As I told you as I am looking at alot of negative reviews about your company I again stated that I want my refund for the bag since the smell of China (that is the country) when you go into a chemical plant. The smell makes me sick and I am tired of getting the refund into credit. Even if you say it is not real or a fake that wasn't the point as was the smell. Please be king enough to do so or as I said I will go to paypal and the better business bureau and I will make a very negative statement to the consumers about the products you are selling. I am tired of this.
I was interested to buy a rolex watch, to send in italy, but is better not, i realized that, there are many fake items. Thanks
If I could give 0 rating I would! Received an item that doesn't look like anything on the picture and they refused to give my money back to the credit card. I have appealed the case and they still refused to give mu money back. Talked to the manager and all she could say is "I'm sorry" No, you're not sorry! You only scam people, their hard earned money. That is how you make money. Never ever trust this website. Worst customer service. Rude!
I have had the absolute worst time dealing with this company! I placed my 1st order through Affrim... the product arrived and was not what was posted. Since then I've placed 4 other orders to use my $100 credit and each time I got a email saying seller cxld order! Why isn't there some type of liaison between seller & Tradesy to verify items are still available? When speaking with a SUPERVISOR... she was lost for words when I asked her that question! Then came back with... our development team is working on that. Horrible. They can keep the money. I'll NEVER visit that site again! LC
When someone purchases something, you get an email and God forbid if you don't respond immediately. However, even after you promptly ship, they take their cut, then there's another fee to have the money transferred and then you WAIT. An average transaction takes about 2 weeks to see your funds, and that's after you've shipped.
I WAS EMAIL BY A SELLER INFORMING ME THAT HER DAUGHTER SPILL NAIL POLISH ON THE LV BAG AND SHE HAD TO CANCEL IT WHAT A BUM WEBSITE IS THIS NO BAG NO REFUND NEITHER.
I have never publically complained about a website but I want to warn you to do your research before considering purchasing from Tradesy. Even Christmas gifts had a four day return policy so be careful with timing your purchases with recipients' inspection.
The handbag my daughter bought for me through Tradesy was filthy and not accurately pictured nor described. When I complained to Tradesy on Day Four, I was given a generic response--so much for customer support! I wish my daughter had spent more time researching the numerous Tradesy complaints instead of trusting them. I found much better selection and better pricing of same handbag model on EBay.
I went to Tradesy to buy a used Chanel bag. The site advertises that it sells designer items. Well next to Chanel Purse listings are items from Forever21. This shows me that Tradesy either does not monitor and check what is listed, or this really is not an exclusive designer site. Who authenticates the bags? If people can sell cheap $20Forever21 items next to $3000 Chanel purses, one has to wonder if the designer items are real. If Tradesy monitored the site for authenticity, Forever21 items would not be listed. Be careful when purchasing from Tradesy. Think about what I saw. Forever21 items listed as designer items. This site is bogus.
I bought 2 bags last week; 1 was an LV, the other a Gucci. The LV was cancelled because Tradesy determined it was a fake. I wanted to cancel the 2nd bag because now I was skeptical about the second bag. Well sure enough I received it, and it too was fake! I watched many videos and read about detecting fake bags and they proved to be very valuable. I was able to see the details of the fake bag come to life. Shame on these people who prey on others. Do not waste your time buying from them!
I purchased a Louis Vuitton bag from tradesy in December of 2015. I purchased the bag for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift and once received I took it to Louis Vuitton to have it authenticated and they quickly DENIED its authenticity. I contacted tradesy and returned. Kath B. The tradesy rep denied refunding my money and only offered tradesy credit after I invited her to take it to a Louis store in her area and prove me wrong, she refused. I'm now stuck with a credit for a site that sells counterfeit products. TRADESY = COUNTERFEIT, CON-ARTIST, LYING THIEVES. Oh, be ready when you call customer service it sounds like the dog pound, I could hardly hear the rep over the dogs fighting in the office, literally.
THEY ALLOW THE SALE OF FAKE BAGS! Don't shop here (or tradesy which they just merged with) they can't be trusted... The reason why I choose to purchase my bag from shop-hers is the apparent authenticity check that happens before the bag is sent to the buyer. Well this NEVER HAPPENED. The bag I purchased was a FAKE! It wasn't until my friend who was an authenticator told me my bag was fake that I began researching this company. I have reached out to them and yet to hear back from them. I am reporting the selling of fake good to BBB, and will press until I get my money back. This is ridiculous, don't claim to authenticate when you don't do it.
Tried Tradesy for less than 3 months, had several rollers but only sold one item! Tradesy charges a lot for nothing, you do all the work, they provide boxes & help with shipping(if you ever sell anything) and take 9%! EBay is so much easier & cheaper, & stuff actually sells, screw Tradesy.
Be very cautious when ordering from this site. Any one can post anything and sell anything. The site does not check the product before its sent out nor do they take the pictures or write up the description. Its your responsibility to make sure the product is authentic and not fake.
I recently sold a Louis Vuitton backpack valued at over $2k on tradesy and the transaction was completely seamless. I had an excellent buyer who communicated with me after receiving the item who made the experience pretty great. 4 days later I could withdraw the $ straight to my account. I recommend this site! I was hesitant as I usually stick with ebay, and have done well there, but Tradesy was great!
A purchase was made on our credit card the bank stopped payment I called to try and get it cancelled only to be told I needed to call with the bank on 3 way what kind of crap is that I have never heard of it, A order that was done less than 24 hrs is being cancelled and you are telling me I'lI have to call with the bank who has that time of day If I did not receive your product this should not be an issue product was not even shipped so this should not be a problem
I tried tradesy.Com because they merged with shophers.Com and I bought some great deal on designer items however I purchased a Louis Vuitton belt and was shocked when I received it.
It came in what looked like original box with dust bag. The seller put it inside a large post office box without bubble wrap or other protection. The box was creased and wrinkled. When I opened it a horrible scent like a chemical came out.
I have some original pieces from The LV galleria in Roseville CA so I compared the belts, I also Google fake LV Belts. The outside looked good, the LV logo on it was correct, I turned it over and compared the codes and they seemed ok. Easy to see and feel and in correct places. I looked at the brads holding the buckle on, the correct screws were there but we're not in the correct location. So I checked stitching and it was OK until it was at corner, they were even on 1 side but other had 3 smaller instead of 2 to match.
I emailed tradesy and left my concerns. They were closed and I would get response next day. I did not get one, so I called the number and let them know of concerns. You have 4 days to start return so that isn't a lot of time to be stuck with the purchase.
So on the phone I explained I emailed them with no response, while I waited for the lady to get return authorization she informed me they emailed me 5 minutes ago. OK. So how do I get refund? She said they send Auth to return and when they receive it they will inspect it at that time and if fake refund money. I was under impression they inspect before selling, Not True. They look at picture of item online. I returned item and received a message saying my money was refunded. I have not checked bank because it was just couple days ago but I will. Just a hassle for me. I told lady I was taking pictures of item which I did in case they changed it from one I received to keep refund. She was a little rude about that.
The scent never went away, even when i left open all night. My husband said it smelled like a chemical to do leather or something. Very strong.
I will not shop this site again.
Hello Maxine,
Thank you for your review. I greatly apologize for the negative experience you had on Tradesy. Tradesy ensures that you will always receive an authentic item, or your money back. We offer a free service to have the buyer send the item in directly to our authenticators so they may take closer look at the item to ensure its authenticity. If you received an inauthentic item, you should have received a full refund back to your original form of payment. If this is not the case, I recommend reaching out to our returns team directly at [email protected].
If there's anything else we can help you with, please contact us at 310.912.7966 Monday-Friday 8:00am- 4:00pm PST. Saturday- Sunday 8:00am- 2:00pm PST or via email at [email protected].
I've made 3 purchases from Tradesy so far and I am going to send the last one back for them to authenticate for me because I think it might be a fake (Chanel bag). My first 2 purchases were great and the items were authentic. When I signed up I read the fine print and it clearly says if it's fake you get a refund if you don't like it you get store credit so I don't understand why some of the reviews are so bad. If they authenticate my 3rd purchase than I will have proof from them and I'm ok with that.
Update:
So Tradesy confirmed that my item was authentic... however I chose the store credit option because I just wasn't happy with the bag's size and the lining having been replaced bothered me. I purchased another bag that is authentic but a little older and I am very pleased with that purchase. I would say that if you are buying something that is a very high priced luxury good it's worth getting it authenticated outside of Tradesy... at least for your own comfort.
I have 2 beautiful Tommy Bahama sweaters that have never been worn. Tags still on them. I saw a commercial for Tradsey & thought it would be a good idea to sell them on there instead of at a consignment shop where I wouldn't get much for them. After taking pictures and such I got to the point where they suggest a sale price. The first sweater cost $168.00, Tradsey suggested I sell it for $51.42! The second sweater cost $118.00, the suggested sale price...$31.00!
I immediately deleted both profiles. Those suggestions are absurd! These are brand new designer sweaters in timeless designs that have never been worn. These people don't know what they are doing.
Oh, and to those people who claim that all the negative reviews are not written by real people... I am a "real" person (as opposed to an unreal person). And it is possible for people to have opinions that do not agree with yours!
Hello Krista,
I greatly apologize for the confusion. The suggested pricing is generated by past listings that have sold on Tradesy. What does this mean for you? It means if you are selling an item that isn't common, or hasn't been sold much on Tradesy, the pricing will most likely not match the approximate retail value of your item. Many members tend to list similar items, such as Louis Vuitton bags, or Christian Louboutin shoes. For your item(s), I would suggest listing them on Tradesy, at your price, and seeing what happens. You are able to set the price of any of the items you are selling, and are able to modify the pricing at any time you would like before the item sells.
Again, I cannot apologize enough for the confusion and the upset you are feeling. I hope this clears things up and you give Tradesy one more shot. Have a great day.
I recently sold an authentic Chloe bag on Tradesy. The buyer was very hesitant to begin with. The day she received it she sent it back and said there was no serial number in the bag and therefore it was not authentic. Tradesy told me what happened and I did not worry at all cause I was 100% sure that it was there when the bag was sold to her. Tradesy then told me that the bag was fake and they were sending it to a third party (which I would love proof of). This is completely impossible. The girl must have got the bag, not liked it and somehow removed the serial number. This was the only way she could get her money back. Then Tradesy doesn't want a bag without a serial number so they just said it was fake which is a complete lie. I have a picture of the tag with the serial number on it that was in the bag when I sold it. However, Tradesy said they have no reason to believe that's it the same bag. I just don't get how this happened. I have been in contact with Chloe and they can't help me without the tag either. I was selling this bag I loved cause I needed the money and now I have a bag I can't sell and I have been totally cheated. It is so disappointing that this is happening to people and now I'm at a loss cause I am not sure how else to prove it. I have been trying to find the receipt and bank statement but it was purchased 4 years ago. Reading the reviews, I am not the only person this kind of stuff is happening to. Please stay away! Tradesy please find a better way to protect the seller. It is a horrible feeling.
I purched a supposed Chanel handbag. It was actually a gift with purchase for buying perfume. It never stated that it was a gwp, they called it a vip bag. I wore it twice, and it broke. I wrote customer service 5 times, and when someone finally got back to me that said it was a final sale. No where was is said that it was a final purchase. Now they won't return any correspondence. These people are nothing but con artists. Do not use this site!
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!
Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600
Answer: I do not shop with tradesy any longer. FAKE prada duffle bag and im done.
Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Best of luck to you!
Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.
Tradesy is the luxury fashion resale marketplace that empowers women to get the designer fashion they crave — on their own terms. We enable millions of customers to sell what's in their closets and fund their next shopping spree. All while saving up to 90% off retail.

Hello Raquel,
I greatly apologize for the situation you encountered on Tradesy. I am unsure as to what information was given to you regarding a canceled order. Generally, if an order is canceled, you will receive a refund back to your original form of payment within 3 business days. There is never a need to have your bank on the line when contacting us over the phone for this process to be completed. I hope this shines a bit of light on the situation. In the event that it doesn't, and you still need assistance, please contact us at 310.912.7966 Monday-Friday 8:00am- 4:00pm PST. Saturday- Sunday 8:00am- 2:00pm PST or via email at [email protected].
