I was intentionally misled by your store representative regarding the terms of the promotional iPad I received. I was explicitly told the iPad was a gift with no additional costs beyond the sales tax. At no point was I informed that accepting the iPad would result in a $15 monthly device payment and a $10 mandatory unlimited data plan for 36 months. Had these charges been disclosed upfront, I would have declined the promotion.
This misrepresentation is unacceptable and appears to violate both state and federal consumer protection laws. I am requesting that all charges associated with this device be canceled immediately, and that I be allowed to retain the iPad as the promotional
Gift it was represented to be.
I only found out I would be paying additional charges for the next 36 months via email three days later.
I agree 100 percent. Verizon overcharged and fraudulently charged hidden fees. The bill is never the same and continuously goes up in price. Offers promotions, gets you in, then bang you don't get what's promised. They'll have a different account representative call you, get you in, then suddenly you can't contact your "account representative " ever again.
This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a phone company. I've been overcharged, and no one has explained why. The customer service representative was unhelpful and condescending. It took me over five phone calls and speaking to a supervisor, who was also unhelpful, to get an answer. I was charged for a line I was forced to get because the phone I sent was locked. I'm considering leaving Verizon and switching to a different company. The customer service is poor, and there are hidden fees. I was promised a $40 discount for signing up for auto-pay, but I was still charged the total amount. Even after signing up for auto-pay, I was charged my entire bill plus a late fee, which doesn't make sense.
This was the worst experience I have ever had with any phone company. I'm being overcharged, and nobody is explaining it to me. Then the dude tried to make me look stupid when he could have explained everything. Why did it take me calling over five times and escalating the situation to a supervisor (who was worse than the agent)( As a manager myself, this guy should not be in his position) to get an answer, and you all are still charging me for a line you all forced me to get because yall sent us a locked phone when I initially ordered it offline. I'm ready to leave Verizon. I hope some other company comes up with a promotion where they will pay off these phones for the holidays, and I can leave you guys for good. You all have poor customer service and plenty of hidden fees. Then you all said to sign up for auto pay and get 40 dollars off your bill, and I did and was still charged. Then he told me I signed up too late when the guy I spoke to before reassured me that it would be on the bill I pay Sept 8. I was still charged my entire bill plus a late fee of 244 +7 =251 while signing up for autopay. Isn't that to avoid late fees?
It just so happens that I started my career with Verizon (Bell Atlantic) as a customer service rep, so I think I know a little about it.
The customer service from VZ is horrific especially if you have to speak to a live person.
Don't even think about escalating, it's just a loop of endless frustrations. WE are talking multiple months of overbilling, multitudes of calls and reps and hours on the phone.
No one is accountable.

Verison is unethical in its business practices. I changed my cell phone plan and had the option of choosing add-ons for an additional charge. I did not select any add-ons, and within minutes of changing my plan, I received a text message telling me that extra cloud storage was added to my account by Verison for an additional $5.99/month. I then got a text message stating to follow the link to cancel, the link did not provide a place to cancel the added expense so I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with customer service trying to remove the charge. Within minutes of finishing up with customer service, I received a survey that I was eager to complete, in the middle of the survey I was asked how satisfied I was with Verson with a rating of 1 to 10, I gave them a 1, the next question asked why I was unsatisfied. While I was typing in my answer, I received a call from the customer service supervisor asking me to text the word "Quit" to stop the survey. She was insistent that I do this immediately while she waited on the phone. I explained to her that I was not done completing the survey and she continued her demands. I told her that I would do that after I completed the survey, and she finally ended the call.
I went to the local Verizon store and paid off my phone so I could go to a different cell service provider then I transferred my phone number to the new carrier. About a week later got a bill from Verizon because I switched mid month so I just paid it. Now it's been two more weeks and I get a notice from Verizon that they are going to bill me next month! I have a new carrier and don't owe them anything. Looks like another trip to Verizon store and then to my bank to block them.
Verizon sales team are the most unethical manipulative liars on earth, do not, again do not sign with them before they give it to you in writing. I believe, the team some how like the mother company, do not, again do not sign a 2 years contract with any service unless you are 100% you getting the service you deserve. I have a 4 lines business account with them they made a mistake in my bill which I was billed for over than $3,000 in a month and they did whatever they do with all customers and they disconnect your phone Friday evening after business hours and they leave you with one option which to be connected only to their collection office in the Philippine that have only one option that yo pay in full before they return your service, we are sales people "Loan Officers" and imagine how much we lost during our summer season weekend, even today I called billing at 9:00 AM I stayed with their rep for almost an hour, she discovered the mistakes and told me she will fix and turn back the service in less than an hour it is 1:30 PM now and nothing happened. Verizon is he most unethical manipulative liars on earth hide behind its 2 years contract.
Worst company ever. Dint know hoe they are getting away with this. I canceled my service and paid out my phone and all charges. Confirmed 3 times all charges were paid. Received a bill today and when i called customer support I was told it wasn't verizon it was the government charge for porting my number to another carrier and I could either pay it or contact the government to dispute the $18.95 charge. And then, because of the charge from the "Government" for porting my number I owed Verizon $1.39 service fee for billing it to me. Worst shadiest company ever! I thought there were laws against these kind of practices?
Had my appt for installation today. Only to get an email thanking me for rescheduling at a better time for me a week later. I never rescheduled. I ordered the 2g's highest internet and apparently the infrastructure is not up and they can't install. I will be loosing my job this week because I have no WiFi. Not one rep told me about this and a supervisor Chris told me the system showed it was ready for installation but in fact was not. Now I'm out a job and Verizon's only way to fix it it to offer first month free. I don't know what that's going to do when I can't feed my kid or myself. Thanks a lot Verizon. Buyer beware Verizon will lie just to get a sale. Then tell you sorry there is no other option. One rep she told me she didn't care what the situation was that the installation ain't happening. How rude and unprofessional. This company is a joke. So ready to switch carrier for my 4 cell phones and get another WiFi company. Verizon SUCKS
Verizon staffed with incompetent people. Billing department doesn't know what they are doing, they do not interact with the operations department, resulting in false billing. I was subjected to false billing for months (I had no Verizon account) with resulting collection activity and negative reporting with loss of credit rating by Verizon to credit agencies. I have received an official apology from Verizon but my credit report has not been corrected.
Recommend any prospective Verizon customer explore other options as Verizon is not to be trusted.
I am very angry about how they accepted the disconnection of my internet without having asked me the question, they never asked me as the owner of the account, now my house is unsafe without security cameras, my children do not have security, yesterday I found one of the doors open, I called an agent and he told me that I have to get some new internet equipment and pay for it but first he promised me that he would help me but when they called me from Verizon I gave a good review, then the agent called me again telling me that he can't help me and he said sorry, never trust an agent. Does anyone know how to take legal action against them?
I used Metro and decided to change because they offered me a better signal and for my Samsung Galaxy Note Ultra they lowered me 1000 for the z fold 5. The Internet signal is terrible. I never have 5G, only 4G. They blamed Samsung. Then they want to make you believe that they gave you 1000 dollars. No, what I did was a barter. I do not receive the service I pay for and they do not solve me. I regret leaving Metro for Verizon.
First of all:
Bad customer service
No live agents and aiF you get a chance to talk to someone they charge you $10.00
Wifi and phone service are mediocre at BEST and this is in major US cities!
T-mobile bought all of verizon cell towers so thei service for Verizon is terrible now!
I am locked into a payment plan and they send me offers tgat are ONLY valid online but i cannot get online because the services are horrible!
Second:
I'm well aware of all the tactics this company deploys to exploit their customers...until today when I learned a new technique they use...by shutting off your phone while having a conversation. Truly fascinating they spend more time in the board room discussing draconian methods to profit from, than just being a trustworthy, honest company. What a deplorable company...
So I had been on Verizon for several years, auto pay since I got the phones for my folks. About two years later, I found out I never got/was not receiving the phone credit they promised me. So I went to the office. They said oh, you need four phones on us, and you only have two to qualify for the discount plan. I turn and said are you sure. Yeah yeah, me ok. A month later my billed doubled, I was ok, since this is the first time I started watching my bill and it was the first bill Normal for an new plan, but second month no change. Then when my bill posted on the third mo th called and they said oh you need five lines and you need to pay off your phones first. I turned and said the two other phones you gave me are still sealed. They said we are sorry, it has been more than 30 days and more than 60 you cannot return them. I was like what?, so here I am. I cancelled two of the lines already and took my service elsewhere, unfortunately it will take another month or so to cancel the other two lines, since I don't have 4k to throw away in one month. STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON, STAY AWAY! For your own reasons..
The worst company, bad customer service bad company bad everything they charge me stuff I never agreed to they give me hard time even I change the company they still send me bills for stuff to pay. Horrible company
Verizon wireless is the worst phone company in America. They don't care about their customers I've called 1 million times to try to get new phones or better service and they refuse me every time I don't recommend them to anyone and if I can give them them zero stars I would.
I upgraded to a new phone and paid dearly for next day delivery. Well the next day came along and no phone. There answer is the delivery sevice fault. I asked to be reembersed for the delivery fee and they stated at would be up to 30 days. They took the money in 30 seconds but cant reemberse for 30 days.
Answer: Go to My Verizon, click the 3 bars at lower right. In drop down menus hit contact us then schedule a call. They will call you about the time you scheduled a call-back.
