I like WebsiteBox. At a one-time fee of $99, it's very affordable, which is especially nice for new agents. Plus, it's easy to set up. I was able to set it up in a weekend. Also, the customer support is alright, although they sometimes take a while to answer back.

However, WebsiteBox has a serious security loophole that's stopped me from using it. This platform doesn't support SSL. In other words, your site will be flagged as "This Site Is Not Secure", and anyone who enters in their name, street address, etc will put their personal at a serious risk. Hackers will have a field day. Some clients won't care, but as buyers become savvier, they'll start to avoid sites without an SSL certificate.

If you're a realtor, you're trying to get prospects' contact info. That's important when you want to keep in touch with sellers and buyers who may not be in the housing market for a good 6 months or so. But, you can't do that (at least not responsibly) with a site platform that's missing basic security requirements. You could get away with this in 2002, but not 2018. Not with all the recent data breaches, internet protection laws, and whatnot. Besides this being unsafe, it also looks unprofessional, especially now that most realtor websites have an SSL certificate. Google will also push your site way down the list, too. Not having an SSL certificate is really bad for SEO, too. Don't expect to rank on the top 3 search results pages.

Also, if you're a realtor who does Facebook advertising, this platform doesn't support that. It supports Google Analytics at least, so Google AdWords should work with it. Still, to ignore one of the largest ad platforms out there is really disappointing to me.

These issues, combined with the Windows 95/XP layout of the control panel, make WebsiteBox very lacking compared to more expensive sites. I like what they're trying to do. They want to bring affordable website solutions to the real estate industry. But, it feels less like an "affordable solution" and more like a "you get what you pay for" sort of thing.

Summary: It seems if you want a decent, secure, and up-to-date realtor website, you'll need to shell out at least $300.

EDIT: The more I read the reviews, the more I suspect that a lot of them are fake.

Don't believe these people about their refunding your money. I

Quick fix

I'm a do it yourselfer, so I tried to fix an issue I was having. I used the online help, but couldn't find the answer readily so I used the online Chat. Next morning my issue was solved. Thanks for the help Sami!

I am almost seventy years old. I do not understand computers and all of this high tech paraphernalia. I needed a website for my real estate business because the way of doing business has changed so much. I finally gave in, but I am in way over my head.

I used Websitebox for three years and was happy but then my MLS IDX feed stopped updating. I spent over a month trying to get them to fix it but they kept saying it was a developer issue. It was not resolved so I moved to another web host. What good is a Realtor website without current MLS listings and the ability to search current listings? Stay away is my suggestion!

Outsourced, with dreadful and rude customer service! They sold me a design package for $489.00 and never designed my website. So I did it myself and asked for a refund via live chat before their so called deadline for refund. Yet they still denied my refund because I called in asking for it after the deadline?

I was happy with them for three years and then it went bad. My MLS IDX feed stopped updating. I contacted them three times and all they would say is it is a developer issue. It has been unresolved for over a month. I am in the process of moving to a new host but I cannot get them to release my domain name so I can repoint it to the new host. Stay away from them!

I love how easy it was to get started and the ease it was to talk to an actual human which is next to impossible in the world we live in today. David was great at answering all my questions. The only thing I'd like to see is an SSL Certification so users won't be notified that the site is not secure.

My experience so far with Websitebox.com have been pleasantly rewarding. Sami walked me through the control panel and the tools I can use to maximize the utilities.
The IDX support *******@websitebox.com got me connected to my MLS in just a day after I completed the request form. Things were pretty efficient so far at Websitebox.com

The customer service is the worst. They treat like you are bothering them. When I tried to explain my issues about their lame layouts they responded with rude remarks and attitudes. Wish my owner would change to another company. Not worth it all!

I chose WebsiteBox based on other user reviews and am happy to say the set up time was not as long as I had anticipated based on my experience with Point2 Agent's site where I remember spending at least a week to set up my agent site; and the a-la-carte features are not bad either considering the low cost for the initial set up and the features you do get. The customer service has been good thus far; I would prefer if they offered longer hours for customer help but despite that I have had any and all questions answered.

They have the worst customer service. I signed up to try it out for 30 days or money back guaranteed. The interface is terrible the latouts are outdated and doesnt work well on some devices. When I reached out to them 9 days before my 30 days was up to cancel and request a refund, no one responded back to me until my 30 days passed. They send me a form to fill out which they insist I didnt fill out and send back. The form has 2 questions why would I not fill out the form to get my refund? Mr. Lieu insists I didnt send it the form on time when they sent me the form after the 30 days. Now they refuse to give me a refund saying I never fill out the form. How can a company run their business like this by having terrible customer service and refusing to give customers their money back when they did everything to cancel whitin 30 days? Stay away I knew I shouldve not tried them even after reading the bad reviews. They positive reviews have to be fake.
