I cannot prove it, but it is my suspicion that Walmart is selling knockoffs of electronics. Here's my experience: I purchased a phone from them; when I got it home and attempted to call the 800 number, the maker of the phone suggested it was "stolen" when I gave them the serial number, and wouldn't activate it. I returned it to the Walmart, and they gave me another one. It worked fine for a period of approximately eight months and then went belly up. I returned to the store, once again, with the receipt, and they had the unmitigated gall to say they would only replace it after 15 days. Wow! That's all they're willing to back it up. They thought I wanted to purchase another phone? Really when it won't even last a year? It is my suggestion for anyone: Do not purchase ANYTHING from Walmart that needs to be plugged in, because the chances are great that a name brand, especially if it's a TV, won't really be the brand it says it is. When you get it home and plug it in, you will be really lucky if it lasts the week. Save yourself the aggravation and frustration you're going to feel and purchase it elsewhere. You'll be glad you did.

Ordered a stereo and it came broken. They don't give refunds, only store credit.

My mother and my stepfather and me went to Wal-Mart and I went to buy a bag of candy and my stepfather was at another register buying beer. When I went to pay for my candy I was asked for a id. I did know why I needed a Id for candy. They said Wal-Mart has to Id everyone that purchase alcohol but I was only buying candy. She asked if I knew that man at another register. I said "yes, he is my stepfather." She said the he was buying beer and if I had come to the store with him the she had to id me home and my mother before he could buy the beer. I put my stuff back and so did my mom and stepdad. We are no longer going back to Wal-Mart for the way we was treated.

I have purchased many things from this site and never had problem. I would recommend this site to everybody this is the best place to get shopped

I have ordered from this site many times and have had no problems.

Ordered a Huffy Bike on line to be delivered to the Walmart in Berlin, MD. Waited two weeks for the bike to arrive. We received a text from Walmart.com that the bike had arrived. We called the store and said we'd like to come pick up the bike and have it assembled by Walmart (which they do for free). The bike assembler, said he was looking right at our bike and it would be ready on June 4th. We get the store - there is NO bike but Walmart.com has shipped us a boat paddle. Customer Service Manager at the store and Bike Assembler at the store were unhelpful, ineffective, and not very customer service oriented. Even when we spotted a boxed up Huffy Bike in the back of store where the shipments come in - the manager said - that is not yours, that is going to another store? Any chance that could have been the person who ordered the paddle? The Manager answered no - she does not check anything, doesn't try to confirm what that other order might be. So we have a wrong shipment, a manager who is too lazy to look up and verify an order, and a bike assembler who told us he saw our bike when we spoke to him on the phone (what would you call that?). In the photo - you can see the paddle and the Huffy boxed bike sitting in the background that the Customer Service Manager refused to look up.

Walmart is up there in competition. Their prices are still great but others are there right behind them They are using more outside distributors which is great but they will not back up the product they sell. I have found more and more of this. The consumer is caught in the middle. I purchased a 10' x 20' garage tent and after 4 months, it crumbled to the ground Wal mart did not resolve and neither did the manufacturer. I was out $145 for that tent because the supports were not strong enough. But I still like shopping at Wal Mart but they have the stores set up so that you go in for a "few" things and come out with $200 worth of "few things" This store is addicting.
