You can buy popular DVDs from third party sellers... really inexpensively compared to Amazon.com. It's easy to use the site. They have good customer service and tech support.

Buy Books Somewhere Else

I hate to say it but this company cannot live up to its promise. The online system was unresponsive and slow. After three attempts the system said, "order accepted". I got an email indicating the order is being processed. The about 10 days later my order was cancelled. Suggest saving yourself time and frustration. Look elsewhere for your books.

Words cannot explain my experience. The price is cheap, but save yourself the stress. If you need a book, you are better off ordering from Amazon or Chegg. I ordered my book on the first day of classes and I still have not received it. I was given an invalid tracking number and customer service was useless in helping solve the issue. They sent me to a form online to fill out and I had to wait for the seller to respond. When I asked for a customer service phone number, she said they did not have it. Why wouldn't you have the number of a person you are doing business with? I eventually received a working tracking number from the seller and when I tracked my book all it says is "in transit." They don't provide a location or delivery date for the package.

Valore books

Give a lot of great prices for books. Really poor service though and not a lot of transparency. Paid 6.95$ expedited shipping and hasn't come with in the window plus my other order was cancelled because the seller claims it was out of stock. I then had to wait additional time to get the book that I needed to reorder (I did so on amazon). They obviously need to work out the kinks in their system.

Awful Customer Service

I ordered a book for school via PayPal and when it didn't come in the 2-5 business day window, I contacted Valore. The woman I spoke to said she didn't handle that kind of issue, and would need to submit and email for the team that does handle it to contact me within 48 hours. I asked her for a phone number and she said they didn't have one... What kind of business doesn't have a telephone number? 48 hours went by, no one contacted me. About 4 days later, I received an email stating "We cannot find your order, please contact eBay". I didn't order it through eBay, just PayPal. Two days later the "closed the ticket" and I'm stuck paying $24 for a book that no one can find! I'm beyond furious and would like to warn others about this company. I wish I had seen all of these reviews PRIOR to wasting my money on this company.

Horrible Company

I paid expedited fees and they promised to have my book here between 2 to 5 business days. It's been 12 days still no books and nobody is responding to my communications. I cannot get a hold of a customer service rep.

Terrible Business

Worst company I have done business with. I ordered a book last year that had a picture of the book I thought I was purchasing. Once I received there was a big international sticker on the top saying not intended for use in the U.S. I AM IN THE U.S. and I dont have the book I purchased and I am taking the loss of the book I can't use. I email them and they do nothing. I try this again and the same thing happened another international book I can't use. All together I am out over $100 dollars and "there is nothing that they can't do. If you want to throw money away then do business with ValoreBooks.com

ValoreBooks.com advertised that they "ship fast" and we'd receive an email once our order shipped. The delivery date promised was a two week window. After waiting and waiting I contacted them for shipping details, which they wouldn't provide me. Instead they told me the shipment had been lost but had been shipped the day after I ordered. They did ask what I wanted to do about it and I asked to ship another book, which they did, that finally arrived more than 4 weeks after my order.

When the replacement arrived, I noticed that they ordered it from a 3rd party on Amazon and the book was obviously used where I had purchased a brand new book. Many emails and long waits for responses from Valore ensued. I asked simply for a reimbursement for the difference between the new book I paid for and the used they sent... which was $95 (it was a very expensive textbook). Instead they only would offer a $20 refund for my trouble and gave me a bunch of excuses as to why they couldn't fathom the right thing was just to refund me the difference. The customer service people were untruthful as well.

Never, never do business with these shysters!

DO NOT BUY/RENT BOOKS FROM VALORE EVER! I ordered 4 textbooks for my college classes, placing my order in over a month before classes began. My first sign of trouble was the fact that I never received a confirmation email, even though the confirmation page told me that I would. Deciding to give Valore the benefit of the doubt, I waited for 3 days before contacting their customer support on their website. It took them 5 days to respond to my complaint and the response that I finally did receive was poorly written and it told me that there had been a delay because of my financial institution and that the books would ship in 3-5 days. A week later, having still never received a confirmation of my order, nor my books, I decided to call Valore. While the customer support agent that I talked to was certainly very nice, they were completely unhelpful; they told me that they did not have access to Valore's database, only the website that is available to the public, and that he could do nothing more than contact the sellers to figure out what was going on, and that he would email me withing 48 hours. 2 days later I received a email from the Valore customer support telling me that they had looked into my problem and that there was no order ever placed.

I start classes tomorrow, not a book in my possession. I ordered all of my books from amazon now and they are scheduled to arrive in 2 days. I had to pay $200 more at amazon than Valore had priced me at, but at least I know that I will actually receive my textbooks.

All in all, Valore is a highly unreliable textbook seller and I would not recommend them, unless you enjoy being let down, in which case, Valore is the site for you.

Looking at all these negative reviews, I'm shocked. Maybe I'm just very lucky...

I've ordered from Valorebooks 3-4 times. Took a little research to find the book I wanted, but I always got what I expected, and saved hundreds of dollars overall by buying the international paperback editions.

I even did my first textbook rental last year... no complaints.

This is the worst company ever! They are so unprofessional and they send out fake shipping labels, fake checks, everything is fake. One of the customer service reps got mad because I used my own shipping and when it was delivered she said they never received anything! Oh and once they finally "found" it they said my check will arrive in 21 days! Turned into 90 days! They kept saying oh we sent a check, we will reissue the check (2 times), the third time got the check and when I tried to cash it, they STOPPED PAYMENT on the check! Like are you kidding me. They dont have any money they use the money ppl have, that buy from their bogus website, (Using books they've "lost" to sell from other people) They really steal from college students. I reported this company to the better business bureau

I have dealt with Valore books many times over the past four years and until 2014 the company has horrible customer service and processing time. My last shipment I sent in two books, they lost them and it took 4 MONTHS of calling and emailing to get my money. It was so long that it took another 10 business days to get the paper check (they said they couldn't process it using my PayPal since it had taken so long)

My last experience I should have received payment via PayPal by 06/22/2015 at the latest. I began calling every day to see the status. I was told at least another week because they are back logged. Did you ever notice they never state that due to high demand times the wait for payment could take longer. Here is the trick to get your money quicker... call 888-VALORE1 and keep your order number. Then get the representatives ID, request they forward your concern, and finally email the issue to the company each day until you get your money. I had to do this for the past four days and finally my order is being processed for payment. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. I will use half.com from now on and ship myself or amazon. This company has gone down hill and the service is horrible. Do not use them if you think you will get paid in a timely manner. They have had my books for a month now.

I sold to them 4 books. They offered me $44. I sent the books and then they only paid me $36... They changed the prices of one book without tell me or notify me. Awful company!

Awful! Do not use!

I sent a like new book for buy back to ValoreBooks.com. The book included a CD. When my payment came, it was substantially less then the price quoted with no explanation. When I contacted them, they stated that the book did not include the CD and that someone would contact me back. After a week and no contact, I called again and was told they were still "looking into it" and would contact me again. After this, I called a week later escalated the problem (this has now been over three weeks since they initially paid me with no return communication). They stated that they suddenly found the CD and would mail a check for the remainder of the amount owed to me.
The check never came so I contacted them several more times, three to be exact, and the check was reissued. It's now been over 2 months since they received the book and the second check still has not arrived. It's been two weeks since it was reissued. Interesting how two checks never arrive and no communication from them.
Since then, I have sold several more books through Chegg and received prompt payment in the mail. I find it interesting that their checks make it to my mailbox but ValoreBooks checks seem to be issued but never received.

I sold a textbook to this company which operates online as Valorebooks.com and also as College Marketplace, and I was unable to cash the check they issued me. That sends up a red flag right away. So I called them to ask for my payment to be sent through paypal instead since the check was useless. The people who answer calls are very nice, but they are home based so they actually do not have any supervisors they can transfer a customer to, so all they can do is take your info and pass it along. After 2 weeks of calling and leaving messages with customer service, someone named Edmond finally called me back on Feb 3rd. He said he would attempt the paypal payment and call me within 2 days to let me know. I never heard from him. I called him 3 times after that and left him voicemails to which he never replied. Several more calls to customer service and leaving my information for a supervisor to call me back resulted in nothing. I finally filed a complaint with the BBB on Fed 26th and they finally issued me a paypal payment today, March 3rd. I will never use this company again. The only reason they finally paid me was because I contacted the BBB! They have total disregard for their customers.

They goofed by not processing my order correctly first. Then, they wouldn't answer my emails until about the 3rd one. Its almost a month later and still nothing. Horrible communication, horrible customer service, horrible experience. Go with eaglesaver.com WAY better
