I've been a retrophile for some time. I love the selection that UV offers, and with a wide variety of price points. UV is my go-to for special event dresses and accessories. They always have just the outfit I need to stand out and make a lasting impression. I've started buying UV for my work attire too. Every now and then they have flash sales (like a $25 dress sale that totally emptied my bank account). The more expensive dresses tend to have sturdier construction compared to the $25 dresses, but the quality of the cheaper dresses is still pretty decent. I don't expect to get a $125 dress for $25. I must admit that the sizing of the brands they carry is extremely inconsistent. I'm so grateful that they always provide sizing charts so I can pick the right size. I'm a huge fan of UV and always get tons of compliments on my outfits. Thanks, UV! XOXO.

I have been a customer of Unique Vintage for nearly a year and am happy with my purchases and the service they provide. The styles are interesting, eclectic and fun.
He items I have returned were never to do with quality, just didn't like the fit or the style on me. Returns are very easy. They do take several weeks to process returns, but my inquiries have always been answered within 24 hours and the customer service reps are very helpful.

I've shopped in store and online for years. Online shopping, especially for vintage styles, can be tricky. But I've never had a problem with Unique Vintage. Their size charts are accurate. I've never had issues choosing the right size. Plus, their selection is amazing. I love that they offer a lot of their basics in different colors. Also, my orders are always shipped quickly. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop!

I have shopped both in store and online and have always had good experiences. I have always been a thick curvy girl and am currently a solid 2X. I hate shopping online because getting something that fits right is so difficult. But, every skirt and dress I have ordered from UV fit perfectly. I have only had to make alterations to one dress and it was for my bust. Shipping has always been a pleasant surprise too since my orders usually arrive like 2 days prior to the estimated delivery date.

Overall I love this site and the storefront. Some things are pricey, but compared to many other vintage fashion sites UV is actually one of the more affordable places to shop with.

Wish I saw these reviews earlier. Bought a vintage style black and red sailor halter one piece swimdress. Material quality was decent, but there were many poor design/manufacturing issues:

1. Should include a height measurement. My torso is a little longer so I understand this is a more personalized problem. The padding of the suit barely covered my chest and was not under the red stripe portion, just the black material below it.
2. Padding had no smooth edge at the seam, which led to visible ridges under the fabric of the suit.
3. At the waist two different fabrics met under the top layer, creating an awkward seam at the middle that made another raised ridge in the middle of the fabric. Visible at a questionable location.
4. Buttons should have been sewn on the flip side for better detailing. Buttons were not sewn on semetrically. One fell off right away while I was putting the swimsuit on for the first time.

Overall for the price I paid I expected better quality in design and production, not just fabric, especially since it claims to be made in the States.

Omg how much I love this store! I just wished they would bring in new stuff everyday LOL! The dresses fit perfectly I never have to tailor anything from here. I will never buy any dress from department stores again I have spend thousands of dollars on dresses and always have to have them altered in some way, but not here. Only downfall is that online clothing is not in store to try on. Or I would be spending a lot more money here.

They charge 7 dollars for shipping under 150 dollars for clothing--which is among the lighter/cheaper to pack parcels, yet they ship FedEx SmartPost from California... SmartPost is one of the slowest if not the slowest economy shipping one can use. CA is one of the worst places if not THE worst place to order from in terms of shipping times. So--enough said. I'm not impressed by that and I've lowered my star-rating in accordance to it. I understand a small-scale ebay seller doing this to save money but I find it greedy from a larger-scale website.

Just be aware that if you purchase online the shipping may take forever. I ordered a dress for an event approximately two weeks before I needed it and assumed that it would arrive in plenty of time. I did not pay for two-day shipping which was a big mistake. It was shipped by Fedex and stayed in CA for 5 days (according to the tracking) before it even left the state. I understand it is a Fedex issue more that Unique Vintage, but because the dress did not arrive in time I was stuck at the very last minute and thought others should know about this potential problem. Typically, packages arrive so quickly it amazes me... not in this case!

Several things to point out
- You are charged much much more in international tax and delivery than they claim on their website.
- The website is so glitchy that I accidentally ordered two versions of the same thing. I didn't get a confirmation email for my first order so I assumed it hadn't worked again. Because the website was so slow it took me an hour of constant clicking and refreshing to make it work [I have a good connection and ordering from all other sites is easy].

So happy I took a chance on this company. My daughter and I started looking online for prom dresses over the winter holiday, mostly just for fun. They happened to have a designer Terani Couture dress that retails for $350 for just $75 - it was exactly what she was wanting and the only size left was her size. I was leary of purchasing after reading the reviews on this site. I called to make sure the dress was still in stock and immediately got an actual person in customer service. We decided to take a chance. I ordered online. The dress shipped the same day it was ordered and was received, well packaged, in one week even though it shipped across country. It is in perfect shape and is really beautiful. I hope others have the same experience if they take a chance, too.

In addition to my comment on their very off sizing in shoes, they still owe me a refund for an item which they never sent and was cancelled. Not only that but their rigid policies is a clear sign to stay away from ordering from this website. I'm sure there are many more unhappy customers who haven't bothered to write a review.
Now I have to go find someone with midget sized feet who will buy my shoes. Given that I'm an international customers and with the additional restocking fee and their bad customer service, I don't want the hassle of having to chase it up in the refund process with them.
