to complain. What kind of company sells products that dont work? Whirlpool does. So please don't make a mistake do not buy whirlpool products at all!

Total Junk
May 4, 2023

I built a new Home in 2019 put Whirlpool Appliances in separate 30" fridge and 30" freeze built in my cabinets now as of 5-4-23 my second refrigerator replaced one in 2021 just died and in 2021 my Wine and beverage cooler died all purchased in 2019.
Whirlpool refused to even send out a service guy so my advise is stay away because when the warranty expires they Die and every time it is a Freon leak that can't be repaired
So after around $10'000.00 and a lot of frustration I will not Buy Whirlpool to this time

I do not recommend this product we order new fridge and it wasn't working they send the technician to check it and he say it's the compressor and then they book the repair they didn't shows up and then they book another technician to check it again! (just trying to delay things or they are lost) I spoke with the manager he doesn't know anything they just tell you we don't know we are waiting the technician, they don't have parts they don't want to replace the fridge and they don't want to compensate any lost. Now it's been a month with no fridge in the house and we don't have an answer when the fridge will be fixed. Unprofessional service lying to costumers because they don't have answers and now going to buy another fridge because I can't keep living without a fridge

I bought a brand new home 1-1/2 years ago and the stove broke a year and 5 months after I moved into my home. The worst part is that the stove would have killed us if I did not have CO alarms all through my home. The fire department has been called over twice to turn the gas off because of alarms sounding. The gas department has been out 3 times and they said they have never seen such high deadly levels of CO being pumped into someones home. Whirlpool offered me 80% of the purchase price to replace the stove. There is NOTHING on their site that I can buy for 80% of the stove's purchase price. The safety division called me to make this offer they obviously knew this stove was deadly but still refuse to replace the stove. I would NEVER buy Kitchen Aid products from Whirlpool ever again. Now I see they have a 1% SAT rating on reviews so it sounds like I'm not alone in my negative experience with them. STAY AWAY from their products. My last stove never gave me one issue and I had it over 20 years.

The refrigerator compressor start relay has went out on a machine that I purchased 10 months ago, but it wasn't delivered for a month so it has been in service for 9 months and it is already having issues. When I contact the appliance dealer I am told I have to go to Whirpool as it is still under factory warranty. After 15 minutes on the phone they tell me they can send someone from another state in TWELVE days! Do they give a damn that your fridge/freezer isn't working and you have to go without for 12 days? No, they do not care as that was quite obvious on the phone. And why send someone from out of state when I live in a major metroplian area with a Whirlpool certifed warranty repair man in the same city? Absolutely ridiculous. I called my local repair man and he can be out next week for $100 service call. Guess what I bought the parts and they are in my hand for $87 and I'll fix the POS myself. If I had more patience I could order them from Amazon for $20.00. But I am trying to get it fixed today rather than waiting. And if I fix it myself, I'll probably void the warranty, but tell me, what good is the warranty anyway? Unless you are willing to wait TWELVE days.
