Horrible experience. At the beginning it all seemed great up until the moment they were supposed to send the paperwork, title and registration. It's been 13 weeks since the car was delivered and we still don't have the bill of sale, a signed contract, the title, the registration, the plates. The temporary tag expired and we can't use the vehicle anymore because we're not allowed to drive it. Last time we did we got a ticket. Every time I call, they tell me the same lie, and nothing changes. We don't know what to do anymore! We're filing complaints every where, but so far nothing has improved or changed! STAY AWAY! Wished I had seen these bad reviews when I purchased.
Purchased an Infinity Q70,2015 (27,000 miles on Odometer). Had to replace tires. Car (with Carfax) had been in an accident! So much for Carfax! In the last three months an electrical problem has discharged the battery(s) 5 times.
I was Towed to dealership twice, Had to call USAA for Roadside Assistance 5 times. I took a 5 yr./75,000 warranty on the vehicle (cost: over $2000). I had to e-mail Vroom's website to get a copy of the warranty. Their vendor for the warranty is Advantage---there was no "Advantage" to me to have them cover the warranty---they would have nothing to do with any repairs! And ANN (their employee) couldn't be bothered with a conversation with me!
If you sell your car to them they may drop off a "Lemon" to you, and then TAKE YOUR CAR! Never to be seen again! From a legal perspective, what are you going to do, go to Texas and sue them in court? I have driven Infiniti's since 2005---you get a good bang for your buck, especially used.
My advice: Stay clear of Vroom. You are buying a car sight -unseen. Would you buy a Home this way?
I am from North Carolina.
HORRIABLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT, car came with peeled paint and no response from customer support line are always busy takes weeks to talk to some one who is responsible.
They cancelled my car pickup without notification and customer support transfers to delivery and delivery transfers to contract and contract teMtransfers back to customer support.
Car in my garbage for more than a months and still no response.
Vroom's Sales Department was awesome to deal with. Their Title Department is like dealing with a zombie vampire from hell; that no matter if you put a stake through it's heart, doused it with a bucket of Holy Water & fresh fresh garlic, then exposed it to sunlight, it would still come back from the grave to bite you on the neck. Just plain awful to deal with. I highly suspect that they will try try to finagle the taxes they collected from me in the sales contract which I was assured would go to my State's Dept of Motor Vehicles so that I can get my license plates. In the end, I wished I never went through with the purchase.
DO. NOT. USE. VROOM. TO SELL YOUR CAR.
They are a fraudulent company and are trying to scam you.
I reached out to Vroom 7/20/2020 and they emailed me a quote for my car. I accepted the quote and filled out the online documents. A few days later, they Fedexed me more documents and requested I mail them back.
Once that was done, they informed me that a company would be coming to pick up the car. It took 2 weeks for a delivery service to come (most likely due to Covid). They picked up the can on 08/05/2020.
I was told that a payment would be mailed to my lien-holder 2 DAYS later.
On 08/11/2020, someone verbally confirmed a check had been mailed.
It is now August 31st ( 2 days shy of 4 WEEKS) and after daily emails and phone calls with lengthy hold times, I was just informed today that no check has actually been mailed.
I requested to talk to a manager and they said they would email someone and to expect a response in the next 24 - 48 hours.
This company is a scam, and now I have to make another months car payment because them didn't send payment out on time. For a car I don't even own anymore.
DO NOT USE THEM TO SELL YOUR CAR.
Vroom advertises it buys cars. What they should advertise is give us your car for free. I had a 2014 Toyota Prius two with only 34,000 miles on it. Add email Vroom for an estimate. Their offer was laughable at best. It was $5,000 lower but any offer I received from dealerships I was willing to sell the car to. My personal recommendation I would never use Vroom. The dealer I sold a car to said it wouldn't stay on his lot of day. That's how clean the car was. I just wanted to get rid of it because I had too many cars in my driveway.
Vroom customer service does not exist. It is literally impossible to reach human beings by phone or email. It took me 8 hours yesterday to get an answer to a simple question about paperwork. When I finally succeed in talking so someone... and, that person never has authority to answer questions... they reminded me first that a "deal deadline" was approaching. I suggested that they extend the deadline by the time it took me to get an answer from them. The said that couldn't be done.
This is a poorly organized organization... understaffed or over tech dependant or both. I hear that other services like CarMax do much better.
Extermely horrible experience.
First car, it was subaru outback. It has mechanical issue. The power steering was broken, i do know if they inspect the car. Or just fool us.
Then i exchange to alfa romeo. 14 days after signed and paid in full. They still not ship the car yet, and every time i called them. Different stuff give me different answer.
STAY AWAY FROM VROOM
Inconsistencies with requirements. Inconsistent customer service. Refuses to provide deposit redund. Extremely horrible experience. DON'T DO IT!
Upon delivery, I noticed right away the driver side floor Matt was missing and owners manual was missing. The Bluetooth also did not not work. Notified the guy over the phone that completed the transaction and nothing has still been done about it after 2 weeks.
God only knows how much it costs me to pay for this car that vroom sold me as if it had no accident and supposedly guaranteed by carfax of no problem only scratches and the rubber on the door is glued with superglue but when I put it against the sun I looked at the door had another color that obviously is not the original door I was so disappointed in these people who cheat good people! Please do not buy with this company they are not honest they sell you cars in bad condition and then they do not answer the phones, hopefully they will sue them and comply with all the damage they have committed!
Day One: Expressed interest in purchasing a vehicle. Very eager, friendly, and easy to contact salespeople.
Day Two: Swift service continues. Paid hold deposit. Established blackout dates (days not to deliver vehicle).
Day 4: Swift service ensues. Received contract, signed and returned via FedEx the same day.
Day 5: They hooked me. Swift and friendly service completely died. Received an email stating a delivery date I had already established as a blackout date.
Day 6-10: Repeated attempt to make telephone and email contact in order to ensure proper delivery dates. Either no answer, no return calls, or up to 1 hour hold times.
Day 22: After many many many phone calls and emails I received an email stating a good and proper delivery date.
Day 25: They finally had a nasty car hauler from Mississippi travel to some auction in Orlando, Florida to pick up a car that was never properly reconditioned at any Vroom facility. Filthy inside and out. Smells like old food and no indication of any recent mechanical service having been done. Cheap Walmart floor mats.
Day 34: After many many many calls (most unsuccessful) they refunded my deposit and I was finally free of them. If you want a cheap car and don't care anything about the experience, they're your go-to dealer. You will get a cheap car. It's too bad. Back when Vroom was Auto America, top-shelf, fully reconditioned automobiles and positive purchasing experiences were the highest priorities. Grabbing investors' money and trying to catch Carvana are their only priorities now. Sad.
Was super excited to find the car at a price I wanted. They changed the delivery 4 times, moved it up a week then tried to bring it at 10pm.
Due to the pandemic and things being closed it took me longer than the 7 day period to get an inspection. Didn't pass because the tires are bald.
They won't honor anything since its over 7 days.
Go local and save yourself the hassle.
Worst experience of my life. Picked up car it had crack windshield, bald tires and damage on a finder. None of this was disclosed before the purchase. And try to get a hold of Customer Service is a JOKE, don't bother leaving a message, they won't call you back. And Customer Service is a JOKE there is NO HELP there for you.
Find another way to buy a car. Run away fast
My experience with Vroom has been the single worst purchasing process I have ever gone through. First, I was asked not to use their online flow and then complete the purchase through a salesperson on the phone. The urged me that it was way easier and more efficient. Not only was it not easier, but it took over 1.5 hours and the salesperson screwed up the information and we had to go through it again.
After finally finishing the contract signature and sending they money, there has been virtually no communication from Vroom. They don't respond to emails, and have provided no status update on when my car is being delivered, or any tangible tracking information. I call and there is basically no one answering the phones. I would have much rather gone to a dealership to avoid this customer service experience.
I purchased a car from their website, worst mistake, the sale representative was nice and responsive until i was approved, for the bank and them disappear not hear from him not answer my calls. After that struggle 2 weeks pass, someone else finally help me, now i am struggling whit the delivery haven't get a delivery date it been 1 month. De delivery if the dept answers, they don't have that information keep saying that someone is going to call me in 24 to 48 hours. NOBODY CALL NOBODY SEND ME AN EMAIL. NOTHING... TODAY I AM CALLING THE BANK AND CANCELL THE PURCHASE I I DONT KNOW HOW I AIM GOING TO DO TO GET MY $3000 DOWN PAYMENT BACK. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WHIT THIS COMPANY..
I just sat and watched the commercial that Vroom has where you make a car dealership and the people that work hard to satisfy their client look like a bunch of circus clowns and vicious people. I spent 20 years in the business and I never treated anybody like that and I never worked for a dealership that did either.
You should be ashamed- it's very difficult to buy a car on line. This was predicted to come to fruition when I was in the business in 1983. There's a reason it's taken this many years and a COVID-19 pandemic to make it happen.
I was selling my wife's car as she can no longer drive because of dementia and I had just made a three year lease deal on a car for me before we found out about the dementia. If not for the lease deal already in place, I would not have sold my wife's car. My local dealers and Kelley Blue Book all gave me a low ball price, even after haggling. Vroom offered me $2500 more without haggling. Their staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. The sale wen off without a hitch and I was sent a check by FedEx within 24 hours of my car being picked up.
I am extremely satisfied with my experience selling my car. I cannot speak about buying a car, as I only sold one to Vroom. Any reviews should be categorized by buying, selling, trading, etc. so people who are looking for info concerning their situation could look up the reviews covering their particular situation. Only fair!
They got my paper work on the 18 of june 2020 paid them 599$ for delivery my car has not been shipped yet and got a email today saying they are running behind and they are prepping for delivery all they are doing is looking for the cheapest carrier to haul my car i wish i arranged it myself or fly out to houston and pick it up and this is the 2nd time they have done this to me never again i will Buy from Them!
Paperwork was a snap after that it was all downhill. Told the car would be delivered on the 22nd of June. Nothing the a call it would be delivered on the 24th received a call delivery would be on the 25th at 12:00. No car no phone call. Call company no answer. I am ver disappointed and wondering if I've been scammed. At this point I would not use this company. Three days wasted waiting on a communication. Finally the car arrived! It was everything they said it would be, no dents or flaws, the inside was like a brand new car. We love the Acura RDX!
Answer: I got a good offer and my car is 2 years old and in better than average shape. In fact they offered 1400. 00 more than the local dealer, more than Carmax or Carvanna. Then I read reviews, the BBB and received the contract. In there point #7, they said they have the right to adjust the price and do not pay out until they inspect the car. Called and canceled the contract before it got any further. In this day and age I decided if I'm going to sell something I need to look at the person face to face. VROOM holds too many unknowns.
Answer: Don't trust them! Can't handle simple matters as honoring a deposit.
Answer: Awful. I have been waiting for a month and still don't have our deal done yet due to their disorganization and expiring their offer on my trade in, so now I have to start all over again with that process - which, by the way, was part of the reason I chose to buy from them!
Answer: Yes, wait and wait and wait and wait. Be smart, walk away from these people
Answer: Then go ahead and sell it! They do not force you to buy a car!
Answer: They are a bait and switch company! Truly what's on the internet is not always true! If it seems to good to be true? Probably to good to be true!
Answer: I wouldn't do it. Everything in my experience with them has been painful and fishy! I still don't have my deal done yet after a month!
