Not as advertised

Followed to the letter on USPS form fill guide on their FAQ but its still wrong. Seems that they are trying their best to prevent me from shipping my goods. The thing is, my items are in their warehouse "pending verification", in which they never inform of until items from merchant arrives at their warehouse. And now they requested to have me taking picture with my IDs, again not mentioned in the FAQs. And the estimated price of shipping is WAY off. Please stay away from Viabox

Please avoid this company, Their price is high and the took more than a week to ship a package from the warehouse. The shipment just shows as created but they never arrange with the courier to pick it up. Now several of my packages still with them and no hope to get it soon.

It's totally scam don't use that site, when they received your items they will ask you to submit verification doc's with id's after submit yhey will never reply you scam scam

I just used their service without checking the reviews before, they calculated cargo cost as if they are shipping everything separately then charged me that much then they consolidate the goods in one very small box and ship. Never going to use their service again.

I used Viabox for couple years now, it was really good and i stopped a period of time and i use them again this year. They have changed. It was cheap and effective, but this year i used 3 times, i found they are very expensive now.

I compared it with myus.com, similar weight ends up at similar price (difference was less than $10) but myus is using DHL which takes only 3 days to HK, and viabox uses TNT which takes 10-15 days to HK. They claimed TNT economy will take 4-8 days to HK but it never happened, which makes me very upset. I thought paying more could enjoy faster delivery but obviously not, if i have to pay that much why not using DHL? What did Viabox take my money for?

The price difference between TNT and DHL under Viabox is 5 times difference. I am not sure they do not have good rate at DHL or they intentionally do that so customer forced to choose TNT or what, no matter what i do not like it. I like having choices. If I can stand with 10-15 days shipping time, there are thousands of choices, at half price, Viabox provided nothing really special. I just shipped some cloths using another forwarder, I finally paid 1/4 of viabox's price and delivered in 7 days!

Viabox recently refused to ship my necklaces and ask me to fill in MSDS report which by the way looks more than ridiculous to me right after I compliant they overcharged me... and they said i am not their customer to stop publishing my review on Trustpilot, is it a coincident?

Providing a lousy services and stop customer to comment it? I do not know but this is too much.

I have used few other shipping services that forward packages from the U.S. but since I started using Viabox, I was hooked.

Their prices are much lower comparing to the rest and their service worked fine every time. I would highly recommend this service to others.

I've used this twice now, both times I ordered from many different vendors and had my package consolidated. First package was 9 pounds, had it shipped to China for 78 USD. Second package was 7 pounds, cost me 84 USD to ship to the same address. I know it's live but I would not call those rates an "unbeatable shipping price" as advertised on their main page.

During my 2nd time using Viabox, among my orders were 2 small bottles of beauty spray that contained witch hazel. I've ordered other products with that ingredient before and have had no problems with it. But Viabox refused to ship it and gave me the option to have them either throw it out or returned to the vendor on my behalf. I asked them to return it for me so I could get a refund. They said if I didn't have a prepaid return label, they could give me quotes for the cost of shipping it back. The cheapest option, to send the two bottles back to a US address (US to US) was 73 USD! That order cost only 12 USD to ship to Viabox. Their rates are high and make ZERO sense. I would not recommend Viabox and I will never use it again. #shafted

Hopeless, worst online service ever, period! I want to change my shipping address from US to Singapore. Asked me to fill in a USPS form, and even need IDs and notary approval! What nonsense is this? It is NOT STATED in their FAQ that this is required. And furthermore what has USPS got to do with me changing my shipping address? All other forwarding agents that I have used, change of address and countries is just a click of the button. They knew I have an item in storage and they are holding it hostage, and making me payment exorbitant shipping fee to US instead of a much lower shipping fee to Singapore!

Avoid at all cost. There are much much better forwarding agents around!

Recently I tried Viabox concierge service and it worked very well.
They were very helpful in assisting me when some items were out of stock at one online store. I asked them to try another online store and they were kind enough to buy it there at no extra charge.

Legitimate service, but slow and very overpriced.

So, I have used Viabox 3 or 4 times over the past couple of years, and the good news is that they are a legitimate US to Canada shipping service. Two or three of the times the service has been acceptable and the only complaint that I would relay is that their shipping markup is quite high.

However, the last time I used them (around Christmas) to ship an HTC Vive from them to my address in Canada, their service and pricing was unacceptable. I paid $230 for the parcel via (which they said was 25 pounds, even though the weight of the Vive is closer to 15 pounds). Normally I would have used their repacking service to lower the cost, but I didn't have the 3-5 business days required, so I took the hit and paid the $230 for the 2-4 business day service through TNT Express. With this service, it should have arrived on December 23, or at the latest the 27th. Currently, it is January 4th, and the package still hasn't arrived.

The worst part is that when I emailed their customer service to compain, they told me that their shipping times are not guaranteed at all, which it doesn't say on their site.

So in the end, I paid $230 (which is a ridiculous amount of shipping) to get something that would normally have cost around $50-60 to have directly shipped to me.

UPDATE:

On their website it says:

"Compare our ***unbeatable*** shipping rates to others.
There are NO HIDDEN FEES at Viabox. You pay only for shipping fees to forward packages to your country."

I believed this at first, but after this incident, I compared their pricing for my package at Shipitto.com, and it turned out that Viabox.com's rate was at least 40% higher.

I ordered 2 tablets for my children for delivery before Christmas. The items were delivered to the VIAbox warehouse on 15th December. I had to chase up with a couple of emails before they acknowledged that they had received these. Viabox then 'sat on the items' till 19th December before they dispatched. Looking at the tracking status, the packages then left Los Angeles on 22nd december and they are currently showing a delivery date to Canada of 28th December! That's 2 weeks after the items were delivered to the VIAbox warehouse in Oregon.

That's completely unacceptable. The expectation they gave on their website for the courier service I chose was 4-5 business days fro the date they received in their warehouse. That should have meant delivery to my home address on 22nd December at the latest, NOT 28th December. To to make matters even worse, these are childrens Christmas presents which will not be received in time and I have been charged 90 US dollars for a shoddy courier service!

I sent Viabox several emails and I found their responses very slow and they did not address the issues that I raised in my emails.

Summary: Do not use them if you need your deliveries quickly. Also be aware that you will pay through the nose for courier charges and yet you will receive a slow service.

I have used viabox twice now, the first time was easy and hassle free. The delivery took an additional week or so but I did save a little money as intl shipping with the store was very high. When the item reached viabox, the cheapest shipping cost they offered was $39 for a pair of jeans to be sent to the UK - still a lot but cheaper than the store.

My second experience is a whole other story... The US post office have my package ( a bag i purchased from Saks during a sale). When i was chasing the order delivery status through Saks I was advised there was no one 'home' to accept my delivery and therefore it is with the local US Post Office awaiting my collection - and has been since the end of Nov. Viabox did not advise me of this at any point.

I completed the online help tool Viabox offer. Received an email back requesting me to complete a USPS 'Delivery through agent form' - easy enough. However, the form has to be signed and stamped by a Public Notary. In UK this service can cost over £150. In USA it costs barely anything. There are online agents who will notarize a document for $75 but there are no guarantees this will be accepted or how long it will take. Also, there goes the saving I would have made. Consequently, I do not feel I should pay this fee as it is not my fault no one was there to accept my parcel on the initial day of delivery.

I now have two options, firstly progress with the notary fee but I cannot be guaranteed that Viabox will collect the item in time before the post office return the item. On the other hand, I also do not know how long it will take for the Post Office to return and for the item to be refunded (days, weeks, months...). If i repurchase the bag (supposed to be a MK bag for my mum's christmas) and change from Viabox to another company I may be in the same boat and have two packages held by the US Post Office.

Sorry for the ramble... Venting.
In summary, when it works it does work well. However, you cannot be guaranteed that anyone will be there to accept your delivery and then you are stuck with the decision of spending a lot of money for someone to stamp a document as the US and UK legal systems are completely different.

Has anyone used any other shipping service? Or been in a similar situation - notarization of documents out with USA.

These guys would overcharge by twice the amount, they would speak to you very rudely and would not appreciate your business, stay away and don't bother doing business with them. Notice carefully, all your 5 stars reviews are FAKE and written by the same person day in and day out! Don't fall for their fake reviews and don't do business with them!

Exceeded my expectations

My boxes were sealed with a security tape to make sure no one tampered with them during the transportation. I was impressed with the quality of the packaging. My packages arrived fast and tracking details was accurate

Best forwarding company

I used this company more than half a dozen times in the past few years and they always delivered my boxes undamaged.

Boxes are always professionally packaged and tracking info is accurate.

I'd recommend this forwarding company without hesitation.

Viabox does not even deserve 1 star.
They are a HUGE scam operation.
They used to operate in Indiana, but were sued, so shut down and moved to Portland Oregon.
The worst customer service I have ever dealt with, the customer service agents recycle generic responses, I have been told 15+ times my complaint would be escalated to ''management'' and I'd get a reply in 24 hours.

If you are thinking about using Viabox - DON'T. Avoid them, they are the plague. Satan spawned liars who steal your money.
I lost $55 on a wire transfer which was supposed to cost $16. They refuse to admit fault.

DO NOT USE VIABOX. This is not a drill, DO NOT USE this scam unreliable disgusting company.
