DO NOT GET A CREDIT CARD FROM THIS COMPANY! YOU WILL INSTANTLY REGRET IT! The 3rd party bank that this company deals with is not only incompetent but also rude and will have to calling back and forth until the point that your account is almost in collections just for a simple account number. You can verify all your information but they will never give you your account info over the phone. They say they have mailed multiple statements plus my initial letter which was never received. I don't understand what bank asks and receives correct information (address, bday, etc) and can tell me how much I owe and ask for a payment but you don't have any information on hand to give to me. Very suspicious 3rd party bank and they also overprice items higher than overstock. I did Wayfair for the credit card but next time to avoid the hassle and headache this has become I'll just pay for my things up front. I've never had any company ask for all my information but you can't give me a simple account number so I can go online and look at my credit agreement, interest rate, etc...
JUST DON'T buy from wayfair.
I made a really annoying and terrible experience with wayfair and would NOT recommend to use this company.
I ordered a book shelf and a small desk and both deliveries went completely wrong - one was late for days and i was never updated or informed properly. When it finally arrived, the screws i needed to build it were missing in the parcel. I ordered the item over two weeks ago and i haven't gotten any screws to build up the shelf yet! I keep getting e-mails, telling me that the delivery is getting postponed from week to week.
With the other delivery - it took up to one week to find out where the package was delivered to. I was told several times that the parcel would be in a local parcel shop, i went there three times, even the shop keeper tried to help me and find out about the missing parcel. I called / e-mailed / messaged on facebook etc the delivery company many times to find out where it was. I finally found out that the parcel was shipped to my neighbours house and i didn't know anything about that.
As i have had troubles with both deliveries, the only thing that the customer service of wayfair said to me, was that they would send me a 10% discount for the next purchase. I never got that e-mail!
Despite of that it only brought problems and stress with it, and loosing time and money. Calling them, ordering their products, asking for any help or service just resulted in loosing even more time and being disappointed and let down. I am still waiting for the shelf-screws, i never got the 10% discount email which apparently was already sent a couple of times etc... everything very stressful and disappointing!
My order was supposed to arrive 6 days ago, after several calls they haven't been able to explain what has happend or give any guarantee of when my order will be shipped and when I will receive it. They are happy to take your money but seem unconcerned about actually getting the product you bought to you
Have told friends and family to avoid them at all cost
Horrible shipping experience. First and last product I'm buying from this company. 20 days late. The customer service keeps saying it will be there, and keeps saying it's in route... clearly not. Very disappointed with the service. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
We were excited about a Murphy bed that went on sale during the 4th of July sale. Four delivery dates with no calls to cancel, did we finally get seven heavy boxes delivered in October. At this point, it came as no surprise that items came torn and poorly drilled. Now having the time of my life trying to get this new development resolved. Order if you want to build patience.
Beware! Wayfair uses XPO for all mattress deliveries. The worst delivery company! They will point fingers & delay resolving issues. Plan on missing work & spending multiple hours on the phone w/ the local delivery company, their corporate headquarters, and Wayfair.
LIKE DEALING WITH 3RD WORLD COUNTRY!
Do yourself a favor and stay away from Wayfair. This garbage company delivers Late, then makes new delivery windows without telling you while you take a day off and plan according to their delivery updates offsetting your life. Then the furniture arrives and multiple pieces are damaged and when you get upset and demand to have it shipped back Wayfair cancels your order and tells you to no longer order from them. Gladly! Who would want to do business with this Garbage Company that treats your money and order like this and when you complain instead of addressing it they cancel your order. This is how Wayfair deals with complaints! Stay Away from Wayfair there are plenty of other companies to do business with that care about the product you ordered!
Clicked button for two day delivery. Receive email saying one item would take 7 days. Why do they even have that button. Call so called customer service no help at all. Could have ordered at another company and received sooner. Stay away from this company might help you from some headaches
I have never gotten a bad impression of a company SO FAST. When I placed my order, the site asked for my phone number "just to provide delivery info." Within a minute of me placing the order, they sent me a text thanking me for my order.
NO! That is not "delivery info." I don't know why they want to send via text what other retailers send via email when it is definitely not urgent, but why OUTRIGHT LIE on such a minor thing?
After reading the reviewS about wayfair delivery contracts. Its a 50-50 chance you will get your goodS at the contracted -time. GOOD ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH.
MAYBE GOOD ITEMS BUT TERRIBLE SERVICE..
I am surprised to see the bad reviews on this website. I have purchased almost all items in my new house from Wayfair and they are really good! I even needed to change my dining chairs and their customer service was the best in the US! They replaced the chairs with no additional cost and made sure the process was easy on me. I'll definitely keep shopping with them!
Bought a chair - Open box purchase - when arrived it was damaged much more than I anticipated - I contacted them by email to customer service twice and they would not respond to me. Something similar happened to my daughter. We both were customers but never again. I finally took the chair to the landfill and disposed of it. I lost $200 by this purchase and bought another chair
This company creates unnecessary chaos for first-time customers. And it seems others agree; with a 65% of bad reviews out of 100%. Wow; seems those issues should have been solved months ago.
I ordered 3 bookshelves from Wayfair on 9/8/19. All were to arrive 9/13/19 and be installed 9/14/19. Unfortunately, from the beginning, I entered my email incorrectly - off by one letter; and I apologized once I learned what had happened. As a result, no one could find the order # nor merge the incorrect account with the corrected email account. A product I purchased, could not use because the account was not accessible to me. Thus I could not access my own account for any information, to make changes, nor turn off auto-renewal on my Handy service payment, etc.
Nope, in this day of technical know-how - I was not allowed to access my account at all because the email was listed incorrectly and thus a cascade of events unfolded.
1. could not access the incorrect account that contained my current order and financial info. Was told to email my "incorrect" email and retrieve a new password. I got right on that advice.
2. orders were not delivered on time; nothing was received when it should have arrived. No notice. No apology.
3. supervisors unable to solve the problem after multiple emails and calls.
4. and then there is the time when the supervisor does not call back when the call disconnects...
While the items online look nice, the service is anything but that with supervisors doing little except to state their hands are tied. I returned the items and await refunds. The company now wants to send a 10% gift and an apology, a duplicitous gesture.
Tried posting the below review on file cabinets ordered on Wayfair. Although gave product itself 5 stars, everything else about the experience was horrible. Wayfair then published my "5 star" review on their site, but deleted the entire text. WOW. Now I know why so many "reviews" on Wayfair have no content. No matter how pleased with the actual product, will never order or deal with Wayfair again. Deceitful. Here's my review:
The product is definitely a five, though nothing else about the ordering and shipping experience was - that was a complete zero. So I'd say, proceed with caution.
THE GOOD: file cabinets were packed great, arrived in excellent condition, 100% fully assembled. Wheels are recessed so not even visible, and make file cabinets look like a piece of furniture (saw at least one review where used as a nightstand). You also do NOT need the hanging file folder frame (at least one review said that) - letter size hanging file folders simply drop into the lower filing drawer. All drawers fully extend, accessory drawers are nice and deep. All are lockable with provided keys.
THE AWFUL: I'm used to Amazon Prime - and not used to an order placed sitting in "order" status for 4 days, then expected delivery date suddenly changing an extra five days out. In fact exp. Del dates changed 5 times - was all over the map. I ordered 3 cabinets and they weigh ~ 70 lbs each. I live in a condo with steps leading to front door, and pretty sure FedEx wouldn't carry these up the steps (I was right), and instead would leave in the walkway which is an HOA no-no, so I had to be home to receive. Ultimately re-arranged my schedule multiple times. The fluctuating del. Dates proved a nightmare, called cust. Service daily to understand status. One of the filing cabinets just "disappeared" moving through FedEx; after I called this to Wayfair's attention they said they would follow up but never did. So I called FedEx myself and opened a case ID#, they said I should let Wayfair know. So I did that too- called cust. Service again (5th or 6th time?), and Wayfair started to offer another discount but I said "how about shipping me a replacement file cabinet instead?" She said "oh ok I can do that", and the replacement got to me a day earlier than estimated this time.
Not used to having to bird-dog the shipping process with an order, and constant, near daily follow-up with Cust. Service and then FedEx. Can understand why FedEx and Amazon no longer do business together (thankfully). Scoured Amazon (and several other sites) before placing this 1st-time order with Wayfair, and even with the 10% "sorry discount" it will be a long desperate time before I order here again.
So yes product is great, but pretty sure I won't take another chance on this experience!
I have placed an order with Wayfair.ca on August 1,2019 for the futon sofa with the delivery on August 14,2019. The day before the expected delivery I have contacted Wayfair customer service and the lady named Deborah E. After checking her system told me that delivery will be on time and I should wait for Fedex next day. I took a day off and that day was wasted for nothing as the delivery never happened. I have called Wayfair and they checked it again, that time my case was escalated to the supervisor Sarah. She told me that the item I have ordered is on back order and she is very sorry, she has adjusted the price for me as a compensation for the trouble for about $150 and promised the "for sure" delivery on August 27,2019. On August 26,2019 I have called Wayfair and talked to Megan, I have asked her the same question "when my item will be delivered?". She promised me to check with the warehouse and call me back. In an hour she left me a voice mail confirming the delivery on August 27,2019. In an hour after I checked Wayfair website and it was saying there that the delivery will be on September 4,2019. Sounds like Groundhog day. At this point I called Wayfair and talked to the supervisor Scotty who has transferred me to another lady who said that the item is on back order and they don't know when it will be delivered.
After so many lies and unfulfilled promises I have cancelled my order with Wayfair.
They don't know what is going on with their warehouse and because of that they are selling "air" or in the other words they don't have stuff they are selling.
I have wasted a month and now need to rush through local stores to find the sofa as I have guests coming in a week.
Stay away from Wayfair! They lure customers with fair pricing but behind their website is nothing but the trouble.
Boris
Been waiting for a lift assist chair for 2 months. They sent the wrong one twice. Now they are not going to ship it till they find out what went wrong at the warehouse!#!
I am trying to return an item i purchased from wayfair, it was a kitchen sink. The cost of the kitchen sink was 179.99. They want to charge me 112 dollars in return cost to return the item. I did the same think at amazon and they didnt charge me again. I will not be purchasing an further items from this company.
I'm being charged £15 to return two, flat cushion covers. Absolutely shocking. Do NOT order from this company unless your 100% sure you want the item.
I went on-line to set up my return for furniture I purchased. I can't believe I spent $1279 on a product and the return shipping cost me $928. The company sends out inferior products and chargers outrageous fees for the return. What they're doing is robbery.
Answer: Ive ordered several things and I believe they've all had pictures on outside- sorry.
Answer: No, they will take returns, but you pay fees. As for poor quality, I guess we just swallow it.
Answer: From my experience, this is company is to be avoided. Sounds like your life will be hectic enough for awhile so you don't need additional stress. Buy elsewhere is my advice.
Answer: Need to call Customer Service ( a/k/a Customer Disservice) about any issue. Expect to be disappointed, but they may honor it. Best to avoid Wayfair in the future.
Answer: Suggest calling Customer Service aka Customer disservice. A word of advice: buy elsewhere; anywhere else. This Co. Just does not care.
Answer: Obviously their mission to become popular has worked. They don't need to be a good company anymore. They will take the money and run. When the time is right, they will close up shop and reopen with a new name. It is hard to find a business with integrity anymore.
Answer: Stay away. They do not follow up to make things right concerning your order.
Answer: Call customer service (aka customer disservice). This company should be avoided. Deal with a reputable Co like Amazon or its partners, They care.
Answer: I wouldn't order anything big from Wayfair. I had to order the same product 3 times, and each time, the product was damaged. Wayfair rhymes with nightmare for a reason.
