I had an issue with one of the bags and I contacted Viking and after careful review of my concerns they contacted me and were willing to work with me. Great group of people and better yet a really great looking and functional set of bags. I hope to have on the bike for many more mile. Thanks Viking.
Dealing with Viking is a nightmare. I spent years looking for quick detach hard bags for my FXR4... years. I finally settled on the idea that I'd have to use easy brackets... So I looked on the VB site and they offered nothing. I emailed them, they said they had nothing for FXRs. I saw photos on their site with FXRs, so I chatted online (via their site) on 2 different occasions with 2 different reps that actually confirmed with their supervisors that they have bags for FXrs, they told me any bags that fit "superglides" would fit FXRs. They informed me the bags would fit with easy brackets. I ordered them in March of 2020. After I ordered them, all of my free time ended. I'm an RN and Covid was a game changer for my free time for over a year. I finally got the bags installed about 10 days ago because I finally have a bit of free time now that covid is more contained. They are of decent quality. Problem is... you don't need shock cutouts when using easy brackets. So not only are they goofy looking from the front, a lot of space is not available d/t the cutouts. I emailed VB... they basically responded that the original email sent said they don't have bags for FXRs and that they would never recommend "after market" attachment accessories. Well, they sell the easy brackets on their own site. That's the first lie. Second, I chatted via IM on their site at least twice and they informed me what bags would fit the FXR with easy brackets AFTER speaking with supervisors, twice. If Viking treats frontline workers during a pandemic this way, I can't imagine how poorly they treat everyone else. This company does not deserve your hard earned money. They just don't care what happens after they get their hands on your money. They didn't even offer me a discount to buy new bags. Nothing. I am now looking for hard bags from a different company.
You would expect them to fit. Well, expectations are what they are. The bags came with brackets where you needed to add two additional holes, after attempting to mount the bag with the provided holes, I was unable to do so. I did add to holes to one of the bags but was unable to install. NO RETURN, NO CREDIT.

I caught the bug of going on adventurous tours on my bike since I was very young. For my vocational trips, I needed to carry a lot of my stuff. I ordered a large-sized Sissy bar bag from Viking Bags for that purpose. It arrived earlier than expected and the quality exceeded my wildest expectations. For Christmas my family got me saddle bags and a sis bar bag. I opened the they look good. However, the clip on the sis bar bag was broken. So I request an exchange which it is being processed. However, the saddled bag are garbage, very flimsy, did not fit correctly on my HD Soft tail heritage, I requested a refund. I got it their policy. It coast me $66.00 for a return never again ( I lost money on this deal). You are taking a chance when you order from this company
Love the quality of their bags I order a couple of days back and now I have the bag, it fitted very easily my KAWASAKI looks very cool with that bag, I've been riding bikes for quite some time and I'm amazed at the quality of this bag.
I purchased the bag back in January this year and I've been using the bag quite often. There is no doubt about the durability of the bag. I hope they keep it consistent the way it is. Highly recommend it.
I ordered a tail bag and saddle bags from Viking. Very expensive with the Canadian dollar exchange.
1. They charged me $115 in shipping fees.
2. The tail bag arrived in a box from Fedex along with the hardware for the saddlebags - but NO saddlebags. A receipt in the box shows the saddlebags are part of the order.
3. Phoned Viking several times over 2 days - can't reach a real person. Left messages, never got a call back.
4. Viking charged $115 in shipping fees but never told me that there will be additional fees for delivery by Fedex. By the time all is paid for I am paying 4 times as much - with no product.
I purchased the Extra Large Hammer Series Motorcycle Saddlebags on July 20,2020. When I received my order I waited a couple of days to install the saddlebags. After installing the first bag I looked for the key to the locks in every parts bag included with the order, I also looked in both saddlebags, the inside pocket of each bag and the original box the saddlebags were shipped in. There was no key shipped with my order.
As the main reason I ordered this set was that the saddlebags included keyed locks on 7/24/2020 I sent both email and chat requests to customer support asking that the issue be resolved. I immediately received automated replies to both saying it would take up to 2 days to research and reply to my support request. On 7/28/2020 after not receiving any further emails, other than the twice daily advertising emails they send, from the company I submitted follow up requests, which were also ignored.
On 7/29/2020 I accepted their offer to write a review for my purchase. In the review I provided the same information as I have in this review, the same rating and same type of language. As previously stated by other reviewers the company basically doesn't post the negative reviews and seems to have disabled my account since I submitted my review.
The company still has not replied about my specific issue, has obviously rigged the ratings that are posted on the site by not allowing negative reviews to be published and seems intent on refusing to address any issue one may have with the purchase of the company products.
If you are looking for even slight customer service from a company stay away from VikingBags.com also just because they advertise that a product has certain features do not assume it actually does or that the company will make it right if it doesn't.

Bags are adorable i installed them at my first ease. My Road King looks more pretty with these bags. Saddlebags are of good quality and should be long lasting, i personally like the name vikingbags on it. I'll definitely recommend others and will buy more products from them soon.
I got my pair of saddlebag from vikingbags.com for my SUZUKI INTRUDER, thank you for the excellent bags and service. I've got $40 discount on, ongoing sale. Bags are beautifully designed, small pocket in front of the bag looks very cool. Bags are easy to install on bike and doesn't need to read the user manual for the installation.
I submitted an order on Memorial Day. I called the company to confirm that I ordered the correct saddle bags and trunk to match the Honda Shadow 750. I was put on hold to wait for a customer service representative. After 5:30 minutes, I was then told there was no customer service representative available and that if I leave a message they would call me back. I left a message and received no call back. I repeated this attempt to contact them by phone over eight times during the first two days. I emailed the company and received a message back that they would respond within 48 hours or two business days. I have waited 10 days with no response. I went to the BBB and found this is normal behavior for this company. They do not send out their orders, they do not respond to their calls or emails. They take your money and have no ethical sense to complete the order or refund the funds. I placed an order totalling $744 and still waiting for a refund. The BBB has a rating of "F" for this company. I warn anyone NOT TO PURCHASE from this company.

Answer: There is no designed kit for that installation. But its simple to work around. All you need is a longer bolt that can sustain our qds hardware and the sissy bar all together which can be found at their local hardware store

We have heavily reviewed your case and would like to clarify to anyone that gets a chance to read this review and response. Back in March of 2020 when you placed your order we did not have anything listed for your bike, a FXR4. Mr. Borkin was advised via email prior to his purchase that we did not have his bike listed on our site. Furthermore, Mr. Borkin went ahead and purchased saddle bags for a different model bike that were not compatible for a FXR4. We are always looking to find all possible solutions for motorcycle luggage and unfortunately we were unable to proceed with an installation solution for the bike in question.
