This was the worst site you could possibly deal with. I sent them my books I was quoted 207 and change. 3 weeks later I got a check for 22$. SO i emailed them and with in 2 days they said another check for 183 was being cut. A month later still no check So today I got a check for 73$ I called them directly and after trying to give me another run around I gave them a dead line to have my book back to me or another check. Or i would report them as a scam. Then they were so happy to help me I will update to let you all know what happens. BUT i must STRONGLY SUGGEST NEVER TO USE THIS SITE. Too Slow. Whats The Point of Using A Buyback Service If Its So Slow? The Biggest Problem Is That They Guarantee Fast Payment But Do Not Actually Pay You In An Orderly & Timely Fashion. Complete Contradiction. Yes You Might Get A Higher Price Then Elsewhere; Maybe 2-3 Dollars More But That Means Nothing If The Payment Takes So Long To Arrive. Even If You Choose Paypal, Valore-Books Takes So Long To Pay You, It Feels Like You Are Receiving A Check In The Mail. I Wouldn't Recommend ValoreBooks Buyback To People Who Enjoy Convenience.

DO NOT USE Valore Books! But if you did, file a Better Business Bureau complaint right away! After 4 months of trying to get Valore Books to send my check for the books I sent them in December, I finally just received my money and I think the only reason they responded was due to the BBB Complaint I filed in February. They kept saying the check was lost or undeliverable so finally had them send it with a tracking number and at last, I have my money - absolutely terrible customer service!

WORST BUY BACK EVER! If I could give them zero stars I would. They practically stole the book I sent them for buy back. They book was in good condition, so no reason why they shouldn't have bought it. They rejected the book without giving me a reason or explanation as to why they wouldn't buy it. They did not respond to the first e-mail I sent them, so I sent them another. When they replied they told me that they would contact the buyer who had rejected the book and send it back to me within a month. It has been well over a month now and I have not heard from them since. I am now without the money the book was worth, and without the book. AVOID them if you don't want your books stolen. Terrible communication, and a horrible overall experience.

I noticed the good reviews are very detailed and long, seem "built" to me. I usually trade in my books to Amazon; however, I was tempted to send in my book for a higher quote here. I understand the policies; however, they are very vague in their Q&A. They did not define the book condition requirement, rejection only refers to different ISBN/material.
My book is consider good condition with high amount of highlighting and bent corners. It was "REJECTED", $0. They should at least give me a partial of the quoted amount! I contacted them to return the book with a prepaid shipping label from me. THEY REFUSED!

This site is absolute garbage. I have literally been waiting nearly a month (ordered it Feb 17, now March 15) for a textbook to arrive. They have no phone number, and no method of contact other than a message through their own server, from which you receive automated messages. I swear their textbooks are sent from Africa via Swallow Mail. I stupidly gave them another chance after they took a over a month with one of my books before. My suggestion is cough up the extra money for Chegg or Amazon, I can't pay via credit card for the time I have lost and how I've fallen behind in class without the book.

I sold back books to Valore in mid November 2013. They received the books according to their website as well as the shipping website on November 25th, 2013. It is currently February 17,2014 (almost 3 months later) and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED PAYMENT ON ONE OF THE BOOKS. Though their guarantee states it will be roughly 17 business days total, do not believe it. I have emailed their customer service over 8 times, 4 of which asked them to call me, and they never did an nothing got handled or paid. I called and talked to somebody for an hour, and they said somebody would call me back, and they never did. If you do not mind taking the risk of this company considering your sellback as a donation, go with them. If you want to get paid for your property you're selling, they I wouldn't suggest it. They stole my book and I will never get paid for it nor get a hold of anybody. It is a loss cause, but I can at least share my experience and hopefully prevent this from occurring to you.

I'm so regret to buy first book and last book too, because I made the order with certain ISBN# but they brought to me a similar book but it's not the same actual book I wanted. And the quality of the book is soo cheap which they have very thin paper and not colored plus the cut from the edges is so funny seem as someone cut it manual. The price I paid for the book around 25$ which is cheaper than all websites I searched, but after I received the book, I knew why they have cheaper prices. I'm not really mad for the money I paid its only 25$ but I mad because I waited two weeks and I got not a wrong book, but I got tricky book, because if it's wrong I could say it's a personal mistake, but the way they sell the book it's a fraud way. I very pretty sure the good reviews were written on the website about VALOREBOOKS were written by related people to the VALOREBOOKS. My advice is, pay little more from familiar company and save money and time because I will never get your need from this company if it considered a company.

I recently sold some books to this site, disclosing at the time of the sale that they were marked in; however, they were in very good condition.
Knowing that condition, they had me send them and then informed me that they are not giving me money for them and that ARE NOT GIVING THEM BACK.
I can easily make money off of these textbooks, and already had a few offers.

I also received a note regarding another order that "still hasn't shipped," even though I shipped all books on the same date. What kind of business is this? It sounds a lot like they take your books then rip you off.

As others have said avoid this place. I was linked to them from my school's bookstore website so i thought they were legit. I ordered four books. First two didn't show up and seller said I refused them after I waited two weeks to contact them. I never refused the books, but I was refunded. The most expensive book I purchased has not arrived and I'm told I have to wait 30 days to file for a refund on that one. Last book was not correct book and I guess I'll find out how they handle this. So four book and four failures thus far. Not the stress you want in the beginning of a semester.

SUCH A SCAM! I rented a textbook through Valore. I find out I don't need the book a few days after it is delivered to my house. I have been trying now for about 2 weeks just to get someone to give me the return address. I have been emailing them because that is the only way to contact anyone and the lady just keeps giving me the run around. (and might I add it takes around a day and a half just to get a response) I am completely fed up with this company and will not be using them ever again!

I placed my order on December 7th. Of course, the money for my book was withdrawn from my account immediately. No problems there! It is now January 13th, and I still have not received the book! I emailed the seller 5 times with no response. Oh, and by the way, their phone number is *******705. Not that calling them will get you anywhere, but maybe if enough of us bug them, we can shut this horrible place down for good. I'm not going to quit until I either get my book or my money back, but I'll tell you one thing, I will NEVER get textbooks from them again. I'd rather spend twice the money on Amazon, and know that I'm dealing with a reputable company!

Worst business ever. This site needs to be condemned. There is no structure or means of customer service we have been overcharged for not returning a book when I have all the paperwork and receipts from fed ex proving otherwise. As a college student I would never recommend because there is already plenty to worry about being overcharged should not be one of them. I have asked multiple times to speak with a manager or associate and they never call back I called and the girl couldn't help the government needs to shut this down I'm to the point of wanting to sue this company

NEVER USE VALOREBOOKS.COM FOR ANYTHING THEY ARE A SCAM! They are terrible! I sold my A&P book back to them, and the only reason I went with this company was because the sell back price was double what everyone else was. The old saying "Sounds to good to be true" is definitely true with this company. I sold back my book in great condition, and was told it was rejected, and will not send my book back or payment. They "recycled" it. More like they received a free book, and sold it to someone else. What a scam
