I work with several warranty companies. This is the worst warranty company we have worked with. They would not pay out what they said. Our customer had to pay over double his deductible. We took a $175 hit.
WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING.
I found a BMW in my local area and it says it was located at the VROOM in Jacksonville, FL, when I called VROOM Sales, they said that it was actually in San Francisco and the shipping fee would be $2,999.99 to deliver the vehicle to Florida.
Beware, this company is terrible and should be banned from selling use cars. Complete false advertisements and trying to rip you off of your hard working money, in attempts of charging insane shipping fees.
While Carvana also has it's issues with questionable shipping fees, they seem to be a little more reasonable and have some vehicles for free shipping.
I was in the Market for a used Ford Mustang GT and I was caught between CarMax, Vroom, and Carvana. I really like the layout of the Vroom website but between the horrible reviews and actual legal issues Vroom is currently having and dealing with their customer service I went with Carvana. Their pricing is high but where they did have Carvana beat is their financing terms especially for me coming out of a Chapter 7 United Auto Credit offered the better terms. The problem is the price of their car is higher than it should be which will be an issue when it comes to refinancing. Also to actually have to put down $250 non refundable deposit to hold the vehicle for 24 hours is not consumer friendly. With Carvana for all the issues they may have you get a hold through the whole process you are buying the vehicle and no deposit was ever required. Plus Vroom customer service is outsourced which I have a problem with compared to the others. Honestly I don't see Vroom staying in business, they did buy United Auto Credit so they may just get into financing but I doubt these guys will last.
Do not engage with Vroom.com to purchase a car. After following every "step" from a $250 holding deposit to proof of delivery location, proof of insurance, etc., Vroom sent an email canceling the transaction. They were impossible to reach by phone or email. On the rare occasion of reaching a live human, they claimed ignorance to the situation and told us the supervisor would call. SCAM ALERT! Do not use them for any reason unless you want to enter a frustrating nightmare.
Vroom provides the worse customer service and they do not stand behind their time lines. My experience with them was not great. I received a car they supposedly inspected but had so many faults it had to go to the dealership shortly after receiving it. There is never a manager available to answer calls. This company needs a lawsuit put on them to be honest. Will never do business again with this company.
I chose not to buy from Vroom for many reasons, but communication was #1.1st and foremost the worst communication I have had from any retailer in the 20+ years of using the internet. I placed a car on hold and paid the 250 dollars. I started the process with Vroom (which was easy) and then added a trade in to the deal. This is where everything went downhill from here. Days passed I did not receive any communication from a single person. So, I called them to get an update. For over 2 hours straight each day for 3 days I tried and tried to get someone on the phone that could help. I would get passed from agent to agent and then disconnected and not on 1 occasion, several. I was told over and over again I needed to get in touch with my Car Specialists to resolve the issue and that they were unable to get in contact with him. I emailed the "Car Specialist" that was assigned to the deal several times a day and called their direct line to never get in touch with them. I did this over and over for 3 days. So, I gave up and moved on. Anyone considering buying from Vroom should believe the majority of the reviews they read. I thought despite all the bad reviews I would give it a chance; glad I did not go through with it. I am sure if this is how the deal started out who knows how it would have ended up.
I bought a car through Vroom 4 months ago and I haven't received my plates and title yet. Don't buy a car through this company they are incompetent and terrible at communicating to you about your information. It is an embarrassment, and they should be ashamed of themselves since they can't deliver simple information to you and effectively. I had to get a rental car because of their inconvenience. DO NOT BUY A VEHCILE THROUGH VROOM UNLESS YOU PLAN ON WANTING YOUR REGISTRATION 5 MONTHS LATER. Thank you.
Purchased vehicle 2/2022. After many delays received vehicle right before the first payment was due. This was the beginning of the nightmare with Vroom. Cars are not thoroughly checked as repairs were needed right away. Vroom indicates the first ninety days are covered by them however they indicated that they would not cover the repairs and I would have to submit them to the warranty company. To make matters even worse, after 6 months the vehicle is still not registered because of the continuous errors with the DMV paperwork. Constant phone call and emails, no one can get this right. A class action lawsuit is in order for this company.
4 doors do not lock, oil leak, rear wiper broken, codes showing for the radio, seats and doors and needs front brakes. They are offering for me to have the van fixed and reimburse for the repairs when they should have been aware of the issues and made sure they were selling a good vehicle. Now I have to spend my time getting it fixed or loose money having it sent back. Very disappointed!
I sent an email to you about my car. If nothing is done about this situation I will file a civil lawsuit against this company. I was told by the mechanic that a check engine can be shut off and once it's driven for a while it will come back on. So that means Vroom sold me a faulty car and paid off my car in a hurry so I couldn't get it back. There's a 90 day warranty on my car covered my Vroom and they only want to fix the first problem. Tires and brakes should have been inspected and changed before the car was sold. I was sold a lemon and Florida have lemon laws for these types of problems. All I'm asking is to fix whatever problems this car has or I will be forced to file a lawsuit against this company for selling me a bad car. Most companies give 30 days or 1000 miles to see if you want the car. 7 days it's enough to address any issues the vehicle may have.
This company should be shut down. For one thing they say they assign you a representative, but you can never communicate with them. You will have numerous problems that they will not address.
Vroom appears to be effective at selling cars until payment is made. Once they receive payment customer service and communication cease. I purchased my car in 2020 and my air conditioner stopped working. I contacted Vroom over the weekend to make sure my extended warranty would cover the repair. A rep told me it was never activated, and she activated it as of today (two years after I'd purchased the car). She also said I could contact the customer service on Monday to get the needed paperwork. I contacted customer service who said I'd needed to contact the ins company to see exactly when it was activated. I spoke to a gentleman who said he saw that the service plan was activated, couldn't say when and didn't have my paperwork. I was redirected back to Vroom. I was then told the warranty was activated over the weekend; it was already activated but couldn't say when. I spoke to another gentleman who said the warranty was activated once I make my first payment but couldn't explain why the first rep told me that it wasn't activated. I asked to be refunded the first two-year payments on the warranty since it wasn't activated. Now they are saying they needed to contact another dept to see exactly when the warranty was activated. I'm getting the run around. They need to admit their error and pay back my money. I'll never purchase a vehicle from them ever again!
I can't even tell you how horrendous this company it. I traded a car in on another car back in December of 2021. The trade part actually went well. They paid me more than any other company would, and they had the car picked up within a week. Great. I also got lucky and received my new car within two weeks--it actually was delivered the day that we moved out of our house in Gilbert, AZ. We moved to California in January. The temp tag that was provided expired in February, and as of July 13,2022 we don't have the title or tags for the car. We have been driving the car just hoping that we don't get pulled over. I call almost everyday and get the runaround no matter who I speak to. I'm beginning to worry that we will never get the title work.
Due to vroom selling me the vehicle without a valid title, we are now 3 months without being able to receive the permanent tags.
I really can't put into words how bad they are it has to be experienced. To put it in perspective I canceled a transaction where I was going to get double for my trade then anyone else was offering because they are that bad, They keep asking for more and more documents and when one csr says you don't need that another one says we can't go forward without that. Nobody knows what the other person is saying absolutely no uniformity they really need to fold up and start again. I will never see my down payment or my title back for my trade I'm almost sure of it.
If you buy from Vroom what you are getting is a mechanically faulty car, loss of money, fear in mind. Their 90 day extended warrenty is a joke and scam.
I was on a vacation with my family and suddenly temp gauge of car started spiking to red and loud noise started coming from engine bay. I took it to Firestone (luckily it happened in front of it). They diagnosed that the radiator fans both are gone. I tried calling Vroom customer care but was not able to connect as it was a public holiday.
I got the car repaired and it costed me $1K. Next day I send mail to Vroom customer support with invoice and diag details as I was sold the car promising 90 days extended warranty; now the drama starts.
Vrrom customer support told it is not vroom that covers this but 'SafeGuard' and gave me another customer care number!. Ok fine, I called 'safegauard' and raised a case. After sitting on my ticket for 3 weeks they closed that saying this is an EXISTING ISSUE of my car and cannot be covered! Does that mean that Vroom sold me a car with mechanical issue that they are already aware? If this is the case then all mechanical problems can be said as 'already existing issues'.
Now I dont know what all these kindof 'Existing Mechanical Issue' my car got! When you are out of the state with two kids including an infant will you fix the car and get going thinking that the cost will be covered as per their extended warranty? They should cover genuine customers rather than trying to scam and milk money out of them. Othewise one day people will realize their tricks and keep away from them.
I trusted Vroom and thought I was getting a good deal, but this is what they gave me in return.
Please be very careful doing business with them. God bless them.
Do not purchase a car from VROOM! Purchased my vehicle in March 4th 2022 still haven't received my title. I have spoken with over 15 people at a call center that all tell me that someone will reach out within 24-72 hours. They never do. I was originally told I would receive my title in 60 day and then 90 days and now it is 120 days. I have asked to speak to a manager/supervisor that is based in the US and have never been able to get someone to call me back. There isn't enough room in this box to go through how bad the customer service is with this company. The first part of the process was good and I had high hopes that the reviews were incorrect. I paid cash for the vehicle and received it within 5 days and received the tag and registration with in 30 days, but still no title. I will be turning this over to my attorney if I don't have a title in the next 30 days.
This place is a joke. After you purchase a vehicle you get several numbers for "customer service" that are trying to confuse you and buy time! I am waiting on tags like so many others. Buy a car and get the run around should be their advertisement. I hope this torture ends soon!
Bought a used Toyota Rav 4 from them through Adesa auction been waiting since January 2022 for the title, something is wrong with this company. I question if they are solvent.
Answer: I got a good offer and my car is 2 years old and in better than average shape. In fact they offered 1400. 00 more than the local dealer, more than Carmax or Carvanna. Then I read reviews, the BBB and received the contract. In there point #7, they said they have the right to adjust the price and do not pay out until they inspect the car. Called and canceled the contract before it got any further. In this day and age I decided if I'm going to sell something I need to look at the person face to face. VROOM holds too many unknowns.
Answer: Don't trust them! Can't handle simple matters as honoring a deposit.
Answer: Awful. I have been waiting for a month and still don't have our deal done yet due to their disorganization and expiring their offer on my trade in, so now I have to start all over again with that process - which, by the way, was part of the reason I chose to buy from them!
Answer: Yes, wait and wait and wait and wait. Be smart, walk away from these people
Answer: Then go ahead and sell it! They do not force you to buy a car!
Answer: They are a bait and switch company! Truly what's on the internet is not always true! If it seems to good to be true? Probably to good to be true!
Answer: I wouldn't do it. Everything in my experience with them has been painful and fishy! I still don't have my deal done yet after a month!
