Bought a new movie release, Argylle, but the movie does not play. I keep getting errors that the movie cannot play. My advice is to purchase movies from another provider.
Signed up, bought like 6 movies to watch while on the plane as traveling is a part of life. Downloaded the movie, got on the plane and airborne and the movie stopped. Upon landing, called Vudu asking about the movies I Bought, not rented. Like $130. Was told that a connection with the server must be in place to watch said purchased movies. Well, $#*! on my whistle. I thought buying the movie was like buying a DVD, taking it home and watch it wherever/whenever. Explained to him that therefore they are lying and stealing as purchased movies are not "purchased" but merely rented at a highly inflated mislead cost. So, told him to delete my account and I hope he can find a better employer that has more honor than Vudu.
I ve purchased an older movie, Aliens for 5. Noticed that there is Aliens Special Edition for $5, a few lines down. Contacted Vudu's customer service and waited over an hour. Told them what happened and the clown said was we dont offer exchanges. It is litterally the same movie and the same promo pricing. I am not asking to switch to another movie nor was I asking for my money back. I ll think twice about giving my money to that company in the future. Might as well buy the 4k movies with digital codes. Vudu dont give a rats $#*! about their customers.
My vudu has been requiring me to authenticate my membership multiple times a week, for no apparent reason. Vudu corporate seems unwilling to take any action and seems multiple people are having the same issue. I would avoid signing up with them at this time.
I've bought a lot of series from VUDU. I love to add my all time favorite series and movies to my permanent digital collect. I purchased the complete series bundle of Walker Texas Ranger for nostalgia reasons. It's corrupted. The video stays playing but huge pockets of sound are replaced with LOUD STATIC. This is over multiple devices. It happens in the exact same second of the episode on my phone, iPad, computer or tv. VUDU asked me all sorts of questions about my home video setup…then ghosted me. I've tried contacting customer service but they keep giving new issue #'s. I argue to attach my original issue # and they promptly hang up or end the chat. This company is shady and corrupt as the digital files that they sell.
I bought an older movie that had bad language in it. This movie was only $5, but all the bad language was bleeped out and ruined the movie. The bad language starts about 15 minutes into the film so therefore I was not eligible for a refund. Very disappointed with this rule since I don't control how the movie was written or

In recent weeks, I have tried numerous times to buy a movie or show. The payment method is just fine. However, within half a second of getting a purchase confirmation, I get a purchase error. My transaction is canceled every time. I tried to reach out Customer Support and got the same answers that were found on the internet. Nothing and no one has been helpful. It's a system error on their part, and yet, nothing is being done to resolve this issue. Their Virtual Assistant is a joke too. I was second in line and got pushed to 4th in line. And waited for over an hour to reach someone.
Vudu has the worst picture quality of all streaming services. There customer service is by far the worst waited for 30 minutes for them to say they will send me a message with a number to help fix the problem. I definitely would recommend resetting your device and changing your password every month there is many problems with their service movies will shut down and lose sound. Also if you collect movies take a screenshot of your movies every week because they like to remove movies that you bought from your collection I can keep going but there are many better services like Amazon iTunes and even movies anywhere that are way better in prices and picture quality
Can't log in on any device when i called to ask for help they said to bad not our problem I damn I pay a lot of money to watch movies and $#*! and the last laughed and said she needed my social number all the serial numbers on my devices my router info and they were rude and nasty but this app is bs might want to keep an eye on ur account worse streaming app terrible customer service they did t even care to help or anything acted like I was dumb
First off, I purchased movies and redeemed codes from the time when Walmart owned VUDU only to have several of those titles disappear from My Movies and customer service give some dismissive response about not having any confirmation of purchase. It wasn't a lot of movies, but I kept documentation of actual dates of purchase and redemption of those movies into my account only to be told by customer service that they have no record of the movies that were previously in my VUDU account, and there was nothing they could do for a long-time customer with over 3,000 purchases. Then tonight, I tried to purchase a $4.99 Weekly Movie Deals only to be told by customer service that it doesn't matter that VUDU is advertising the movie at $4.99, it is not on sale and is actually $17.99. This is clearly deceptive advertising and a 180 revolution from customer service that was so helpful in past years. Buyers beware! There have to be better companies than this one where you won't be swindled and mislead by dishonest business practices.

It took for me to email and call vudu so I could cancel my service. In what world do you have to go this hard to cancel a streaming service? It should be a simple option on your account to cancel. Instead I deal with a rude condescending women who couldn't let me speak to her manager because allegedly they are too busy and don't want to tie up the lie. They can't give me a managers name and instead of putting me on hold to wait so I can wait for the manager they tell me I have to call back. The sales person was extremely rude and not helpful and I STILL DONT GAVE MY ACCOUNT CANCELLED! They purposely make it hard to cancel your account so they can continue to bill you every month for the service and it's disgusting.!
I've been pleased with the quality of digital movies I've purchased on Vudu. My only real complaint is the closed captioning, which I depend on. On many of my titles, the captioning comes and goes. On one title, it's up to a minute out of sync, a permanent condition for which there is no fix. I'm resigned to this. I delete and refresh my Vudu channel on Roky occasionally to improve its reliability, but that offers only temporary improvement. Assuming prices are the same or similar, I prefer now Apple TV Plus when buying digital content.
It is so frustrating to sit there and watch the screen jump syringe consistently. Terrible and a lack of integrity to even take people's money!
I have purchased dozens of movies since before they changed from Fandango Now to Vudu. They replaced one of my purchased movies with a different one with the same title. Multiple contacts to customer service who lie and say they will escalate the matter. Then left hanging for half hour in the middle of a chat! They DO NOT CARE! You buy at your own risk! Never again!
3 years ago I put in the new Ghostbusters and the ring a couple days ago I went to watch them Ghostbusters was changed to paranormal activities and the ring was changed to Alfred Hitchcock The Ring from the 1920s I tried to explain to their customer service that I've watched Ghostbusters many times and why was it changed and where would I get a code for a 1927 movie they're exact words were we want the proof of purchase.I said I put it in 3 years ago why do I have to do that because you changed it?
Buyer be ware, I purchase thousands of movies over the past 5 years. Only to log in a few months ago, and more than half my movies disappeared. I have call customer service multiple times only to be told I have to talk to the escalated department that seem to never be there when I call. I was told over 10 times that I would get a call back within 72 hours to take care of problem. To my surprise noone call but I get a generated email trying to fix the problem which I did and didn't work. So I email customer support multiple times, still ko phone call and only to get same email back over and over again with same resolution that don't work. So basically at this point they are stealing money from me. I have purchased thousands of movies from them that I full own and they delete. Only to hear nothing back and same excuses over and over again. Not once have a got a phone call back, when I requested over 20 times.
I've pre ordered 6 movies and gotten none of them, have to pay full $ as soon as they come out I can buy with no issues.
What bull$#*! and hard to have proof unless isn't not out yet then, it says your pre order confirmed...when it's out it's just disappears
I rented a movie and I only watched the first 30 minutes of it and fell asleep. The next day I worked 14 hours and was exhausted when I got home. I went to bed shortly after I got home to get up 4 to do it all over again. I get home at 6 and go to watch the rest of the movie and I can't. I call customer service and they said oh well, you can rent it again or buy it. Don't waste your money on them.

Answer: I would just stay away from vudu altogether. They are the worst company I have ever interacted with. I spent a lot of money on videos with them and I cannot watch any of them because the just buffer literally every 5 seconds and then I downloaded them through vudu to go and they won't play on there either. I keep getting a message that vudu cannot authenticate my account. I e-mailed customer services 3 times and have never received a response. I have wasted about $1000. 00 on movies that I cannot watch. I have started using amazon prime video and other sites as well and have no problems whatsoever. Just stay away from vudu they are just taking your money.
Answer: I have had nothing but problems with vudu. My opinion is just stay away and use another company. They are the worst. You will waste your money.
