Bring me my mail!

I just moved to the area where I live,and it's within a state park,on private property. I get mail maybe once a week,if I'm lucky. Some mail (important) I NEVER get. I have been to the post office,to no avail. I guess they are going to force me to get a P.O. Box. So I can receive my mail. How very! Not a happy camper here.

The mail gets delivered late. Sometimes it can be as late as 7:00pm! I remember in some areas the mail can come in the morning.

Mail Delivery Issues

Hi! My name is Kimberly Smith and I would like to give an applause to such an amazing, professional as well as courteous employee by the name of Ms.Johnson in Kissimmee, FL for calling me back to assist me with my mail delivery issue that I was dealing with due to the fact that I have not received any mail in my name for approximately 3-weeks now and I'm very disappointed about that situation but I know my issue will get resolved and other than that I never had any issues before and I appreciate you all so much.

Incompetence is par for the course for the USPS. Someone please explain to me how a package to be delivered to an address in Dallas, TX on April 19 arrives in the Coppell, TX distribution center on April 18 in the early AM and is then shipped to the Birmingham, AL distribution center later that same day? The delivery date on the USPS website changes from April 19 to 20 to it'll arrive at some date in the future...if you're lucky. No sense of urgency, no recourse for customers relying on on-time delivery, just embrace the suck and excessive delays due to sheer incompetence, and be grateful if and when your package arrives. LOATHSOME, DETESTABLE, INCOMPETENCE!

The mail service is so poor. We don't have a mailman every day, they are so unhappy and many took early retirement! I've had missing mail and can't really count on usps. So sad trump and Dejoy destroyed an icon of service that has lasted centuries!

Missing packages

I'm frustrated, really the service is terrible. No solution, they lost very important immigration documents and the only thing they sent was an apology letter, it seems to me a low and very bad service and I paid extra money I for insurance and priority server I lost $650 they don't refund me nothing

Multiple Items Broken

I have had multiple items damaged shipping through the post office. Even with insurance they come up with excuses to not pay for items. Save your money and insurance money and send it through UPS.

Damaged Item

I shipped a gift from VA to LA. The item was damaged by USPS. I submitted a claim that was denied. The recepient in LA took the damaged item to the local post office for inspection of damages. The manager at the LA post office did not record the inspection. The claim was denied a second time. I received the first notification of the claim denial via mail after I contacted USPS for an update. There is no system in place to resolve claims after the second appeal. I feel USPS has no intention to be held responsible for items damaged by them when shipped. I feel USPS has outlived its usefulness as private shipping and mailing companies are responsive, customer oriented and take care of their mistakes. Will not do business with USPS again.I dont use stamps!

Website is garbage

Took awhile to make a profile, after that the confusing "click to ship" just refuses to work and Locks up saying to refresh and try again later. I've logged on to the website and tried to pay for my label on an iPhone, iPad, and computer. Can't do it. Help lines are crap and more frustrating.

It's no wonder the costs have skyrocketed for stamps and shipping. I live between Howell and Lansing yet my packages go from Detroit to Lansing to Howell before they come to me. This is wasted time and money when it should be able to bypass 2 of these locations.

I was sending a Personal and Confidential letter to a Doctor 12 miles from the sending Post Office. On a Friday, I bought Certified Mail and Return Receipt Requested and it left the Post Office that afternoon – With estimated delivery the following Monday.
I started tracking the envelope that Monday and again daily for the next 12 days – Response from the USPS app was "currently in a Distribution Center" all that time. I put in a Customer Service Request and opened up a Case, spoke with Customer Service, and visited the Post Office where it was mailed. Got the same status that I got from the tracking app – Your delivery will be late and the envelope is in a distribution center. When speaking with an employee, also got "we are very sorry" many, many times.
Finally on the 13th day, I made a copy of the letter and drove it the 12 miles and hand-delivered it to the Doctor's office. I then went and got my money refunded for the service I did not get.
Lesson Learned: I will not trust an important document to the USPS Certified Mail service! I have more trust and confidence in Fed Ex or UPS.

I just paid $21.00 to mail a priority mail package from Denver, CO to Austin, TX on Monday. USPS tracking now says that it's been in a regional facility in Ohio for almost 2 days and now won't arrive until Friday. WTF? What kind of PRIORITY MAIL takes 5 days and gets routed all over the country? Ever since Dejoy took over the postal service, mail delivery sucks! I want my old reliable mail service back. Can't believe I spent $21 on priority service, when ground delivery could have made it there in the same amount of time. Some priority!

Packages open

I am observing that usps is bringing me open and damaged packages on several occasions. I am always in contact with the sellers and they tell me that they sent the package well. The carriers do an arduous job of bringing the packages but they are also responsible for ensuring that they arrive unopened and in good condition. I am writing to the Usps company to fix this problem.

Damaged packages
March 20, 2023

My local mail guy uses his own vehicle which is filled full of mail and packages. From the front to the back ceiling to the floor. Crammed, bended, folded, beaten to fit. I know this because I have watched him load them into his vehicle. I thought about having a post offfice box instead, to help my mail from being destroyed. I found out today that they don't allow packages at my post office via a postal box. I wish every place would allow you.to.choose your shipper because I would choose someone else every time.

Tried to mail a container that measured over the 108" USPS says is the max. Even though this being a military package and going to an FPO not having to go through a foreign nations customs dept. It said on a USPS site the max for that is 131". Made contact with Shirley in USPS customer support and I gave her all the numbers and address and weight and she input them into the system and said it could be mailed USPS retail ground. She even gave me a price and everything. Go to my local post office and they deny it because it's over 108" I still do not know who is right or wrong here but who ever reads this just save yourself a lot of time and stay below the 108". I just wish USPS could get their act together on what they are telling consumers and stop wasting peoples time and energy. They said mail it Fed ex or UPS. I would have already if they went to this FPO but they don't.
