Customer Service
November 14, 2019

VROOM has a chat service that is useless. Kept responding to every question to go to their website. QX80 was listed in Charlotte and I asked where it was.
No response from Charanda G. For a while then again only response was go to website. Wonder what would happen if you bought from VROOM and had an issue? Go to website? No human contact offered? Probably just stuck with a $40K plus vehicle to deal with local dealer. Might as when buy from local dealer for a few more dollars. Poor service!

Scam
November 11, 2019

Absolute worst experience I have ever had with any company. Don't have the car I'm paying for, and continue to receive no estimate on when it may be shipped, but I still have to make payments. This has been going on for far too long. I regret going through Vroom. Total scam that I am paying lots of money for.

Good luck.
November 8, 2019

Buyers beware. You are basically buying used vehicles from auction houses. This means you are buying a bunch of problems. Why do you think they only offer a 7 day guarantee? Have troubles with the car afterwards, it won't be covered by a 90 day whatever the heck service warranty they offer'. I had to have a wheel balance due to my wheel shaking a month after my purchase. I was told my rims were out of round' -aka bent, new brake pads were added on top of bad rotors and cheap tires put on. Oh, but vroom did pay for the $46 wheel balance after I called and emailed them several times with complaints. Now, not even 2 months in, a bad crank case vent/oil separator (part of the engine)-at the tune of $1300. Of course, this is not covered by the factory warranty because it expired one month before I made the purchase. Sami the "vroom supervisor" had a chip on her shoulder and told us exactly what she was trained to say... only 7 days... only 7 days. Maybe buy better vehicles and prepare them correctly for your customers so we don't have these type of exponential surprises, issues, and repair costs. Thanks Vroom, for this continued terrible customer experience. If you would like to make this better, cover the cost for this repair with your service warranty'.

Scam
October 26, 2019

Picked a car... filled app out. Got a call 10 seconds later and rep took additional info. Called back in an hour congratulating me on getting approved. Needed pic of drivers license and would get an email with delivery date. That is the last I have heard from them.

In short - I traded in my 2015 Z/28 for a 2018 ZL1 1LE. Vroom shipped the 1LE to California and picked up the Z/28. I've had the 1LE for almost a month. My trade-in is not paid off nor does Vroom know where my Z/28 is at. Making payments on two vehicles this month. Reporting car stolen to the Houston Police Department tomorrow.

We sold our car to Vroom Process seamed straightforward and seamless, they picked up the car Sept 30th. It is oct 9th as I am writing this and still have not received a check. We have been calling vroom daily and they claim the check has been issued but has not shipped. Obviously this is very inconvenient, does anyone have advice on what to do? If we bought a car but didn't pay we would owe a lot in interest / fines..

I was a first time buyer and I applied for a 2017 Ford Mustang GT. I didnt think I would be approved for it but I still gave it a shot. I WAS APPROVED! Vroom's team called me within an hour once I submitted my application. Once all the papers were signed and they recieved my down payment I was told they would contact me once my car was on the way. The only issue I experienced was they never contacted me to tell me that my car was on the way until the day it was scheduled to arrive. Also, my boyfriend, who was my cosigner, was waiting for his new license in the mail after renewing it online so we didnt have a lisense to submit to Vroom at the moment. But we let them know once we recieved his license we will contact them to submit a photo of it to them. This must have not been added to our file because I got a call from vroom multiple times a day asking for his license. However, despite the slight communication issue, I had a wonderful experience purchasing a car from Vroom and I would recommend it to everyone.

I'm not sure why there's so many negative reviews, I'm really glad I didn't listen to you whiners. Great experience from beginning to end, the car is beautiful and completely 100% clean on the inside, every crevice. New tires too. Arrived at the exact time down to the minute they estimated, took 3 days (located in SC). The car runs perfectly, everything was incredibly simple and they called me to follow up that everything was good to go. Don't let this website scare you from this company, great job Vroom!

Sent me right car, wrong rims and tires, broken accessories, empty gas tank. And left on hold all day to their classical music instead of dealing with my issue! I ordered the black rim package, I got silver and nobody has an explaination.

Horrible
September 9, 2019

I will NEVER I mean NEVER use this dealership and shipping service again. I missed 2 days of work waiting on the delivery and it's still not here. The agents never update on the progress of the vehicle. They email me a few day before 7am only to tell me the car his being delayed. If I miss work one more time I'm fired and I still have gotten the car. The agents can never seem to find the drive. I think this company is running drugs from state to state. Horrible service now I don't know how I'm gonna get the car because I can't miss work anymore.

Buyer Beware
September 7, 2019

I thought this was going to be a great experience and then things got ugly when my Jeep was delivered. First of all the battery was dead and needed to be jumped to get off the trailer. Not a big deal but the battery would not hold the charge so I needed to replace it on day 1 for $260. Then while driving it for the first time the right tire was making a whomp whomp sound as I drove. So I had to spend a half day having the Jeep inspected. What was thought to be a bad barring turned to be cupped tires. This Jeep has 35 inch tires with 15 mm tread and tread was measuring uneven and 4 mm, Firestone Tire recommended replacing all 4 tires. While purchasing the vehicle I was told over the phone the tires were basically brand new and it Vrooms policy to replace any tires under 40% tread. So I sent the report and estimate and photos to customer service and they claimed the report was insufficient and the photos that showed 4mm of tread with a ruler were not convincing. I was told they felt the tires were fine when they shipped the Jeep. I guess they lost over 15% tread on the trailer being delivered. Now I have to spend $1800 on new tires for $30k Jeep I bought because Vroom lied to me. On top of that there is puddle of oil in my garage because the rear main seal is leaking. They are nothing but a slick used car sales company with no face to face accountability and hide behind emails. DO NOT BUY FROM VROOM

This so called Vroom experience was a nightmare they had a car we were interested in so we made sure it was still available, and it was so we put all our personal information in so they can run the numbers we had good credit and a decent down payment and they said they would call the next day and after waiting all day for a reply and to expect to get the car they finally called with some sorry excuse that the car was on hold for someone else #1in bad business ethics what a crappy way to treat your customers. Will never do business with vroom what a disappointment

Sales process was fair until the order fulfillment. Vroom delivery agents called to arrange a specific day and time window for the delivery. On day of delivery NO one from Vroom called to check on the status of the car. After my delivery window expired, I, myself, had to call them to inform them that the car did not show up. At that time they were unable to provide any explanation of the status of the car and then informed me they were going to call back. After one hour, I received NO callback. I then had to call them back myself again to check the status. Again, they had no explanation to the status of the car and again said they would call me back. After again failing to call me back, I had to call them back on my own demanding to speak to a manager. The manager was rude and then proceeded to blame everything directly on her employees. At one point even asserting that three different employees gave me the wrong delivery date. At that time I asked her to cancel the order because of the treatment. Afterwards, I called my sales agent and asked for him to rectify the deal. He said his manager was going to fix the issue and make sure my car was delivered promptly. I was also ensured that someone was going to call me that night to confirm. Again, no one called. I called that next morning and my salesman indicated he was going to look promptly into it and call me right back. As normal, I did not receive a callback. I called back myself 6 hours later to then be informed that the order was fully cancelled. I look forward to getting the "can", I'm sorry for your experience response.

Received vehicle 9 days after their "no later than" projection. Made over a dozen calls to vroom to track delivery, each time was promised a call back with more information. Only one of those promised callbacks was made - the day it was delivered. Driver failed to call ahead and dropped the vehicle in our driveway without a phone call. Now trying to get a callback on what info to give them so they can register and title as promised. They just have no clue.
Conversely, bought a personal vehicle through Carvana. Was a wonderful experience with competent customer service, gift package, follow up.

Good experience
August 19, 2019

The whole process took 8 days, from when I called them to initiate the purchase to the day of delivery (Seattle). Had a dealer inspect the car and they said it was in excellent condition.

The negative reviews on this site had me very worried, but my experience was great.

THIS IS THE EMAIL I SENT TO VROOM
Well, I just had two of Vroom's employees not listen to me and the "specialist" had a nasty attitude.

I told the first person I talked to that my husband wasn't home and she transferred me to the "specialist" and I told him my husband wasn't home.

The "specialist" made it clear he was in a great hurry and I was slowing him down. When I told him my husband was at work, that he's not permitted to take personal calls at work and he would be home at 6:30 our time, he still wanted me to get him on the phone. It was all about making the Vroom employee's day easier and not inconveniencing him and wasting his time.

I told him to forget it, I don't want to continue with the process. Because by that point, I was sick and tired of the jerk on the other end of the phone acting like I'm not making him happy and not doing what he wants fast enough.

Then he said he would call in the morning, his time, which is 10:00 our time and again, MY HUSBAND IS AT WORK. It didn't matter how many times I told him my husband would be at work, he would be home at 6:30 our time, he would respond that it would be stupid not to buy the car because of a phone call.

If Vroom's website would have stated, "You are on OUR TIME", "You have to cater to us and be available when we're available", I never would have applied.

I told him that he doesn't have to talk to me the way he was and that it's not appropriate. Of course, he didn't apologize for the attitude. He tried to side-step his responsibility by acting like his insisting on getting my husband on the phone when he was at work was all that was wrong. Or maybe he's such a self-entitled jackass that he thinks it's okay to be rude to people, treating the customer like they owe him money, because he was trained to do so.

This is just another entity that thinks the customer is working for them and being rude and pushy is they way they are trained to treat the customer.
I will tell everyone I know not to do business with Vroom.

I had no delivery problems other that they arrived a day before my scheduled delivery. Lucky I was home. Upon delivery I noticed a tire was extremely low. Turned out it had a cracked rim replacement cost $788. Vroom actually paid for it. Now keep in mind this was within the 1st 7 days. It's July in the desert and finally we get a sprinkle and what do you know my wipers don't work. Check fuses look good. I'm now concerned. But it's after 7 days. Post sale support after 7 days is nonexistent.

Delivery nightmare
July 31, 2019

Buying the car was easy. Almost too easy. Getting the car delivered has been another story. One excuse after another. It will be delivered Sunday, no sorry we meant Monday. Oops Tuesday for sure. Oh we really meant Wednesday. Oh sorry, Thursday now. I'm 11 days in from buying the car with no car delivery in site. No one will provide any answers as to when my car will actually be delivered.

What A Joke
July 12, 2019

This "hassle free buying experience" is anything but. After I found a car that interested me, and after I was approved (thanks for the credit pull on my report now) I was told that I could use a credit card to make the down payment on my vehicle. Just like any other dealership. No problem. I was told that the $500 hold on the car would be applied towards my down payment with the same card. After they had received my documents they told me that a credit card was not a payment option, and I would need to either wire them the money or send them a money order. When I asked why, I was transferred to Griselda from the "Financial Team" who offered me no other explanation than "that's just the way it is." I am a person who likes to understand the process I'm going through, and I don't feel like asking "why?" should be met with such a defensive attitude. Talk about a SCAM! Stay away from these complete morons.
