This site is AMAZING! Even a college student like me could get a job there, unlike LinkedIn or OnlineJobs where they only hire real professionals. It also comes with its own desktop app that TRACKS YOUR TIME for you! So you can automatically track your hourly payments, as well as your progress on the work. Literally the only downside to this site is the connect system, but as long as you're picky with where you apply, you get over it really quick. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

One of things I enjoy working on Upwork is that wherever I am I can always work, when I'm on the go to any location, or when I'm on vacation, I can work and I can earn money.
The choice for the working schedule is also flexible, I can work for someone in Canada or in Paris or in the United States, I can arrange my schedule as I want. Thank you UPWORK.

Living in a third world country is hard, very hard. And your only way to be able to make the most out of your talents and skills is to think and work location independent and that's where Upwork provides that platform.

With Upwork, I can not only earn the world standard in what my skills are worth but also I can gain relevant experience that puts me way above professionally in how far my skills can get me in my country. Its a very good invention for today's world. Definitely recommend

I consider Upwork as the best freelancing platform among many. I am grateful that due to Upwork I could explored the vast kindom of freelancing. I met some amazing clients and learnt (and still learning) many things that a freelance should know. It's not all about good experiences because as a freelancer, one may come across some bad experiences as well. So, a freelancer, as a one-man army, must take every experience into account and plan their freelancing journey accordingly.

If it wasn't from Upwork, I certainly would have been homeless by now.

With the whole world now resorting to online alternatives for their usual go-to places to get stuff done, Upwork was already far ahead of anyone in this business with the quality and reliability of the services they offer to their clients as well as freelancers. I think of Upwork as being one of the best 'employment broker' out there, having a solid customer base with a proven history of positive long-term client relationships. I have been on Upwork on a daily basis for almost a month now and have already had more than 15 successful proposals and over 10 contracts. By working with clients from all over the world looking for skilled and professional people, Upwork has been constantly working 24/7 on linking those clients with freelancers that would suit their needs best.

At the end of the day, I believe that it is clear to everyone that it is in Upwork's interest to look after everyone relying on their platform and services to earn a bit of money, be it their clients, the freelancers, or even themselves. As long as all of our goals are aligned, I can't think of any reason for which I would give them anything less than a 5-star rating.

To Upwork: Keep up the great work, keep growing and keep improving the design and ease of use of this golden platform of yours!

I am on upwork for the last 8+ years as freelancer. Doing a job is good to get regular earnings but could not help you to become rich or get full reward of your hard-work. Upwork is good for skilled and experienced professionals around the world especially from under developed countries to sell their services on good rate remotely and get full reward of their work. If you know what you are doing then you should join upwork and earn some extra money.

An amazing platform to grow your business! They charge a fair fee for offering you a group of tools that will help reach your clients and do what you want to do.
At least it's worth trying!

I started with Upwork when I was nothing, And now I'm a Mid Level freelancer, So my opinion is that, it is a very good platform for the beginner. Everyone will pray for me Thanks

Although happy with the freelance work, I found their customer service and payment processing to be horrible. While the freelancer and I agreed to a fixed payment of $200 for a simple logo, I was charged far in excess (at one point over $600). You think it's fixed, and then they charge you again. I had no response to emails or phone calls. I feared it was a "shell" company. I finally sent out a tweet and got a response and then had to wait almost 5 days before I could speak to a person (rather than a "bot') who went on about "exchange rates" between Canada and U.S. being the discrepancy. I don't know how any American can insist that exchange rates are 3:1 when they are more like 25-30% lower for Canadian dollar! It took a long time for me to escalate this issue to the next level and although they did credit my account, there was always something missing. I just decided to cut my losses, change my credit card and NEVER use them again. Nightmare.
