If you have patience like a statue this will still frustrate you. Vroom delivery has called me 4 times saying that my car would be delivered that day at 530pm. After 7pm 4 different times no car no call nothing! I actually forgot I put down 20% on a 40k it's been so long. Paid 6mths insurance on the vehicle and still no car. My first payment on the vehicle is due in 5 days. WTF! Please dont do it.
I called and called and called no answer finally I had to call the bank and my lawyer. $#*! this! They have no idea what's going on
DONT DO IT!
VROOM customer service was very unresponsive, their process for out-of-Texas purchasing is difficult, their 7-day money back trial turned out to be a scam because they bully you that returning the vehicle is super complicated, the vehicle arrived very dirty, we've subsequently found pieces of glass, after the 7 day trial we've subsequently have found software issues with the vehicle.
I have received the reimbursement check for battery replacement 7/1/19. The check was for the cost of battery $159.72.
I received shipment of my 2016 Volkswagen Beetle on 4/11/19. On 4/25/19 my battery died and I had to get roadside assistance for a battery jump which cost me $66.00. Roadside assistant recommended that the battery be replaced. I purchased a new battery 4/25/19 for $159.41. All receipts for battery & roadside assistant were emailed to Vroom. I was informed that Vroom will pay for the battery but not the roadside assistant because I didn't use the recommended company. I have not received reimbursement for the battery after many calls & emails.
Still waiting on a car that is only 200 miles from my house. It will be over 2 weeks before it arrives and I fear the worst. Don't buy from them.
Experience was not good at all. Never received a call once I submitted my application online had to finally call them. The sales person I talked to was very rude, unprofessional and had no customer service personality. I stayed on hold so long for over 45 mins. Without the person ever coming back saying anything. I finally hung up. I decided to try Carvana instead, I advise anyone don't be so desperate that you accept this lack of professionalism. They trying to compete with Carvana and others but don't have the structure, mannerism, or professionalisms to handle its customers. If they start from the beginning of the process with this behavior what you think you will deal with once you enter into a contract. I say Run Run... Horrible service!
Buying a vehicle from Vroom was the worst decision and experience I have had. I purchased a 3 year old (2016) GMC Sierra. The vehicles supposedly pass some "high standard" of inspection and "pass multiple inspections for safety, mechanical, and cosmetic issues before it is sold". When I received my truck (later than was promised in the delivery quote) the tires were completely bald. I was somewhat ok with this as tires do wear and need to be replaced, but most reputable dealers will replace tires before selling a vehicle. I took the truck in to have new tires put on (5 days after getting the truck) only to find out the struts were "pouring" hydraulic fluid, not just leaking but pouring. Also the brakes were "shot" with 3 mm on the front pads and just under 4 mm on the rear
I called Vroom and sent them photos of the struts and brakes to see what they would do about it and got a huge run around. After calling and emailing multiple times daily, my "new" to me truck has now been in a repair shop for a week, is past the 7 day return period, and needs a ton of work. Before I have even received the title for the vehicle, I am having to put $4000 into repairs on a vehicle I just spent over $40K on and should have had all of these things taken care of before it was ever listed for sale or left the lot.
I agree with another reviewer the truck only came with one key. It did say in the ad one key. When I asked the sales person about it I was told they say that on all vehicles but many do have 2 keys. They would "look into it" and get back to me. Of coarse no one ever got back to me and it came with only one key.
I would never buy a vehicle from Vroom again, and if you are considering it, I would suggest you think again and look elsewhere.
Pro: Chevrolet makes a good car, but Vroom has nothing to do with that.
Cons: One they've set the hook, they don't respond to emails and avoid talking to you.
They give you 24 hours to provide all paperwork, however, they didn't provide all paperwork to be signed in the first Fedex... and blamed me for it.
Once they get through one stage of the process, that representative is suddenly not available. They don't care... you're just another customer.
They make excuses to prolong the process... thereby making money on interest earned with your money.
Finally, got a delivery date and... you know it... they shifted it to the right. Apparently the change was due to some other customer needing his car more than I do.
Apparently all cars they get in only have one key. I find that odd for a car with only 15k miles. Are they repurposing the other key? Things that make you go hmmm.
Haven't seen my car yet. The photo shopped pictures can be deceiving. Will have to wait and see.
Finally, it's a good business model but the management needs to look into how they can take better care of their customers because the employees don't.
Ordered the car. Once we got confirmation that it was being delivered Wednesday before 4 pm (took off work to wait here all day) - we then got told it would be here Thursday between 11 am and 1 pm. That time passed. Then it was pushed to Thursday evening/night. Delivery guy never showed. Friday morning we call, it was supposed to be here by 11 am. Guess what? THEY CANNOT GET IN TOUCH WITH THE DELIVERY GUY AND CANNOT TRACK THE TRAILER FULL OF CARS! Missed 3 days of work for this. Ended up just cancelling the order and requested a refund on the delivery fee. I lost more money missing work than my delivery fee cost me. SUPER UPSET about the entire process.
TERRI MOTT PULLED MY CREDIT BEFORE REALIZING THEY COULDNT FINANCE CARS IN PENNSYLVANIA OR MASSACHUSETTS. SHE KNEW I WAS A PA RESIDENT BEFOREHAND. NOW I HAVE AN INQUIRY ON MY CREDIT FOR NO REASON! TIM SUPERVISOR DIDNT EVEN APPEAR CARING. HORRIBLE! WHO DOES THAT?! ALSO THE CAR WASNT THAT GREAT OF A DEAL- JUST AT KBB PRICE- WHEN I SEE DEALS FOR UNDER KBB! ALSO AN ADDED $500 SHIPPING FEE!
Put a deposit on a car and got trade value. Contract came and did not deduct these two from the price. Called and asked for a new contract but it never came. Cancelled the transaction two weeks ago and still waiting for refund of deposit. Bought and received a car from Carvanna while waiting.
Called them and applied to purchase a vehicle, they ran my credit and I was approved (and of course this was a credit pull for the approval) they said they would call back in 30 min. But they didn't, so then I called them, and they told me that I was approved for the car... said to call back in 10 min to get everything set up! So I did, and within that 10 min they sold the car I wanted! So I got a credit pull for nothing, DO NOT go to this company... terrible company and warn users to be very careful... do not gamble with them. Go and see the care and talk to a real person. Trust me on this, horrible.
I paid for the car in advance, got a bunch of e-mails about the car being delivered and when the date came for the car to be delivered they said the delivery vehicle broke down and not sure when the car will come. After waiting a few weeks, I had to ask for my money back. The company simply said sure, no apologizing or nothing. Personally the feeling of having given Vroom a bunch of money and not getting the car is scary.
We are still waiting for the document the California DMV requested Vroom provide to finalize the title transfer and registration. I rarely complain, but... despite one person who was very nice at vroom, the rest of experience has been a lesson in months of frustration. We will go to the DMV this week and plead our case about Vrooms unresponsiveness and maybe the DMV will have mercy on us. BTW, we have paid all taxes and fees and the car cannot be legally driven now.
I am hopeful they will get us the paperwork we need. We have the title, but because Vroom is in Texas and the car came from NM, and the title arrived almost three months late, our California DMV requires evidence that no title was issued, before we can get our car registered. We now have a ten day window to complete registration. After that our $25k car will be operating illegally in our state. We have already paid all the taxes and fees required. We are hanging on with hopes that this will get resolved by Vroom in the next few days.
We are still waiting for the title for the car we paid for more then three months ago. I rarely complain about a company, but this has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had in purchasing a car. We have called numerous times to get the title sent to us. We have the car, they have the money ($25,000) and we have NO title. This is serious. I am beginning to believe they sold us a stolen car. Don't use VROOM.
We started the process of buying a car with Vroom 24 days ago. This was when we started the final documents and signed everything for the purchase. This is also when they seem to have failed to process the paperwork on their end. Daily, they continued to tell us that the car is in Quality Control for 15 days. No one even noticed that the car WAS STILL FOR SALE and nothing had been processed. We needed the car by a certain date for a family vacation and had started the process a month in advance. We were assured that we would have the car with no problems. It is now three days before our vacation, we have had to cancel our order as they can't get the car to us by the time we leave. They can't refund us our money for five to seven days and now I need to take time off of work to go buy another car at a dealership so that we can have a vehicle to take on vacation. Please save yourself a considerable amount of time and frustration by skipping this company. We have talked to over 20 people and haven't found a single person that is actually helpful. You will find yourself always on hold and it is always another department that handles something. No one can help. Save yourself from this headache!
I sent Vroom $4000 2 WEEKS AGO! Still havent heard when my truck will be delivered. Salesman tells me some story about the truck having a scratch a over a week ago. 3 days ago the story changes to 2 scratches. Im being strung along. Started the process on the 6th of Dec and I confident the new year will arrive before my truck does. Do what we have been doing for decades and go to a dealership. You will get a car/truck and not an excuse. DO NOT BUY FROM VROOM. Your welcome.
The sale process up to wiring full payment for the car was super fast and responsible, but once payment was made, there was pin drop silence. Numbers are all call center people that have no idea of what is happening, after escalating to a sales manager, there has been constant run-around and excuses and the latest has been additional repairs they are doing... but still 3 weeks in the car has not been shipped! Is this a SCAM to hold money from people without interest?
I knew exactly what type of car I wanted and what features I wanted and found one on the VROOM website. The site lists all the features for the car and shows a lot of photos for the car. The price was more than fair (I had been looking for 2 months) and I called and had the whole thing done in less than 4 days. They shipped the car to me for free and I had it in less than a week. It was painless. The salesperson was commendable considering I have OCD. The tag and title team did a great job. This is the 2nd car I bought online. I had bought another car online first from another dealer. I absolutely love the car. I would recommend VROOM to anyone. It's set up to help those who are ready to buy a car and have their ducks in line. Great team of people who will answer any questions you have along the way.
Mrs Hasazada,
You cost my husband a loan for a vehicle that he needs to do his trade of work. You know, the work that produced the pay stub that you called FAKE. Not only did you cost him the loan, but also his reputation with the bank that was going to finance the truck. You determined that the company wasnt a legal company because you googled it, WHAT! I provided you with the Texas tax ID and also the bank account. I was willing to send you copies of the W-9 for the company and, the W-2 for Kacy Price. The hit to Kacy Prices reputation with the bank will prove to be worse than losing the truck loan. The truck was a fathers day present and a need for his line of work. You dont know us, so let me help you understand.
This past years we have been through hell and back. We started a oil company that struggled after oil prices bottomed out. You have seen his credit, its not good. Let me tell you why its not good. Because when the oil company started losing money. He didnt take home a paycheck. We paid all of our employees without letting anyone go. So our finances and credit took a hit. Because our employees depend on us to support their families. We have a family to. So to make ends meet without a paycheck. I worked as a pharmacy tech at night and he mowed lawns. We were tired, so tired but we kept on going and made it. All of our employees never missed a pay period. We went to bed every single night knowing that our employees and their families had a roof over their heads and food on their tables. Yes, it would have been easier to let them all go. But that wasnt an option for us, because we possess qualities that are rare in this day and time. I have had experience with you so I know you wont understand what qualities I am referring to. They are honesty, integrity and loyalty.
I pray that when you are in contact with the next person. That you will remember everyone has a life, and everyones life and happiness mean something to someone. So dont take it from anyone.

I recently purchased a used car from the Texas VROOM dealer. I think there is a NY dealer as well. You see the car you want with tons of photos, you can hold it for a $500 fully refundable deposit. I paid a fair price, no negotiations needed, have a full car fax in hand and the Vehicle is exactly as pictured. Down side to the website is that there is no real vehicle description, you simply have to call and talk to the sales rep. They say the sales reps do not get commission and the process was no pressure. My only real CON to the process is that the paperwork was done via snail mail and added a week to the process. I did the financing through my bank and all the paperwork was signed via email or DOCUSIGN. But VROOM had to mail me the paperwork and I had to mail back. They need to update their process to the internet age and then it would be great. Also comes with a 7 day return policy and some warranty. Much better that dealing with a used car salesperson and not craigslist risk or BS.
Answer: I got a good offer and my car is 2 years old and in better than average shape. In fact they offered 1400. 00 more than the local dealer, more than Carmax or Carvanna. Then I read reviews, the BBB and received the contract. In there point #7, they said they have the right to adjust the price and do not pay out until they inspect the car. Called and canceled the contract before it got any further. In this day and age I decided if I'm going to sell something I need to look at the person face to face. VROOM holds too many unknowns.
Answer: Don't trust them! Can't handle simple matters as honoring a deposit.
Answer: Awful. I have been waiting for a month and still don't have our deal done yet due to their disorganization and expiring their offer on my trade in, so now I have to start all over again with that process - which, by the way, was part of the reason I chose to buy from them!
Answer: Yes, wait and wait and wait and wait. Be smart, walk away from these people
Answer: Then go ahead and sell it! They do not force you to buy a car!
Answer: They are a bait and switch company! Truly what's on the internet is not always true! If it seems to good to be true? Probably to good to be true!
Answer: I wouldn't do it. Everything in my experience with them has been painful and fishy! I still don't have my deal done yet after a month!
