Awful

I've been waiting for my package to be delivered from NY to LA for 2 MONTHS! And my package is completely damaged. You cannot talk with associates, no one can help you. This is just the worst service on Earth

Horribly bad

I received my checks after 15 days since it is sent.The second check I didn't recived after 15 days since it is sent while I am writing this comment. I declared to my organization not to send my checks through USPS. It is old fashioned, slow and impolite.

Recently had two packages at the Akron, Ohio post office. Both packages were reported as departed and on the way to my home post office. One arrived but the other was taken back to Akron. Ridiculous! The package that arrived at Akron last made it to my house first. The package the was taken back to Akron was redated for a later deliver 4 times. Again, ridiculous! If I purchase something and am told a date it's supposed to be delivered that's exactly when I expect to receive it. If I could rate the usps in the negative I would. They are worthless!

Using the West Lafayette, IN post office this past time was a nightmare. I overnighted a package, and specified that it not be delivered on Saturday(In writing, directly on the package using their form). Of course, they tried to deliver it on Saturday anyway, and marked it for redelivery on Monday. They then didn't deliver it in Monday, or Tuesday. Then when I called customer service they changed it to be picked up at the post office, which was not at all what I asked for and not even possible for the person receiving the package. Customer service told me to ask the people at the local post office for a refund. I asked for a refund and the manager at the WL office refused because "the clock stopped when they tried to deliver it on Saturday, so they technically made it in 24 hours" (even though they didn't go back Monday or Tuesday). He then got upset, basically yelling, saying "I'm just trying to do my job" when I tried inquiring how to get a refund… which was confusing because I had no idea why HE was mad. I wasn't even mad, and I wasted two days on the phone to send a supposed "one day delivery package." I ended up having to send the package again, losing out on $30. Boo to you west's Lafayette Post Office.

I worried about the post office closing because my little post office in New Mexico does a great job. But after dealing with the lazy, stupid slackers who run Yucca Valley I say WE DONT NEED THE POST OFFICE. UPS and FED EX actually BELIEVE in delivering your packages. Yucca Valley says WE DONT HAVE TO. When they don't deliver your packages and don't make a second attempt or final attempt.they just return it because their motto as far as more than ONE delivery attempt is WE DON'T HAVE TO. Lazy and stupid is a dangerous combo and probably why they keep the name of their postmaster a SECRET. I do a lot of business with Amazon and the biggest complaints they get are about the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE. Lots of complaints about packages being "lost", postal workers stealing packages, and just the general incompetence that drips from the top down.The Yucca Valley post office could evaporate tomorrow and it would be an improvement ton the landscape.

I order packages from USPS approximately 3 times per week, I use 3 day priority shipping, I receive my package in 3 days maybe 1 out of 5 times. Why is this acceptable? I can't get a refund for the high prices they charge. And now, on 3 different occasions in one year, they completely lost my package. I filled out the forms necessary and the packages were never found. They said they were probably auctioned off via the lost and found MRC dead letter agency of the USPS. WTF? How is this legal? And what can one single person do about it? I should at the very least get back the money I pay for priority shipping, but am always turned down. And getting the 100.00 insurance check that is included with packages is a joke also. So what am I to do? Complain I guess as there is literally nothing else that I can do except take it up the you know what from USPS. It's literally there only job, deliver mail, and they can't even get that right!

Qr code missing

They don't deserve not even a star. Delivered my package but did gave me a Qr code to open the box. Struggling for 3 hours to get an agent and find out, but nobody is answering.

I commissioned a friend in the US to ship two packages to my country (italy) and everything went well at first. He paid about 200 dollars, so not a little. After a few days, both parcels came back to him. Cause: The description of the content is not sufficient. What?! If the description was too short, WHY did the operator send it anyway? The courier told my friend that he wouldn't have to pay a second time to ship agains the to packages. He went back to the post office and they told him that it was HIS FAULT and that to send the parcels back he had to pay AGAIN! The mistake was made by the USPS operator in Austin, Texas who handled the shipment! The operator did not know how to do her job immediately informing my friend that the description of the contents was too short, HOW COULD HE KNOW THAT?! Your job is to inform customers and CHECK that all shipments are in order! Now do I have to pay $200 again?! The money my friend paid was to get the parcel here to Italy, but having been sent back immediately, WHAT DID THEY USE FOR? You are shameful and incompetent! Our Italian post office is incompetent, but apparently USPS is even worse!

Late Delivery

I have a package that was supposed to be delivered today. The tracking says it's been sitting in our local Post Office since yesterday morning and it wasn't delivered today. So why does a package laying in the post office since yesterday not delivered today? We live in Tucson, AZ for the winters and the postal service is just a bad there as it is here in North Dakota.

I have an issue with the current delivery person from my local post office and the postmaster seems to not care at all about it. The driver does not deliver anything he has to step out of his truck for and does not leave delivery notices when he does not get out of his truck. He also does not stop when the pick up flag is out. I had the same issue a while back with the delivery of my VA prescriptions and was forced to go to the post office for my medications!

Mail boxes

I live in a community we had to purchased our mail boxes now, in the past the post office was responsible for that, my complaint is that these boxes cost money and the postman treats them like crap, today I caught one kicking the door, we had to fixed one door because they ripped it off the hinches, can someone talk to these people and be more careful this is our money not them.

I thought the USPS couldn't get worse, I was wrong. Living at a new address for 7 weeks, we have had 4 packages attempted to be delivered by the USPS, 1 made it. Thats a 75% failure rate! In the same time frame, we have had over 30 packages delivered by Amazon, FedEx and UPS, all with a 100% success rate. How do you continue to stay in business? Does the Postmaster or anyone in the organization pay attention to the review trends? Across the board the reviews of the USPS are dismal and it's as though you just don't care. Last year I reviewed the USPS on another site that showed an overall dissatisfaction with the USPS of 94%, this site shows a satisfaction rate of 1.57 out of 5. The only reason it's that high is because 1 star is the bare minimum. Do yourself a favor and give Jeff Bezos a call, ask him how he does it. Better yet, beg him to purchase your organization. I'm so thankful I have other options when shipping items.

They do not care at all about their customers. Bought their packaging to mail 3 expensive books. Girl behind counter took the package away before I had a chance to insure it. They mangled the package - one of three books actually arrived at its destination only after I filed a lost claim - it was re-wrapped in cellophane and destroyed beyond use. I will never use them again and will be taking all my business elsewhere. They do not even care - the local postmaster just hung up on me.

Oxford, Mississippi PO is by far the worst on McElroy Dr. There's a line literally out the door daily waiting for them to open. It's 9:30 and if the hrs have changed, plz state that on the door. Others, like me stop by before work because you're closed when I get off. This place has gone done since Minister Chris made his transition. I didn't want to leave a star at all but couldn't leave a review without it

They are so Rude

So my mom is diabetic and she gets her insulin shipped to her and her insulin have to be delivered the same day we have dogs outside our houses that are not our dogs and we understand that the post office would not deliver it because of the dogs so we wait outside for Our mail so the other day we was waiting outside and whoever was on duty that day Drove pass our house so we're walking up to them to get our mail and they drove away which was very rude even if they was scared of the dogs we was right there and we was gonna make sure nothing gonna happen (there are not our dogs) I call customer service and they was very rude saying that he carrier was not gonna delivered the mail if there dogs outside and I told them but we was waiting outside because we know that the carrier afraid and all the had to do is hand us the mail they did not have to get out there car. Also my mom insulin can not be in these top of weather or it's gonna go bad and they are not taking listen to consideration and they were being very unprofessional
