I will NEVER order from ulta again, i accidentally sent my order to the wrong address and i called a few hours after i purchased it when i noticed that i sent it to the old address to which they refused to cancel my order, change my shipping address, and said it couldn't be returned to the sender and that they were unable to refund my item because it was delivered, BUT IT WAS DELIVERED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS they said there was nothing they could do about it and someone who i don't even know in a different city has my product and i'm out of 50 dollars, AND THEY EVEN HUNG UP ON ME A FEW TIMES, worst customer service in the world, please go somewhere better for your makeup.
I just spent 45 min trying to cancel / adjust an order because I forgot to add some items my wife wanted. Let's just say, it was painful. I only waited that long because I didn't want my wife to be disappointed but had no idea this company was so difficult to deal with.
I placed the order at 3 am and sent them a message shortly after asking them to cancel it, since my wife made me realize I had not included all the items she wanted. I contacted via chat at 7 am, their hours are 7-23 so I was probably the first customer to contact them today. The order is on my name, however I put down my wife's email so she can check the status of the order herself, so the customer service attendant said she couldn't verify the order because the account was on her name. I explained no account was created, her name is not on the order because I am the one who will receive it, so if the order is on my name why couldn't it be verified? She agreed to check if a cancellation was possible after I mentioned this. I waited another 30 min to hear back from the warehouse, and of course they said the order was being processed and couldn't be canceled. Hard to be believe that they take half an hour to check if an order can be cancelled but they process it that quickly? Needless to say I'm exhausted and it's only 8am, very dissatisfied with this company's customer service. Zero empathy, zero common sense, zero flexibility. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere, if you place an order be careful not to make any mistakes because you know they won't offer a solution /help you fix it.
One of my orders from Ulta.com was stolen at some point after delivery. It was left by UPS downstairs in the building where anyone could take it, it wasn't brought up to my apartment. I was out that day, and by the time I got back the package was no longer there.
I have lived in this apartment for over a decade now, and must have had at least 20 packages stolen over the years, and NOT ONCE did the retailer handle it in such a deplorable fashion. Every single retailer refunded me for the missing order. After all, they have insurance for losses like that - I do not.
The week this Ulta order went missing two of my Amazon deliveries were stolen as well (it was right after Black Friday), Amazon refunded me immediately, but Ulta gave me the runaround for over two weeks with probably 15 different "supervisors" emailing me the exact same canned response - that UPS tracking information shows the item as delivered, and thus they cannot provide a refund. It is completely irrelevant what UPS shows - *I* did not receive the order! I am out $125 of my own money!
Like I said, this wasn't the first time I had a package stolen, but it was the first time for me that it happened to be an *Ulta* package. I was shocked and dismayed to witness that such a major corporation doesn't even have a process in place for handling cases of this nature. I was a Diamond customer up until that point, but Ulta has now lost my business forever. I hope they choke on my $125.
I ordered several items one of them being the Dyson airwrap upon opening the package everything was there but that. I thought maybe it was in another package but that wasn't the case. Checked my cameras and nothing was taken. Called Ulta 4 separate times and 3 of them being put on hold just to be hung up on after being told it was in fact delivered. Incredibly frustrating that they can't take responsibility after finally getting in touch with a supervisor the only thing she could offer was a refund and this was after an hour of explaining I NEVER RECEIVED IT. How do you just not ship an item while charging over $600? Unacceptable business ethics.
I ordered a bunch of items worth a lot of money online for gifts, ulta has still yet to refund me my money or even send out my package that I still never received. The customer service is horrible when you call. Still waiting for them to investigate my stuff and I just keep waiting and waiting even after paying for all my items. I much rather shop at Sephora they are a lot nicer.

I had purchased a few items online and unfortunately chose the wrong colors in foundation, concealer and eyebrow product, I had contacted customer support and they were quick to help and I was able to get a reship of my products and do an easy return transaction, I would recommend them over any other makeup companies such as Sephora and Mac, which in my experiences have been rude and unhelpful
I love Ulta! The only reason I took a star off is because there are some high end brands that they just don't carry. Things like Gucci for example. Their rewards/points system is awesome, perhaps better than Sephora's however they don't include samples/free promo items like Sephora either. Their customer service is definitely better than Sephora's and they're much easier to get in touch with. If you're looking for great makeup/haircare- general beauty supplies, I recommend Ulta. If however you're looking for more high end, you're best bet is they brands website or Sephora.

I have never encountered a lousy customer service than Ulta, s recently in September 2021 during the 21 days of beauty, ulta had a promo of adding 200 points towards your rewards if you shop atleast $50 or more. I spent about $500, the auto calculator did add the points for the money spent but when i reached out to the customer service for those extra200 poits, i got an email that i should get back after September 27th. Afterwards when sent a reminder again, i got multiple Ramblings non excuses in multiple emails that i had to reply NOT to email me anymore. I can only hope that no customer of ulta should have to contact these people. The amount of worst reviews that i just read for ulta customer service, I wonder how these people still work for ulta unless this is a policy choice by this corporation.

Carrier shows package is lost and customer service representative indicated that nothing could be done until after 8 business day time period had passed. No deviation or correction could be made and was told that manager would reject any attempt to escalate issue. Ulta indicated they have no ability to contact third-party carrier.
I have never had a bad experience with ordering online! I have never paid for shipping and have always had the packages within the week! Their products are always in excellent condition, if I buy at the store or online! I would always recommend ULTA!
The courier service said they showed proof of delivery for an item i never received. I spent $700 for a product I don't have. I am being punished by Ulta and the horrible courier service (which is not even a reputable company, all you have to do is stop being lazy and do your research and you will see this is a common theme with them). I don't understand why Ulta would ship a $700 package through an unknown source it should have been FedEx or UPS. I am now having Ulta and that courier service investigated which started yesterday. Your company has made me the criminal when I have done absolutely nothing wrong, within an hour after the delivery (I was at work 40mins away, and didn't get off until 6pm and make it home until nearly 7pm), I had my friend go down to my door within an hour of "delivery" and she said nothing was there! So how in the world did my package disappear? It was placed at my frontdoor, And why wasn't it placed in the mailroom in the locker so that I could get a code to retrieve it, the courier service was lazy and actually never came to my property! Ulta says the courier has proof of delivery but has refused to show this proof and a picture of the delivery. On top of that, the person delivering for the company is independent, which means they're hired by them to drop packages off and if they marked delivered, they are paid around $2 to $3 per delivered item. So where is my package Ulta? Do you truly think that everyone is a liar and that there are no honest people? $700 for an item I don't have but now have paid for. You should have never used LSO (Lonestar Overnight Shipping). On top of that I called them 3 times and was on hold for nearly an hour each time and no one ever picked up, I left my name for a callback and they never tried to reach me. This is a shady company and cannot believe a reputable company like Ulta is okay with this service.
Totally disappointed with the order I received today. The website said the shampoo I wanted was in stock at the Bolingbrook store. Drove all the way over there to find out "the website is not updated" and the shampoo was not in stock. So they ordered 2 bottles for me with free shipping. I received the order today and it was a hot mess. The shipping envelope was sub-standard and inappropriate for the product. The top broke off one of the bottles, leaking shampoo everywhere. The package was completely saturated, and my mailbox was filled with shampoo. I have learned my lesson; if the product is not in the store, do not buy it under the guise of "free shipping." Ulta, please pay attention to these reviews. I'm not the only one who has experienced issues with your shipping and packaging
Horrible customer service. I will never buy from them again. I emailed back and forth 5 times with specific question about fixing an order or getting a store credit for a free accessory and they cannot answer a question or even acknowledge what I'm asking. They clearly cannot understand English. I wanted the free item that was missing or store credit. They never addressed either question. Do not buy from them. I will be returning the product.
Answer: It's not that the prices are particularly higher than anywhere else, it's that the products they sell are very high end and nowhere except like Marshall's etc has any of those brands for less. So I'd say yes they're all worth the money. Some brands are better than others depending on personal preference but they also have a rewards program that's free :)
Answer: If you're asking about Ulta's brand, you can only buy it at Ulta. Other items can be purchased through other retailers. However, you have to really dig to find anything cheaper than Ulta. Especially during a sale and with a coupon.

Answer: Many companies have this policy. Probably because they allow returns at their stores very easily. I usually just place a new correct order, and return the incorrect order. Sometimes if you call customer service, depending on the mistake, they can fix it for you.
