Walmart's reputation is mixed, with customers appreciating its wide product selection and competitive pricing, which enhance accessibility and affordability. However, significant concerns arise regarding delivery reliability, order accuracy, and customer service quality. Many reviews highlight frustrations with unfulfilled orders, inadequate support during issues, and negative interactions with staff. While some customers express loyalty and satisfaction with the overall shopping experience, others report feeling undervalued and dissatisfied, suggesting a need for improvements in communication, order management, and customer support to enhance overall service and restore confidence among shoppers.

When walmart first opened they were pretty good in all areas. Now that they have a monopoly they really suck in most areas. Have long lines of customers at checkouts and will not open another one to speed up service. Get charged twice on 1 item many times. Would not warranty automotive battery on several occasions (DO NOT buy an Everstart battery-complete junk). Cannot find someone to help you when you need help. I really wish another huge competitor would step in and on them. They REALLY NEED to shape their company up. I dread going to walmart.
PLACED A ONLINE ORER. CHECKED SHIPPING STATUS A WEEK LATER BECAUSE I NEVER RECIEVED A UPDATE. ONLY TO FIND OUT IT HAD NOT SHIPPED YET. SO I WAITED ANOTHER WEEK ONLY TO GET THE SAME MESSAGE. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR THEM TO TELL ME NO INFORMATION ON ANYTHING. WAITED ANOTHER WEEK WITH NO UPDATES CALLED AGAIN WITH NO HELP FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE. FINALLY 3 WEEKS LATER I GET AN UPDATE TO TELL ME IT WAS SHIPPED AND WOULD ARRIVE ON A CERTAIN DATE. CHECK MY EMAIL ON THAT DATE AT THE END OF THE DAY FOR THEM TO TELL ME IT WAS DELAYED. NEVER AGAIN ILL ORDER FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE.
So Walmart cancelled my order multiple times because their "credit and fraud avoidance team flagged this order as unusual." I chatted with them to escalate, the representative promised me the order will now be okay if I place it within 24-72 hours. Guess what, they cancelled it AGAIN and is now using up my credit. Great thing is most of their product can be found somewhere else so I don't have to be too persist in purchasing from them. One thing to point out is that some random guy somehow logged into my account, purchased a used Apple Watch and iPhone 7 for themselves, selected a completed different pick up location in a completely different city, and Walmart's sensitive fraud team let the payment went through. American Express caught them for me, thank you Amex!
If you order from walmart.com better use your street address for shipping and not your p. O. box address. I used my p. O. box address and now I wish I used my street address. Just have a really bad experience with walmart.com.
Walmart is a biggest retailer shop in the world also in USA. And they have lot of collection and option.
I placed an order for several items to be delivered to my home. Then I got an email notifying my order was shipped except that one of the items was ready for pickup up at a store. (As if I was able to go to a store).
How does an order get broken up into part delivery and part pickup? Being unable to go to the store is why I ordered online for delivery to my home. The customer (so called) service online "chat" says there's nothing they can do so I cancelled that item. This is a classic example of dealing with Walmart. Too big, too clumsy, too unresponsive. Only my 2nd order from Walmart.com. Probably my last.
Shopping here is a bless! The variety is astonishing as well as the always friendly staff. Will definitely visit it more.
I was on the Walmart website searching for a particular scale that my store stopped carrying and it didn't take me long to find it. The price was better than I had expected and it has free delivery... Thanks Walmart
I worked for Walmart for almost 10 years and, while I received merit raises, was never able to get into management, in spite of the fact that I had scored very high on the management aptitude tests. Women are rarely promoted. Also, when I used the "Open Door Policy" to try to resolve an issue, management retaliated against me, so not only did nothing get done to solve the problem but I was harassed into leaving my job. The work atmosphere at Walmart is very unprofessional and many inappropriate situations are allowed to continue because managers are too busy fraternizing with some of the associates. The workload is unreasonable and the wages stay persistently low. Also, when I was applying for paid medical leave because I was going to have surgery, an assistant manager told me I would have to use my vacation time for that. (To his credit, the store manager said, no, I was entitled to my earned leave, and my vacation time was separate.) I would not recommend working at Walmart if you value your physical and emotional health. It is draining and sucks the life out of you and there are no opportunities to move up. Associates are treated with such a lack of respect.
I ordered cologne through Walmart.com and didn't realize that it was actually GiftExpress. They sent their items. Late. One was missing. I sent it back at my expense and they only gave me a partial refund. They did not refund me for the missing item but they kept the money. Where I come from, it's called stealing.
I always got the great value bread because it's cost-effective, but lately it just doesn't taste right. This morning when I had a piece and it tasted kind of moldy. I have had bread that just didn't taste right or has a strange smell. Has anyone else had issues with the bread?
Even though I've read so many bad reviews about them, I can say that I am pretty satisfied with their services so far. Not bad, so far...
This is the fourth time I have been lied to by Walmart.com representative regarding getting a return label for a third party product I cannot use-$116.00. Monday I called for the 4th time and the rep said she would forward my complaint to some sooner-dooper group that handles problems not resolved. It hasn't happened. I encourage on line shoppers to carefully research what the policy is for returns to third parties. Walmart will not advocate for you. In fact, I disputed the charge with Citibank and they lied to them so now
Gutless Citibank has recharged me for the item. I like my local Walmart stores but will never order from Walmart.com again.
Went to Walmart in Burbank from LA because the said Dia De Los Muertos Barbie's because my wife wants one for her birthday. They had 6 they had 0 then went to porter ranch because they said they had one. Again nothing then back down to Rosemead because the sight said they had one nothing. Why didn't I call first I did and all they did if they picked up at all is put me on hold and hang up after about 30 minutes terrible customer service called the complaint line and all they did was give me the run around.
Like many people who have left a review for Walmart during pandemic times, Walmart has changed its policies, so buyer beware! We used to be able to bring back items with missing parts, broken items, and rotten items and get a refund.
Enter COVID, and all of the sudden, they have trained all of their 1-800-WALMART associates to say, "The return is up to the discretion of the store manager. I'm sorry. Is there anything else we can help you with?"
As you can probably guess, the local store managers are not accepting returns.
Here is one example of something that we were stiffed on by Walmart. We bought what we thought were live worms for our reptile, and the worms were so dead and rotten, they were melted and stunk terribly. Look at the picture. Isn't it disgusting? The store refused to let us exchange the dead worm carcasses for live worms.
We are going through a pandemic, true. However, you can't blame the state on the world on everything, including on dishonesty and shoddy service and products. The pandemic did not make the worms rotten. The associate responsible for maintaining the refrigerator where they are stored for sale is responsible for not rotating the items.
On top of that, the manager at our local store is just a big, fat bully. The last time she spoke with us, she yelled at us on the top of her lungs. We make it a point to be polite and professional, but that's the thing about bullies. They will act poorly no matter how well you act.
It's just greed. Amazon.com did not change its return policies just to rip off all of its customers during pandemic times. Walmart did, and now you will lose money when you shop there, rendering what little you save at their stores useless. You can't use the pandemic as an excuse for changing return policies, especially when there are companies that have not and are still prospering despite the pandemic.
I purchased a set of cork backed placemats from the Walmart Marketplace. The placemats started to split after using them for several weeks. When I went to return them to the store, I was told that they had a 30 day return limit which had passed by 13 days. The employee said to call the Walmart customer service for assistance. The two customer service agents that I spoke with (Andrew and someone else) informed me that Walmart does not stand behind the products they sell, but that they would contact the Marketplace seller for return. Andrew then said he would contact the Marketplace seller, but ended up connecting me with the Marketplace Seller where I could only leave a message. This is a very deceitful practice by Walmart to sell something on their website and not display with the item the information that the return policy was different than Walmart's 90 day policy, This information is only visible if you click on the tab adjacent to the picture of the item and not a requirement for the purchase process. Regardless, this product should last longer than 30 days and if defective should be returnable to Walmart. The position from Walmart that they are not selling the product is ridiculous since Walmart is making money through advertising. I know the damage in the photos looks minor, but I had similar placemats from Pottery Barn and they had this same issue, but only after I had them for several years. Once the decorative film started to peel at the edges, though, they quickly deteriorated. I wanted to return these placemats as soon as I saw the issue, since I had only been using them for several weeks.
Walmart offers everything at a very reasonable price from fruit to produce, things are more expensive than at other stores so you need to be cautious and compare prices from the other stores also the vegetable not fresh most the time.
So many of the products are out of stock, unavailable or even more expensive than elsewhere.
They don't honor what they say
So i walked in the Walmart on 1890 may 5th at 2:45 on a sunny day so i go to the candle aisle and i just start smelling them so hard because im addicted to the soaps you see but then i really had to $#*!@connectionsacadamy so i run as fast as i can to the bathroom im pushing babies carts people out of the way yelling THE POOP SLIDING OUT then i get too the bathroom and the poop is just sliding out at this point like it goes everywhere on the stall omg then i slept in the walmart with $#*! everywhere on the ceiling and walls around the stall omg that toilet was shattered
They sometimes have free next day shipping and second day shipping. Just makes it so much easier when you have a little one at home I can just go online choose the option to see what is next day shipping available. Purchase all of the items that I need to be able to get in a timely manner and the stuff is delivered to my home. I don't have to pack my child up and try to go out to the store especially with the virus going on. It has been the biggest blessing being able to utilize the shopping online
