I filed my tax return with their lousy paid service. They gave me a pdf claiming that this is what they submitted form, a year later IRS charged me more money plus its interest for not filing the proper tax. Upon calling, checking and waste of a lot of my time, I figured it out that one of the deduction that was in their pdf was actually removed in the their own submission!
Turbotax has no customer support, can you believe it? They charge you for the service and yet no email or phone to respond and fix their mess, unless you pay them again.
Overall, don't use this service, there are a lot better sites, and cheaper (if not free).

I tried filing my taxes through turbotax last year, but they wanted to charge me more so i went through H&R block. Unfortunately H&R block had technical issue last year and it created a nightmare of glitches and filing issues for thousands of people, including me. Vowing not to experience that this year, I returned to Turbotax and decided to just pay the extra that they requested the year before. 2 days after filing and being charged, I received an email saying that my Federal return has been rejected due to an "incorrect AGI" (which I pulled directly from my last years return). I attempted to refile it and received that same notification. So this time, I chose to file by mail and bypass all the AGI nonsense. Low and behold, it wouldn't let me chose the option of filing by mail. So I called a Turbotax representative. I was on the phone with her for 1 hour and 35 minutes, all the while-- she was on the phone with a higher up representative trying to figure this out. In the end, we accomplished nothing, I am more confused that ever, and was hung up on (and I was polite as ever). I tried calling back and got put on a wait list for 55 minutes.
HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. I will never, ever, ever suggest Turbo Tax like I have in the past.
Please look elsewhere for Tax needs.

I have had several serious issues with the product this year. If I put in an entry on capital gains and then delete it, it continues to show the capital gains.

The password reset system does not even work (I get the code and enter it and the system will not allow me to hit the continue button.) If you are dealing with investments, it gets much worse.

I hear they have new management over there and in many other ways the software which used to be a joy and a delight is now difficult and from what I can tell incorrect in the extreme. I will have to pay $700+ to have a professional put all of my work into their own software. I am using the advanced pkg -- Home and Business as usual and it is AWFUL this year.

My employer reimburses me for the services I pay for tax returns. I took turbo tax and they charged me for the services and they deny generating any invoice for the services purchased. This is simply illegal. I am going to pursue other formal means to file a complaint on Turbotax for this. Date called support 5th of March. Turbo tax can call me when they can send me the invoice. Very rude customer support talking over me. Telling what they want to tell. Highly unbelievable.!

I'm on hold as I write this review. DO NOT download TurboTax -- buy it at BestBuy or somewhere.

For almost an hour (will be an hour after I write this) their stupid staff cannot find an order I just paid for. I put it on bluetooth so my family could laugh along with how inept they are. I've been downloading for at least 10 years and using TurboTax for 20. But, this year is getting off to a terrible start.

DO NOT TRUST THEIR WEBSITE -- IT WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH HOURS OF INCOMPETENCE TO TRY TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

Spent hours inputing my info to turbotax. Got to the end and it need me to fix some things, ok sure lets see. It was asking for information it already had and didn't have an option to check the "same as above address" box shown on the actual tax form. I called a real live representative and she didn't understand why the program wasn't transferring the information properly. We both went over the whole return together on the phone while she was connected to my computer screen looking at what I was. So turbotax was just as confused as I was about why turbotax wasn't working properly. She said I could just print and send in by mail, but theres no reason for that when my return is a simple one with no stipulations and entered correctly. Plus this is the 21st century, who mails things when it's literally 75% faster to e-file. Now, I had a similar situation two years ago. They failed to transfer two numbers to my city tax form, which showed me owning hundreds to the city when in fact the city owed me a return. (H&R Block helped me figure that out)
All in all I give Turbotax ZERO stars because this is not a light matter. People get in trouble for falsifying tax information and these things can trigger an audit.

Last week I was checking my emails on g-mail and there was an ad serves ad stating Receive a GUARANTEED $2,642 on your next Federal Tax Refund
! I used Turbo Tax last year so I thought why not check it out knowing that it was probably untrue. It was just a link to Turbo Tax.

After thinking about it I got really mad knowing that I was not the only person that was duped. This is not a fair practice and companies that use this type of marketing should Be fined the maximum. The economy is bad enough without big companies scamming people during tax season. This is wrong and I think the people should know a bout Turbo Tax and the scams they
Try to get away.

I filed a complaint with the BBB of Silicon valley, home of Intuit Turbo Taxes parent company.
