Vayama customer service nightmare
March 22, 2020

I tried to cancel my flight by calling them. Each of the 6 calls I made lasted for 1 hour of hold time. Then I was dropped. I also contacted them via email 6 times. 3 times I was offered a quote and never received a quote. I will be contacting my congressional delegation. This company should not be operating in the USA. I also contacted the Airhelp service they charged me $39 for. They refused to help me told me to contact Vayama.
I still must get my tickets canceled and a full refund. Sometimes saving a buck can cause a nightmare customer service experience. I am just one negative review out of nearly 400.
Looking forward to hearing from a live person from Vayama.
Mark

Covid-19 no e-mail no phone line!
March 21, 2020

If it wasn't for the kindness of our fellas ozzies from qantas we would be able to have moved our flights forward from the 28 to anytime earlier due to the Covid-19. Vayama has NOT returned any of our emails despite from emailing them daily for 5 days! Also their phone lines are locked down. May the universe bless Qantas!

Worst Company Ever!
March 18, 2020

After verbally confirming my wife's departure twice on the telephone, they denied it ever happened and try to sell me a business class ticket for over $10,000. I lost over 4K with them and there mistakes, they never take any responsibility, not only did my wife get stranded and we way over paid, but we Are deeply hurt by this careless company. After calling them multiple times to resolve the issue, all they do is deny deny and make it look like we were in the wrong.

Negative Stars for Them... Shady
March 18, 2020

During the COVID-19 outbreak, Vayama decided that instead of cancelling travel to quarantined countries and issuing refunds, they would stick with their standard refund policy, which means you may or may not receive a full refund. And during the time when their customers need extra assistance due to their inability to be proactive, they have decided to not answer their Customer Service phones. WORST online agency. Many better options to choose. STAY AWAY FROM VAYAMA!

NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
March 17, 2020

I requested a change by email on Monday, March 2 to a flight on March 6 to go back from BKK early. Said they would respond in 48 hours but I received nothing. I called twice but got someone in India I couldn't understand and calls dropped off line. I finally submitted an email request to cancel three times and got a reply but they never bothered to cancel at all. Finally, just bought another ticket home. I will be waiting to see if I get refund minus their stated cancellation charges. I doubt if I will ever hear from them. I got an email from the airline that I was a no-show. First and last time I use Vayama.

Absolute Scam
March 16, 2020

Go on Better Business Bureau to see real reviews by authenticated people. This website is a scam. They don't have a functioning customer support, they just send you in a circle to email and call back. They don't allow changes to tickets or cancellations, when I tried they wouldn't allow it and charged me regardless for not even giving me my tickets.

Just Got Hung Up On
March 15, 2020

Just got hung up on by customer service. After waiting half an hour on the phone to reschedule due to a coronavirus cancellation. Without being helped.

Don't use a company that treats you like luggage.

Beware of Vayama!
March 11, 2020

My flight was cancelled in Feb 2020. When I called Vayama in Feb for the refund, they said it would take a month to process. Follow-up with them in March, they said it would now take 4 months. I have two other flights booked directly from the airline got cancelled for the similar reasons. I got the refunds in 2 weeks with no problem. I would not recommend Vayama to anyone.

Vayama is disgraceful
March 10, 2020

Vayama is actually a bad travel agency. Never again will I book with them. I had currently booked a flight from Rome to Mauritius but due to the coronavirus, I tried getting them to reroute my flight from Dublin to mauritius but they won't allow it. I called them so many times and they had disconnected my lines too many times. I wrote them so many emails and I still haven't gotten a response. They disconnected their line because they knew everyone would be calling them to refund or cancel their booking. Its actually disgraceful, we are supposed to be going in 2 weeks times and i still can't get through to them. They took a large sum of money but they can't even advised us on what are to do. The staffs are rude, they keep telling us we need to follow their T&Cs, but thats stupid especially with the virus going around. How can we travel if we are going to to be put in quarantine when landing. Vayama is such an unreliable agency because all they do is take your money without any conscience. Actually a horrible agency and I wouldn't trust them at all.

Don't USE THIS COMPANY! WARNING
March 7, 2020

This company has employees that don't know what they are doing. Due to all the Coronaviris hype, we asked what we could do about our flights with China Eastern that was flying through Shanghai. They told us we could cancel the flight and get a full refund. Once we confirmed that's what we would like to do, we got an email saying our refund was being processed and we would hear back in five days. A week later we get an email saying our flight is actually NOT REFUNDABLE due to the airlines "changing" their policies. We then called the airlines and they said Vayama "voided" our tickets instead of canceling them. Which meant that if they would have been canceled not voided the airlines would have refunded us. We have tried daily calling Vayama to get answers. Still have not heard from them on this matter and our calls get dropped after being on hold for an hour. This has been going on for over a month now and I am still waiting to get answers. This company has NO integrity and accountability for their mess up. You will just find yourself frustrated and stressed by doing business with them.

Dishonest travel agency
March 3, 2020

I booked my flight from Washington DC to Taiwan through Vayama website. Due to the Covid-19 travel policy of the Taiwanese government, Cathay Pacific already announced that it waives all cancellation fees of flights from/to Taiwan between February 8,2020, and April 30,2020. But Vayama emailed me that Cathay Pacific will charge me a cancellation fee of $80 of my flight. After calling Cathay Pacific tonight, I realized that there is no cancellation fee of my flight charged by Cathay. Vayama is dishonest.
And, I applied for a cancellation and refund of my flight ticket through Vayama website on Feb 7, but Vayama hasn't canceled my flight or refund me any money till now.

Vayama took $1k from us
March 2, 2020

We book the flight tickets through Vayama website for the trip to China on 01/22/2019, and the flight was canceled due to the lockdown of Coronavirus outbreak in Chin, Vayama didn't send us any notice nor rearrange a different flight for us. We had been trying to contact them for getting our money back ever-since on 01/24/2019, but our phone never be answered, and we still haven't get a penny back yet.
This is the worst online flight ticket purchasing that ever happened to us. We lost 1k for nothing.

Poor Support Through Covid-19 Outbreak
February 28, 2020

Poor Support Through Covid-19 Outbreak
I always take things with a grain of salt and try to look into the positives of everything but I cannot find a single one with Vayama, unfortunately.

It's a trying time with the uncertainty of Covid-19, and I get that. Being on hold for an hour was the least bit of my frustration. What really had me frustrated was that I had originally booked two tickets from Kayak directly from Air Canada from Portland, OR to Ho Chi Minh City, by way of Air Canada through Vancouver B. C. and Seoul, South Korea as stopovers.

I then booked an additional ticket for my sister on the same flights through Kayak but this time, it was through the intermediary Vayama.

Air Canada currently has a goodwill policy that'll allow customers who are transmitting through South Korea to rebook free of charge. I didn't mind waiting on the phone for Air Canada's customer service for 2 hours, but at least they were able address my concerns and rebook me on a flight to Ho Chi Minh City from Portland, OR by way of Tokyo, Japan free of charge in accordance with their goodwill policy.

When I had contacted Vayama's customer service to change my sisters flight to the same one I just rebooked with Air Canada to ensure my sister wouldn't have to travel alone. The Vayama customer service representative had stated that because there is no flight serviced by Air Canada from Tokyo to Ho Chi Minh City, we cannot rebook your flight. I get it, you're a travel agency which may limit what access you have in rebooking flights from different airlines, so I asked if the Vayama customer service representative would be able to find an Air Canada flight from Tokyo to Ho Chi Minh around the travel dates I laid out. The customer service representative said no there are not.

So I reconfirmed that the two options Vayama would best support their customers with is to cancel a non-refundable ticket, wait to see if the flight gets cancelled in order to receive a refund or travel to South Korea, in which the United States CDC and State Department has a level 3 warning for (avoid all non-essential travel), she said yes and that has left me hopeless in Vayama's ability to support their customers in a trying time such as the Covid-19 outbreak.

I express high disappointment with Vayama, and believe this may be my last time utilizing their service. It just bewilders me that in accordance to their goodwill policy that Air Canada is able to re-accommodate, while Vayama cannot honor such policy laid out by the airline through unforeseen circumstances.

I hope whoever may be reading this reconsiders the next time they book through Vayama to hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

300.00 for infant baby cancellation fee
February 27, 2020

This is really ridiculous because vayama asked me to pay 300.00 for infant baby cancel ticket. However I did not buy a ticket for baby because infant baby is Free seat plus just tax. If mother pays the cancellation fee the infant baby is automatically canceled. Therefore this 300.00 asking is literally robbing.

Customer Service
February 19, 2020

I bought a flight that I could not use them. I rang to the Vayama Customer Service and they told me that I will get back my money (also I have an email where say that my ticket will be fully refundable). So, I bought a new flight for another day cheaper in another company (because I gonna get back my money). After 6 times talking by phone whit someone from the customer service (it was more that 3 hours on the phone, because each time that I rang I must wait 20 minutes or more to could talk with someone), they sent me an email that "unfortunately I will not get back my money"... to easy for their job, just said that I will lose 600 euros. And that is it..

Just take your business somewhere else, thank me later
February 12, 2020

Vayama is one of the worst travel agencies (if they even deserve to be called one), their customer service it's just useless, they cannot process a cancelation and when they attempt to, it's been many days after and they charge you with ridiculous fees. They don't even try to help and their "emergency" line is always unattended

This is the worst company ever, never buy anything thru them
February 8, 2020

I bought my ticket flying from Seattle to Chiangmai, I literally can't go because Taiwan forbid anyone who holds a Chinese passport from transferring in Taipei, EVA air also promised full refund, however this company didn't want to help, want to take 300 dollars off my ticket and told me that there is no supervisor available to talk too, also she hung up on me.

Don't recommend
February 6, 2020

Don't recommend booking any tickets through Vayama. We contacted the flight company and they sent a code to Vayama and guaranteed for full refunds due to coronavirus. I sent the confirmations and all the documents to *******@vayama.com. The reactions from Vayama is either hung up my phones, or kept saying they cannot refund because they don't see any documents from flight company.

I called them for a week. Each call takes 50 mins+ to get an answer. Their customer servers with very bad attitudes. There was one funny agent said: "No, you don't appreciate my help. You want me to send you an email. You don't trust me."
Vayama and their agents are just untrustworthy and nothing more.
