SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, They ruined my vacation don't ever book with them even if they are the cheapest offer online as you will find your booking cancelled after you arrange everything but 2 or 3 days before your vacation booking date. I booked through their website in Canada as I found their offer is the best online. We are happy that we are going to spend good time in Hurghada, Egypt. I booked July5th and paid the requested deposit and the mentioned they would withdraw the remaining on Aug10th and will issue confirmation number and Hotel vouchers. In the hotel offer policy that the offer is only for Canadians and Americans, I booked as we are Canadians. August 14 just a week before our vacation they sent us that we cancelled your booking, WTF we already in the flight. I sent them email they said because you guys are Egyptians. I told them we are Canadian who told you that we are Egyptians, there should be a mistake here and you cancelled our booking before asking us to send you our Canadian passport copy. They said sorry this misunderstand from our side happened and we will refund you. I sent them email that I will send a complain to the ministry of tourism in Canada, USA and Egypt. I called the customer service to escalate the issue as this is from their side not mine and they should solve it and rebook. They said we are sorry that happen a lot, I book with Expedia, Booking, Agoda and never had such a situation. I called the resort and the sales manager mentioned that they have a big issue even in their room booking that room capacities are different than the actual Hotel policy so you will be screwed once arrive the hotels. I will sue them. The sales manager of the hotel understood the situation and was very helpful and rebook for me but sure more expensive.
The provider "TravelUp" does not seem to have timely support and the website fails to mention rate expections from some countries (without an option to refund if issues occur).
We had to cancel due to illness.
Fortunately we were given full credit for our trip ( or 75% refund). We opted for full credit.
However when we selected new dates for same number of nights, the price jumped up significantly. When we tried to accept new price, the price would continue to go up every couple days.
Travel up had to go to hotel to confirm dates and prices.
In the end our hotel price was 50% more than our credit for same number of nights. It would have been cheaper and easier to go straight to hotel for reservations. I would not use this company again.

The credit voucher cannot guarantee the same prices as before unfortunately. Hotels and flight prices will nearly always rise as the days pass which would be why your hotel price had risen. We can see our staff had made sure these prices were correct and it was indeed the case with the hotel.

Got my hotel room for a great price! I've never used travel up before but had a great experience.
Booked a hotel through Travel Up and was completely screwed over. We got to the hotel and they didn't have our reservations. After speaking with a representative, we were told our reservations were cancelled and we were not told. We had to scramble to find last minute accommodations. Worst experience I have ever had with a travel company

I arrived at Bel Air Azur in Hurrughuda Egypt June 10th 2021 for a seven night stay with a copy of my confirmation letter, after showing my confirmation letter to the front desk staff [Awad Sayed Assistant front desk manager 20 12 2707 5689] they would not take the confirmation and a argument ensued, not one of the front desk staff had heard from Travelup or even knew of Travelup, I was informed that travelup had not contacted the Bel Air Azur for them to secure my reservation, I had to pay cash or not have a place to stay. I have never had this experience using Kayak or a company that is affiliated with Kayak. I now need to call Visa credit card to make sure I was not billed from TrvaelUP since I paid cash and do have a receipt, Simeon Fields 6/27/2021

It was very easy to book a hotel with Travel up. The website was easy to navigate and they sent me the confirmation to my email right away.
I booked a hotel on the site and wanted to cancel reservation two hours later. This was 12 days before I was scheduled to arrive. The hotel itself was a 48 hour cancellation policy. This site charged my an approximate $400 fee for cancellation and refused to amend this. It says its suppliers were charging it this fee but refused to tell me who these suppliers were. Never use this site. You can cancel on expedia or kayak without penalties.

The cancellation charges are stated on your booking before confirmation as these are what our suppliers charge to us on cancellation. As your booking was already in cancellation charges at time of booking this means that you could not cancel without their charges, which is not the case for many bookings

They made me pay the whole amount upfront. That should have tipped me off from the very get-go. But I have never done a third-party reservation. My reservation never made it to the hotel. They did not even email me a confirmation. I emailed travel up it took two days for them to get back to me the first time. They said that they would email me the confirmation when they heard back from their "vendor"? The language was funny. Sounded like a scam. I waited several more days the hotel still never got my reservation. Website did not have a phone number. They also made me pay Didn't realize that the company was not in the US. Said that it was in the UK. My phone carrier would not allow me to call the phone number provided. I finally found Several phone numbers for different countries. The US number was constantly busy. I finally called the Canadian number, because it was the only other # that I could call.
I was able to get through. But the man sounded like he was in Nigeria. He kept giving me the runaround. Saying that they were waiting for their vendor for the confirmation number. I told them I did not book through a fourth party. And I said that I was giving them till tomorrow morning and that if my reservation was not at the hotel by dad that I would be getting every penny of my money back. And he started yelling and screaming at me. He said that they had performed their end of the bargain… LOL they had done nothing but take my money.
Do not trust this company. Do not trust any company that tells you you have to pay everything upfront. They also were advertising rooms the next day at the same hotel for two king size beds in one room. This hotel does not even have two king size beds in their rooms. So total scam.
Travel up well have you traveling nowhere!
When I called my credit card company, they had to cancel my card and re-issue me another. Luckily I have a great credit card company.

I have been sent an additional fee for changing my booking from

I have had 2 flights cancelled last year and trying to use them all up with the only 1 year given prior expiry of such said vouchers. Since I cannot travel by plane to my country, I have had to make use of it for hotels in different cities in the United Kingdom. Most suggestions are not the best and every purchase has a £15 service fee, I also cannot plan and buy for multiple trips at a time making the £15 service fee amount to almost £100 out of my £524 ticket voucher, ain´t you trying to be lucky TRAVELUP?!

The service fee that you refer to is included in all our bookings and is inclusive in the displayed price. It is not an additional cost upon checkout. We feel that our prices are still some of the best available. If you are finding cheaper prices for the same accommodation on other websites, please do let a members of our team know, and they will see if the quote can be price matched.
We booked through Travel Up on June 7th for a room in Rapid City, SD for June 25-27. I received an email from Travel up on June 22 asking us to basically respond on how they did. I thought I would wait until we arrived. Upon our arrival we were informed our room had been canceled on June 9th. And the room had been paid for upon our reserving it. Thank goodness the hotel had one room available. DO NOT USE Travel Up! We will get our money back!

Very impressed with the excellent service when booking hotels in Perth, rates and booking process was very easy to use and cost efficient I would highly recommend this service for my next travels.
I booked a hotel in Miami 2 months in advance. I paid for 3 nights, called the hotel to confirm my reservation 1 month before my trip.
I travel from NYC to Miami for my birthday, when I arrived to the hotel they told us our reservation was cancelled because TravelUp never paid for it. They even showed us an email where they advised TravelUp that the reservation was going to be cancelled and they didn't even responded.
I called the customer service for about 3 hours, the reservations department never answered while I was still waiting at the hotel. The other departments said they couldn't do anything.
We had to leave the hotel and start looking for another option because their prices went up. All the hotels were fully booked or too expensive because there was a boxing game that weekend. We ended up staying at a hostel with 2 strangers in our bedroom.
The next day they finally answered saying the only thing they could do was to "chase their supplier" to see if they could give us a refund.
After reading other reviews I can't not understand how can they still be in business.
I kept calling everyday to follow up with my refund. I had to explain my situation every time I called and lose so much time and energy. 17 days later they finally sent me a refund after I told them I was going to take legal action.
This whole xperience was honestly a nightmare. Don't give your money to this scammers!

The hotel told me that they will refund me my stay for lack of service, but they said that they will send the refund to travel up so they can issue the refund to me as they were the one who charged my card. Travel up are now saying that they have a third party that should issue my credit! I paid Travel up and no one else, and don't care who is the third party is. Don't use this service, it's a bad business

In these cases from where a customer books using USD rates but the hotel has different rate exceptions, if our team notice this on the booking it will be flagged up. We apologise this was not flagged up, however it does mention this in our terms and conditions in the hotel section.
It is quite a rare case and there does not appear to be an automatic feature set up on the website to flag this, however we have responded to our IT department for future use as it would be difficult to rely on human control when we have thousands of bookings coming in.
