Only way to put it is they are a horrible company to do business with. They skipped our house and two others in our neighborhood for three weeks. We are on a side street they just decided not to go down anymore apparently. Lots of lies when talking to customer service. I was told it didn't get picked up due to severe winter weather. It was 38 degrees and sunny out. Was told everyday for a full week that they would pick up the trash tomorrow. Even got text confirmation that it would be picked up. Unfortunately it never got picked up. Tried to cancel and they transfered me to many times to count. I finally told them I would take them to small claims court if they didn't cancel my account, refund my balance going back to the last pickup, and come pick up their containers. That worked finally got a refund and the containers picked up. My best suggestion would be find a local company to do business with. Local companies tend to answer the phone rather than making you go through an endless automated system to have someone lie to you about what is going on. WM has every characteristic of what is wrong with big corporations in our country now a days. One star is to high of a rating for Waste Management. They truly deserve a negative 5 star rating.
My son forgot to put trashes out,I called them asking if they could come back mind you it still the same day and they told me they would for 85 dollars! That's more then what my monthly bill is! It's ridiculous talking about for milage or having to go out of their route! They do not care about their customers!

It would be more reasonable to handle these situations without excessive charges, especially when the amount in question is insignificant.
Furthermore, the way your company handles these situations leaves a lot to be desired. The strict and inflexible approach you take towards overages gives the impression that you prioritize profit over customer satisfaction. It is disheartening to see a lack of understanding and empathy from a waste management company.
I have also discovered that your company owns not only major trash companies but also independent ones. This monopoly further limits the choices available to customers like me. It is concerning to know that there is little competition in the industry, which may contribute to the lack of accountability and customer-oriented practices.
Given these issues, I strongly urge you to reconsider your approach to trash services. It is crucial that you review your pricing structure to ensure fairness and reasonableness. Additionally, I believe an investigation into your company's practices is necessary to address the concerns raised by many customers.
I hope that you take these concerns seriously and take the necessary steps to improve your services. It is in the best interest of both your company and the customers to foster a more transparent and customer-centric approach to waste management.

I was proud of waste management. I was proud of paying the money knowing they never missed a garbage day and they were clean. But at a start I was paying 45 dollars in the beginning. Few months later it was 50 dollars. Then few months later it was 55 dollars. Then a few months 60 dollars. Then the next bill it went up to almost 70 dollars a month. All for one 30gallon bag of trash. In a big trash can. Even if I did switch to a smaller trash can to make things cheaper, i know they will climb those prices up too. Also it was so easy to sign up but to cancel, it was a pain. I have to send a request or call which more than half the time I can't get a hold of in less than 45 minutes of waiting. It's a shame I have to switch over waste management for being greedy.
This is the 4th time my garbage was not picked up! I called the office and they were closed and it's almost 9am! They are not dependable and have the nerve to raise their prices or discontinue your service over a late payment. They also charge ridiculous fees to restart service if your service gets stopped due to a late payment. There prices do not match their service. Then when you check the system regarding your service schedule, the system lies and marked that your garbage was picked up as it currently sits outside my house. One time this happened we were on vacation. So my garbage sat in front of my house for a week and I could do absolutely nothing. No once a month free bulk pick up, no perks but continue to raise their prices. I have so many other things to worry about besides whether my garbage will be picked up or not. I will be looking for another dependable garbage removal service.
I was waiting for 2 1?2 hours 3 times and then hung up on 3 times. They dont know the price of there service. They were confused. And dont seem to know what there doing. There definently a brick short of a full load.
Rude and don't do there job. A week before Christmas refused to pick up trash leaving my yard full of mess bill was paid and today they did it again. Picked up all the black family's. Trash left white peoples cans full. THEY SHOULD BE FIRED
Multiple times garbage was not picked up. Called customer service and got no response after 1/2 hour on the phone. Wm is not a reliable garbage service.
Worst trash company in the world. I wouldn't recommend them to a much of smelly boars! Rotten, no good Company!
Waste Management has a new policy that their only picking up trash that's in the green waste management bin, however there was no notification of that policy that supposedly went into effect Dec 4,2023 in Byram. I doubt that there was any notification sent out because everyone house in Eagles Nest neighborhood still has garbage in front of their homes! I thought we pay a monthly garbage fee for ALL TRASH, not just half the trash!
They stated that the NEW TRUCK will only pick up the green bin, but there was no new truck and there was two men as usual picking up the bins and dumping them in the truck! My camera picked up everything and I have the recording to upload if I need to do so!
So let me contact all the news stations and BBB to file a complaint! The date of this complaint is inaccurate! I made this complaint 12/8/2023 the day that trash was picked up in the Eagles Nest subdivision in Byram, MS!
I had closed my account but was still billed. Customer service said they would reverse. They did not. Guess WM thought I would forget about it. Thieves.
Half the time the company isn't picking up my trash. Watched them miss my house one day. I put it in the middle of the road. Well today they felt like *******@ssin there job again while I was at work.
I received a suspended service notice dated 6 days after the invoice. The invoice does say due upon receipt but come on! So I called customer service to see what is going on. I had a wonderful conversation with the automated response system which refused to let me talk to a real person and then hung up on me. I am in the market for a new pickup service.
The dumbest most incompetent company I have ever dealt with. So bad they refunded my money, after I spent over an hour on hold. A month later they tried to restart the service and collect the money they had refunded to me. They are literally calling me, harassing me to pay them money that at one point they had in hand, and then refunded. Worst company ever.
Worst trash removal service. Horrible customer service. Miss pick ups constantly. Inconsistent pick up times.
My trash is to be picked up every Monday. On November 20th of 2023 my trash was not picked up. I notified Waste Management of the problem after waiting 15 minutes to talk to a live person. They stated my trash was not put out. I immediately informed her that this was not true due to the fact our trash can stays at the end of our driveway due to us having a long driveway. So the trash is always ready to be picked up. This is the 3rd time I have heard this crap from Waste Management about pickup wasn't done due to trash not being put out. Do better or I will be switching services.
Awful service, Can't even speak with customer service. Takes forever and then calls are disconnected!
My rating would be zero stars if it were an option i would advise everyone not to order there service, 1 off they charge a 5,00 monthly energy fee 2 nd off I started service with wm in June of 2020 at 22.60 per month since the start date my bill has increased today's bill is 47.70. Over double in 3 Years everyone in my neighborhood has wm for trash removal times 5.00 energy fee that totals at least 1000 per month for a small community
Worst service company I have dealt with outside of Comcast! Cancelled service only to be told I would be charged another $75 for picking up the can. When I questioned why I was being charged to give them THIER garbage can back, they answered "we don't charge to while you have it". To which I responded, you charged me every quarter! Then I get the invoice and there are additional charges of $13.68 Energy Surcharge (no clue there. Didn't think my trash can used energy) and $8.50 for administrative charge. Oh, and all this after realizing there is no place to cancel on their website. I can log into my account and perform every function, except cancel! And then they tell you to leave it on the curb 5-7 days and it will be picked up. Due to HOA rules, most don't want it left over 24 hours. So, they cannot even give you a day they will pick up. Maybe we should pay more in administrative charges to get better scheduling. You have to dig to find out and then go through "chat" to get it done. That's their attempt to get you to give up on trying to cancel service. Never again will I use or recommend service.
This company SUCKS! I am forced to use them by the local government! WTF! I miss Advanced
Answer: Apparently it is how they conduct business by being as rude and unethical as possible. I hope they did not steal from you as well.
