The ironically named Trustpilot is a total sham. You are not permitted to list the names, titles or even the initials of any company representatives that you interacted with during the course of your experience with a given business. All of this information is public and yet they don't permit you to share it. Remove it, however, and your review may be declined because you can't prove that you had dealings with the business you're reviewing. Of course your review may be hidden or deleted for a variety of other reasons as well - all of which exist for the sole benefit of the business. The end result is a heavily censored collection of reviews that fail to paint a complete and accurate picture of the collection of personal experiences consumers have had with a given business.
I had my genuine reviews edited and or removed from TrustPilot, in addition they will propagate fraudulent sites with multiple Good ratings only to enhance the scams and illegal activities that these sites are involved in (usually money and solicitation related). Please do not use TrustPilot, and please expose them at every corner or this will get worse and worse.
They're just trying to get your money. All they care about is getting you locked into a contract and then you're stuffed after that. The person that sells you the service doesn't even work for Trust Pilot. There is nothing trustworthy about these guys. I had a small business in Australia, the sales person rang repeatedly and finally got me over the line. I then discovered he had massively up sold me for products my business didn't need but I was locked in. He also said that it would be no problem to break the contract if I was finding it too difficult. I did find it too difficult and they refused to honour what the sales guy had promised. I repeatedly asked for the transcript of my original sign up call and they ignored this and just kept sending accounts to be paid. I provided them with profit and loss to show the lack of income and financial difficulty and they still wouldn't honour it. DO NOT GET INTO BED WITH THESE GUYS. I don't have one good thing to say about my experience and I don't believe their product made any difference to my sales at all
I've had a number of reviews removed by trustpilot now even after proving their authentic. They basically accuse you of lying I assume because the site your reviewing complains to them and their scared of consequences. Useless!
I had left a review on Trustpilot for Alarm.com. Alarm.com called me and said I needed to replace my alarm panel with one of theirs (even though I use ADT) and they said it would be free and that they are the ones that actually make ADT alarm systems - the physical equipment itself. That didn't sound right, so I said "no" and ended the call. I then immediately called the phone number back and it was indeed, alarm.com that called. I then called ADT and they said, "no, they will replace your panel and then they will be the ones charging you - it's a good thing you called me to verify because we get a lot of that."
The next day, a person from alarm.com came out wearing a lanyard and shirt with alarm.com on it, who said the same thing and my RING doorbell camera caught it all. Well I posted a review on Trustpilot who then later emailed me asking for evidence of Alarm.com contacting me. I said, they called me - which is what I initially put on my review. Trustpilot apparently was contacted by Alarm.com to take off the review and they argued it didn't happen so Trustpilot asked for 'proof.'...FROM A PHONE CALL? They didn't realize I had a RING video of the proof so I submitted that. Now, a week later, Trustpilot apparently got paid off to AGAIN say they need more proof as if VIDEO EVIDENCE with sound wasn't good enough and on the video I said they called yesterday too. All on video.
So apparently Trustpilot will just take off any reviews if that company pays them enough. What a scam. Apparently they got their values from Yelp who got in trouble for the same thing. I think a lot of these review / "unbiased" sites are just full of it.
Do not trust trust pilot. Even though they have been clearly shown that companies leave fake reviews for themselves to dilute the negative reviews they removed my comments and yet allowed the fake reviews to remain. Trust Pilot is not trust worthy!
No doubt this review will get deleted as well!
I use trust pilot for my business. However, they do not use any integrity, when reviewing hateful or harmful posts that are fraudulent against a company. When you try and take action by flagging the post and pointing out the issues, they refuse to do anything about it and leave the hateful and abusive verbiage in place that slanders the organization when in fact they did nothing wrong. When you leave a negative review on Trustpilot, about Trustpilot, they remove it instantly therefore they do not walk the talk.
Beware of horrible sales practices. We received nothing but 5-star reviews, yet their system shows a 4.1-star average. Feels like some kind of tactic to get us to call them to fix it, only to be sold on a falsely advertised "monthly" (billed quarterly) plan with a 12-month contract. No mention of 12-month contract other than buried deep in the FAQ towards the bottom of the page. Even the salesperson didn't know where to find the mention of the 12-month contract!
My experience with leaving reviews on Trustpilot platform has not been great. What I have basically found is that they encourage users to get verified by loading their government ID like a drivers licence but then when I get my verification I found that they will only let me leave positive reviews of companies. Absolutely ANY negative reviews get deleted after I had my profile verified. Not sure why that is the case with Trustpilot but many others have shared similar experiences.
I was invited to write a review for a business, and this led to me writing several reviews at Trust Pilot.
I tend to only write positive reviews, in order to encourage more people to patronize companies I like. But, if a company is egregiously bad, I will sometimes write a negative review.
I'm a writer, and pretty reasonable. All my reviews, good, bad, or neutral, were 100% factual and written in decent English.
I went to write a new review, one day, and got an error message. Every search, even the home page, results in an error message for me. This means Trust Pilot has blocked my IP #, but never notified me of any issue. I have absolutely zero idea why.
Since all my reviews are factual, and didn't include foul language, hyperbole, or anything that would warrant not publishing those reviews, it means Trust pilot is actively manipulating reviews. This makes them, by definition, untrustworthy.
They, apparently, have such a tremendous issue with my truthful reviews, they blocked me from even being able to SEE their site or any reviews. How unprofessional, dishonest, cowardly even, to take such drastic measures, and not even notify me. You'd think I'd made threats or something! All I did was write honest reviews, most of them 5 stars!
I have hundreds of online reviews at various sites, and many have huge numbers of helpful votes. I'm proud of that because my intent is to help others find great businesses, and avoid the bad ones. Turns out, I now have to let people know Trust Pilot reviews aren't credible.
I wrote a really positive review about a small business. Almost two years later Trust Pilot integrity content team contacted me to say it had suspended my review and wanted proof of purchase. I sent the relevant emails of my order & purchase but it was adamant that this was not enough evidence and proceededtoremove my review. The whole experience was very odd to say the least! I have since unsubscribed from their website & no longer bother to write reviews good or bad, as I don't believe that they are trustworthy or truly impartial. Indeed, had it been a positive review of a company that pays them big bucks, I've no doubt my review would have remained unchallenged!
In the not-so-distant past, my firm had a suite adjacent to Trustpilot. (I'll omit the exact location to minimize any chance of repercussions.)
I'd interact with some of their employees in the hallways/common areas from time to time. I'd bet all of them - every single one - would corroborate these negative comments. They hated where they worked. Hated it. I'd say the typical tenure within this particular office was less than 4 months.
I'm an old reviewer at Trustpilot They recently removed one of my bad reviews against Mr. Porter for no reason Order number was provided and even one of the emails about my incident with this merchant was sent I think that they now get $$$ from the merchant to remove bad reviews
I left an honest positive review of a free online study site on "trustpilot" and they removed my review. It feels to me that "trustpilot " is biased. I was very happy to have found the free online study site. I have only completed 1 course but have started other courses. Since study completion depends on my schedule, I will work on the courses when I want to. And I stand behind my removed review. I will use other review sites and continue to praise the online study site
Unless as a business you are paying their extortionate monthly fee's they will mainly remove any positive reviews you receive under the pretence of the customer "breaking guidelines".
Or even -99 because it is a simple extortion platform
And they ask you to pay or they will put negative feed backs
Lol
I wrote a negative review of a VPN company that I paid for a two year subscription and removed after three months and ate the remainder of the money thats how bad it was Trustpilot suspended my subscription and wanted me to send documentation that I actually had a subscription with the company, funny they didnt ask for proof with all the positive reviews I did, so that tells me their integrity is in question flagging bad reviews and allowing positive reviews, I won't waste my time with them anymore
Answer: Simple it is their website so they remove reviews that are negative just like how they let complains report negative reviews on their website. Trustpilot is not a good website the company allows companys to report reviews and since the companys pay them many reviews are taken off and removed..
