Upwork had made my life so easy. You can get a contract and after the contract you can earn huge amount depending on the project. Trust me Upwork is the best. Other freelancing platforms are full of scams but on Upwork, you are protected from Scam. Their customer service is the best. When you contact them for help, they quickly reply.

Great online platform anybody can trust anytime. It's indeed a pleasure using upwork. I recommend it for everyone who has some talents to offer.
In general it's ok. I only once had an issue with them because there was a misunderstanding on their side. I logged in from a different location. They asked me to confirm it was I. I did. And then they sent me a message asking to change our headquarters location to the one I am working from. I work remotely. From home. My house is not an office. And I don't want anyone to think that our office is located in a different country because it's not true. I suppose this website is all about freelance jobs and I don't understand why they were so surprised. Moreover, each time I received a message from a different operator (usually you talk to just one). That was strange. And one of them, thankfully, was smart and stopped this nonsense, because the previous ones suspended our account for no reason and didn't cared about my arguments at all. Looked lke they didn't even read my messages.
That's good they care about safety, but there's no need in overreacting.
As I mentioned on the title, Upwork changed my life. I was a normal office worker, working from 8am to 6pm every single day. But since I joined to Upwork, I feel confident to leave my normal job to a full-time remote worker. Upwork made remote work became way much easier and safer for freelancer like me. I loved it!

Upwork is Really Good Platform for Freelancers and Agencies but they have lots of conditions if you violate them by mistake they can terminate our account without giving any second chance. That's the main issue I found in their privacy policy and lots of people discussing this topic on the Upwork community.
I love Upwork! Sure, it is competitive but with prompt and well-written proposals you can win projects. I don't much like the Job Success % Score and the mysterious ways it is adjusted (idle contracts are damaging etc) but the interaction with Upwork has been extremely good and I have faith in the people running the show that they do care about working/hiring experiences. The reporting tools for tax etc could be improved (I have made suggestions!) but the financials are good quality. I rate Upwork as the best platform, beating Guru, PeoplePerHour and Freelancer.com hands down!

Upwork is very reliable platform for work remotely. I have found success on upwork and very happy after working on upwork.
I have engage this freelancer for our project and with all the delay which from the freelancer and we have already release 50% payment to him, he went missing and delay not responding for setting up our ecommerce for 8 months, i have informed Upwork in April 2020 but they claimed that the dispute only cover 90 days which i am 91 days. They contacted the freelancer and acknowledge the freelancer did not response to me and the freelancer did not response to them as well but they have no way to take further action, Upwork dispute is not able to protect the client like me as i already paid, the freelancer use the delay tactics and ignore my message to him, i waited for 3 months after he commit saying to delivered the completion in 2 weeks since June but he did not. I inform Upwork and they told me to end the contract and they will take the arbitration but end up they told me is a mistake as i already over the 90 days dispute and they cant do anything, i suggest to them they have to suspend th freelance account if the freelancer did not response to my case since he is counting working with others. I told Upwork that tis freelancer have been tell lies that he have the skillset to build the ecommerce store which he did not. I am very pissed on how upwork manage such matter and they even remove my comment on this freelancer as per attached, Upwork remove my comment and did not make necessary action against this freelancer, You never know this scammer can continuing using the way how he cheated me and delay the project using convid 19 as an excuse, server down etc. all the bull$#*!, to others. I strongly advise all of you using Upwork on the milestone releasing is never secure, freelancer can be missing after you paid him half way. He can do whatever you want him to do.

Don't tell anyone but I have been able to score $100/hr, long-term, interesting and very cool gigs from UpWork, from very nice people from the comfort of my own home. Mind you, you need to work hard to go through the listings, but if you're diligent and persistent and you take a little extra time to make a connection, UpWork is an excellent place to get gigs and make money.
As a freelancer I am using Upwork for more than 2 years. It is a great platform and I recommend this site to both freelancers & clients.
I started working on Upwork, starting from its oDesk days. I have worked on the site for the past 5 years mainly as a translator, but also on other projects as well. It is a very good site for freelancers, with reputable clients, comforting Escrow method and payment protection policies. The website is also easy to maneuver through unlike some others where it gets very complicated you just don't want to start working there.

Answer: I am a customer and have had a really horrible experience. Upwork claims a 100% guarantee before you pay anything. That is not true. The process is actually quite horrible. You put money in escrow. You only get your money back after a bad contract if the freelancer agrees to release the money. If the freelancer refuses, you get a bargain offer to still pay them something but still you are paying for a bad job you can't use. Then, if you refuse to bargain over a bad job, you are told that it will cost you an additional $389 to arbitrate with a 3rd party affiliate that the customer (me), the freelancer (scammer) and Upwork (ripoff enabler) has to pay. I took it all the way to arbitration with the end result being that Upwork decided that I was just too uninformed to know their policy and that they would give me a one time only refund of my original amount. What they didn't tell me what that they just gave me a "credit" of my original amount and that was the end. So I am still out the original amount and can't get my money back. This sight is a ripoff. Plain and simple.
