I hate the fact that we are forced to use this rip-off company to obtain critically necessary documents. They are unprofessional, lied to me regarding their "policies," lied about which charges are for what and paid to whom. It's easier to nail jello to a brick wall, than it is to have a straightforward conversation with anyone there. They didn't even know what documentation was required for what I needed, and when I spoke to Oregon Vital Records, they said to send my request through, they would approve it. V. C. Still wouldn't until I did handstands and pirouettes. When I told them I didn't want or need it expedited, don't charge me the $7, they said they had to. Vital Records from the State of Oregon assured me that I did not. It took another 35 minutes on the phone to convince them that I don't have to pay the extra $7. I was right. They are needlessly charging every single customer an extra $7, and then lying to them when they ask questions.

Lots of questions out on the web, yes it's real. I am not sure about the other websites but this one is. The state of New Jersey directed me there. Than I read they only send you the website after you pay. Not true, I received my birth certificate in less than a week. Thanks Bonnie

This is the worst business to ever have to rely on for anything as important as your personal records, these people are $#*!ed when it comes to adult timely business and all their hands are broken because they can't ever ever ever seem to pick up the phone in a timely manner, I've been waiting over a month for my birth certificate and they still don't know when I'll get it or even if its been sent out yet, my entire life is on hold right now just waiting... get a rope now and do yourself a favor!

I order a certificate and after 105 days they didn't send it I called them and they told me that they need 100 business days more because they didn't notice that I need one number so they can take the document you just going to lose your time with them

Been almost 2 months, they wanted information after information to continue, things I already sent to them. Called 3 times, waited an hour each time, Only way to contact them. I went straight to county records, took less than 2 weeks, much better option.

So vitalchek charged me almost $20 for next day shipping when my estimated delivery is in a month!? Honestly I'm sure going to your local vital place would save you the time and money. Also, why is the page closed and why can't I send them an email?

I need a death certificate and this was the only way I could get it without in person visit. Except it requires my probate attorney to do at an additional cost of $100's of dollars.
PS I need death certificate to prove I am estate executor. So I am in catch 22! Until I get death certificate I do not have authority to request death certificate!

Ordered my Birth certificate back January 2022 to so that I can replace my passport for a family vacation, and it is going on July, and I still have NOT received my Birth Certificate. They continue to give me the run around. They continue to tell me it is the city in which i was born and I contact them directly and they are still in search of my information that was supposed to be sent back in January. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST! My attorney will be getting involved.

This company is a scam they take your money and deliver nothing and won't answer to the BBB

Awful customer service. I ordered two birth certificates on February 22nd 2022. The set delivery date was supposed to be April 5th. I patiently waited to June 23rd 2022 to reach out. I was told because of covid they were having trouble processing orders. I have been given the run around about my order and receiving a refund. Personally I would take the time and effort to go and get my legal documents in person instead of using vitalchek they are a scam

I needed a copy of my marraige certificate. I had no choice but to use VitalChek. Their ONE job, was to send me the appropriate form. The form they sent, I completed. ONE WEEK LATER, I was told I had "tampered" with the form, and now they were going to send me another form... after I had taken time to go to fedEx to get a copy, then across town to UPS for a notarization. ONE JOB! Send me the correct form! But no. Couldn't do that. Now they are asking me to tamper with another form with different information. After speaking w/a supervisor, who was that Super-Sweet-But-Unapologetic for the lousy CS given to me by her company, she kept asking me if there was anything else? Anything else? She had the energy of someone who wanted to just get me off of her phone. I responded YES! You have wasted much of my time and money w/your companies incompetence, so, please, do not charge me. I am a week out, and will be closer to two weeks out once I get the form notarized for the second time. I did not have two weeks to waste. But Thank You! VitalChek! For wasting that two weeks for me.

I had a email sent to me 4/29/22 stating my birth certificate was being send out to me. (Standard mail)
However, I never received my birthday certificate! I called and spoken to two agents that informed me that they would sent a message out to LA County to see if they actually sent it or not. Also, if it just been a shipping label made for it and have not yet to be sent out. This was in the beginning was May. It is not June going on July. I called again. Vital records have not receive a message back from LA County. I am upset. All I was if my birthday certificate. Vital records told me since it was sent via standard shipping they can not track it. I should always have it sent USPS or FedEx because they can track it better. However is my eyes, that's bs. Anything that is regarding someone personal information should ALWAYS have some type of tracking system. I paid for what I can afford! I feel like this company and LA County is ripping me off. The thirds associate that I spoken from Vital Records said I can pay for a new one. Which why would I have to do that when I already paid for another one! I don't want to do that. I am not working at the moment. I informed that agent of that. She stated she can sent out a message to the refund department. It's up to them to give me a refund or not since it was done via standard shipping. Vital records don't take your information to important! They don't care! It's not to vital for them if it was sent out standard shipping.

I used it on 3/18/2022 $23 for my son's birth cert. Voided 3/31/2022 without chance of correction and only refunded $15 and kept $8. On 4/19/2022 I paid $23 for birth cert. Again, they asked for upload of my photo ID and /or mails from gov't or utility. I uploaded many times and still rejected. The customer service rep was rude and stop me from talking. She repeated same thing that I know. I explained the same zip code has different city names on my documents which she said they rejected. I am worry now that I had sent many of my private documents. Are they ligit. Will my private info. Be exposed?
They are not refunding. Now is June 3, I should have went to the office and would have the birth ceritificate.

I ordered a birth certificate they never delivered it and told me to contact the county what the hell did I pay you for? Don't buy anything from them.

While VitalCheck makes the process of getting a copy of vital records smooth and even quick, the cost is outrageous! You pay for the document, you pay for the shipping, and then you pay half again for VitalCheck. I live in NC and needed a copy of my Massachusetts birth certificate. $42 for Massachusetts, $9 for shipping, and then $19 more for VitalCheck. And I am told that the cost of obtaining vital records in other states can be even higher. We have come a long way from when it was $2 a copy plus a stamp. Outrageous!

The fees for printed pieces of paper are outrageous. The requirements are also over the top. The forms should not have the order number on them if they are getting notarized and then they can be printed and completed prior to setting up an order. That way if you cannot get to completing the entire process within the timeframe, a paid notarized document doesn't go to waste adding to the already ridiculous fees.

I am so disappointed in this company. I wish I had checked out their rating before I gave them my money. It took 4 faxes and then ended up mailing the documents to them to begin. After 3 weeks I called. They finally told me it would be 90-100 business days to get the birth certificate. Never indicated that before. So ordered Feb 14,2022. Called yesterday and they told me if would be another 55 business days. Geez. I did ask them if they were a legitimate company or had they just taken my money. They said they are legitimate but even if they are I would find another way to order a birth certificate. Very poor service. Don't use them.

I submitted an order to receive a certified copy of my child's birth certificate. Verification was needed so I submitted a photo copy of my child's original birth certificate and a picture of my driver's license. As soon as I submitted the verification I started receiving multiple emails that verification is needed, again. After several weeks of this I became fed up and called. The customer service representative was extremely rude from the get go. Of course this didn't fly well with me so I returned the rudeness and then was hung up on. This company is a scam. In the long run, I realized they didn't charge me the $30 I agreed to for a certified birth certificate but instead charged me $11.95, a month later, only to deal with their hassle and rude customer service.

This is supposed to be a more convenient way to get documents, but it's really a cash grab. I don't know if the local government is getting a kickback from this or, this company is simply allowed to act as a monopoly without impunity. A $25 birth certificate ended up at $63 after all their fees. Outrageous. Nothing but a bunch of thieves.

This company is fraud they state you will get your documents in 65 days when they know most credit card companies won't refund after 60 when you ask for an update they give you the same $#*! it is in processing,
