This past summer I did 3000 miles through 7 eastern European countries. I utilized the Viking Century Sissy Bar Bag and the factory Indian saddle bags. Around town, the factory bags were fine, but with my wife on the back and us on the road for 17 days, it became clear that the factory bags, although nice, simply were not functional. The openings and internal capacity is small and made our travel more difficult. I have since upgraded to the Viking Indian Specific Brown Leather Motorcycle Saddlebags with the help of Scott Adam over at VikingBags.com. The openings allow for loaded duffel bags to be placed inside and removed at our destination much easier and the locking feature improves security. The fit and finish of these bags are fantastic and at 1/3 the price of the factory bags, they are highly recommended.

Most of VikingBags products are 'universal', meaning they will fit on a large percentage of bikes but not specifically made for your exact make and model. It's important to be patient when you receive your bags and try to mount them on your bike. These were far less expensive than other brands and a fantastic deal for the quality product you get, I was expecting subpar materials and not the attention to detail in the zippers, D-rings, and construction of the straps. But don't expect detailed instructions and use your common sense when mounting on your motorcycle. They give you a ridiculous amount of attaching options and straps which make the mounting process much more easier. I have three different types of their bags and use them on my four motorcycles, just doing a few strap adjustments when switching bikes. Scott Adam in customer service has been fantastic to deal with. I'd recommend these bags to anyone.

I acquired these Viking Cycle saddlebags along with the Viking Cycle tail bag and a Viking Cycle Skeid leather coat to start the riding season soon. Viking bags makes high quality stuff at reasonable prices.
These saddlebags are really good with sports bikes but they will also work well in cruisers. I have tried them on my Honda CBR650 my dad's 1996 Katana, and my mom's Honda CTX 700. It works for all these models because it is adaptable using the included adjustable straps. These bags have lots of room, can be expanded and have outside pockets. Enough room for days of riding or just to do errands. Very tough and durable material and the right look complete the five- star package! As you can tell, I really loved this product. It is much better than another set of saddlebags that cost me more and were not as strong as these. They are also very easy to install and take off the bike. Jacket fits perfecy and I've gotten lots of compliments on it! I LOVE the ability to use/not use the thick liner on long rides... cold in the AM, then hot all day... In my leather jacket I either froze or had to sweat bullets. Since the liner fits perfectly in my swing arm bag, now I'm always comfortable no matter how unpredictable the weather! Amazing! Lots of zippers for all your stuff and the back of the jacket really covers your bum- no back drafts! Velcro straps at the wrists are great, too! LOVE it! Highly recommend! Excellent customer service by Scott Adam! Really happy with the whole experience!

Bought the bags for my Sportster Iron 883.

The bags are very nice, but the hardware does not fit the bike that they claim it does. Watch this video if you want to understand what you're getting into: On youtube search for viking bags sporster install and see what the poster girl had to go through.

I had to modify parts of my bike and get new hardware to make the bags fit. The installation instructions are not even close. The hardware does not match their own parts. Customer service rep hung up on me almost immediately.

I expected more from this company.

I have purchased a Leather Coat, Leather Chaps, Winter Gloves, and Saddlebags from Viking and I have absolutely loved all of them. In April, I used all 4 and went on a 2,000 mile motorcycle trip (NW Arkansas to North Carolina and back) and had full leathers on the whole time. I knew the Viking Bag would hold up in the weather but the 250ish miles of rain had me worried on the Jacket, Gloves, and Chaps. However, they held up like a champ. Not a single issue! I had my rain gear over the top of them but rain did get through the rain gear and my Viking Jacket and Viking Chaps kept me warm and comfortable.
