Bag had horrible odor
April 11, 2016

I purchased a Louis Vuitton bag that took 3 weeks to receive and had a horrible odor inside and the seller would not take it back! I would NEVER purchase anything from Tradesy again!

UPDATE TO BELOW: After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Tradesy refunded my $. Persistence pays off!

This online retailer has horrible so-called "authenticators," business practices, and customer care practices. I sold a wedding dress via their site, accurately listed the item and took accurate photographs. In the listing and at the time of sale, I indicated there was a small stain on the dress that the drycleaners could not remove. Even though I warned the buyer about this and to not try to clean the dress herself as it was silk and subject to staining, the buyer indicated she would do so anyway. Although the website clearly states that there are no returns on wedding items, the buyer initiated a return stating that there were undocumented stains on the dress. I immediately contacted Tradesy indicating my suspicion the buyer tried to clean the dress herself and submitted documentation in the form of pictures of my credit card statement documenting the drycleaning as well as correspondence via the Tradesy platform showing the buyer intended to clean the dress herself. I also offered up any additional documentation as needed by Tradesy. No response from Tradesy until it was basically too late and they accepted the return and sent the dress back to me. After numerous email correspondence and hours of wated time on my part they finally offered me nothing more than reimbursing me for the cost of re-drycleaning the dress. Nevermind that they essentially cost me a sale, countless hours of my time, shipping costs of the dress, and a ruined dress that is no longer in the same state as to when shipped to the buyer.

This business is in the illegal trafficking of counterfeit Louis Vuitton handbags. I purchased a "new with tags" Louis Vuitton GM Turenne from Emily Nguyen for $1475. 00 and she sent me a fake bag through the US postal system. I contacted Paypal and opened a case to get their assistance in getting my money back. They told me I had to obtain an authentication report on the bag. Once I had Authenticate First authenticate the bag (came back fake, had to spend $70.00 for report) I went to Tradesy website and looked at the pictures of the listing again. It was obviously the same bag I sent pictures of and it was obviously fake once I knew what to look for. A week later after I worked with PayPal to get my money back and not a "site credit" which Tradesy is famous for trying to pull, I noticed Tradesy removed the pictures from the site and removed the listing from the seller's listing of "sold" items. I believe this is an attempt by Tradesy management to subvert any federal agencies that may open up an investigation. That is OK, I took screen shots of the website and any federal agency would be able to subpoena their records. I am going to contact as many agencies as possible and do what ever I can to assist in the prosecution of the criminal who sold me this fake handbag. She states on Tradesy she owns a nail salon and I went on FB and found her salon and saw the areas where she took pictures of the fake bag she sent me. I hope the government can seize her salon for using it to traffic in illegal goods. If you are the victim of an illegal trafficker on Tradesy, remember the law is on your side and if you call your credit card company or Paypal they can assist you in getting your money back Be careful!

Should be able to rate sellers because I'm dealing with someone who is a complete flake and should not be able to sell! She's had my money for these shoes I purchased since three weeks ago and still hasn't shipped them. Keeps making excuses and now says she cannot find the shoes!
I have purchased several items and cannot believe how often sellers inaccurately describe their items. And you only have three days to initiate a return so if you're out of town for even a day or two, let alone a vacation, you are out of luck and stuck with low quality things that haven't been described accurately or just simply don't fit!

As a seller it's impossible to reach someone to help you if you have an issue, they ignore you and mistreat you. They will also break their contract with you, and make returns past the 4 days the customer has to inspect the item. They are willing to engage in illegal practices, i. E. breaking their seller agreement. Very disappointed.

When i stumbled upon this site i thought wow this is great, and less fee's then most sites... Boy was i wrong, I agree with others that they will refund a buyer without you knowing and without asking if you want your merchandise shipped back to you. And yes they also will not refund returns just a site credit which i had for 4 months now of $ 900 i don't trust anything on this site, so ill let my $ 900 sit until the class action begins... And trust me it will. When you call for anything you feel like your talking to a robot,... One word answers, No empathy, no concerns about you issues. Beware if your selling the turn around time to receive your money is ridiculous From date shipped to funds in your account.

Buyer Beware
March 14, 2016

They will not honor returns if the item you bought is not what was advertised. I sent the item back within the correct amount of time with proof that the item was not what the seller described to me or what was advertised on Tradsey. They refused to return my money. I would never purchase anything from this site again. It is worth the money to pay more for authentic items. This site is known for ripping people off with inauthentic items.

After receiving my ' genuine' Louis Vuitton customer jewellery set of $350, I immediately noticed it was fake. Took it to the LV store and it was confirmed fake. I emailed Shop-Hers twice and received NO REPLY. When you purchase items online that are confirmed 'genuine' and they turn out to be fake, you expect the customer service to respond immediately but as there was no reply, and after reading the comments on this page I have a clearer picture of how many fake items this company sells as 'genuine'. An absolute disgrace.

I ordered a Chanel purse that I wanted to cancel, however, I couldn't cancel my order in time. My item was shipped out so I had to make a return. I read many reviews and was skeptical. So many people had trouble getting a full refund. I made my return and sent an email after I got site credit asking if I can have a full refund. Literally a few hours later, a representative emailed me back saying that she has sent a return appeal to one of the managers and they will get back to me in a few days. Two days later, a manager emailed me stating that as a "one time courtesy", they will give me a full refund. No trouble. No hassles. Just a great company. Maybe their system improved after all the negative reviews, but I am very happy and will purchase more in the future. It was pretty much my fault for not reading the policies first, but I'm glad that they were kind and considerate.

I wish I could give a rating of 0! VERY VERY SHADY BUSINESS! I opened up an account with Tradesy to purchase a Sophia Webster wedge heels and to list a jumpsuit. However, before I could even make my first purchase/transaction, my account was suspended without notice. Not once did I get a courtesy email or any type of advice or detail on how the issue could be resolved or handled. I checked my inbox and spam folder----NOTHING. I called Tradesy and the rep told me that the suspension may have been red flagged because I provided a Virgin Islands shipping address. After I spoke with the representative and vented my frustration about how my account was handled, I opened up another account using a different email address. This time, I used my USA freight forwarding address that I have had with BongoUS for over 3 years now. But yet again, before I even got to make a purchase/transaction, my account was suspended. I am not sure what screening process Tradesy uses to categorize their account holders as "fraudulent" but I must say this has been the most absurd and insulting thing that I have been through as an international shopper. I cannot believe that I am still being classified as fraudulent although I did nothing wrong and provided a USA shipping address the second time. I have not even gotten a chance to use a credit card on the site but yet I am deemed as a potential criminal. All of this because of my international status? Although your site suggests and promotes freight forwarding for international shoppers? This is very contradicting. To add, no one--- not your automated system, department or customer service rep has reached out to me to ask for some form of identification---ID, social security card, proof of address, bank verification, nothing! Absolutely nothing! This is not the way to deal with customers. Your process is very unfriendly. I have an account with EBay, Poshmark, and Aliexpress and have never dealt with anything like this before. Anytime there is an issue with your account, you are notified immediately. VERY VERY SHADY BUSINESS! INTERNATIONAL SHOPPERS ARE NOT THE CAUSE OF YOUR SELLERS' FRAUDULENT ITEMS AND YOUR HORRIBLE RETURN POLICY! THERE ARE SCAM ARTISTS IN THE USA NOT JUST OUTSIDE OF THE USA!

While I am sad to hear the number of negative reviews I have a completely different experience. I have been selling on Tradesy for the past year and have over made over 200 sales to date. I sell new and gently pre-loved items ranging from clothes, purses, shoes, and makeup. While most of my sales have resulted in happy customers I have had a few complaints where either the customer reached out to Tradesy customer service to complain. In my opinion I thought Tradesy's customer service was too lenient allowing someone to return an item that wasn't in like new condition despite it being listed as gently used, having various pictures giving a full accurate picture of the item and full disclosure of the items current description. Another item that was returned was a pair of new shoes in the original box where the customer ordered the shoes and did not realize that the shoes were white (she wanted pink)... While their were inconviences on my end with Tradesy taking the funds back from my account and crediting the funds back to the customer I took it as doing business and just kept it moving. At the end of the day I find Tradesy as a great marketplace that allows people to sell their gently used clothes to the public for free unlike Ebay! If your worried about the quality of the items being real and authentic then perhaps you should stop buying from this site and simply use it for selling your old clothing and stick to the more legit sites for your shopping needs.

Horrible Return Policy!
February 15, 2016

If you happen upon Tradesy keep it moving. The return policy is offensive at best and at worst shady as this site literally holds the purchasers money hostage with terms such as "site credit" which loosely translated means you won't get your money back even if you return the item. Instead, you must purchase something else from this awful knock off retailer who knows nothing of customer service. Do your homework and check the reviews. They all say the same--run do not walk away from this site. They should be reported to the better business bureau!

To update my experience with Tradesy, after a little back and forth I was told that as a one time courtesy, Tradesy will refund my money. They did. However, because it is not a simple return/refund policy, I still recommend that buyers beware.

TRADESY IS SHADY!
February 7, 2016

Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, and unprofessional. The company authenticate first, have their heads where the sun don't shine, some people are foolish enough to pay this company for their crooked advice for authentication, and have been added to the class suit action because they are FAKE.

Tradesy are totally unprofessional, and have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find one word, "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks!

I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class suit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on a site they own. The person who started the class suit action has proof of this.

Ironically, although some items were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic.

I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. STAY AWAY, THEY HAVE A HABIT OF FAILING TO RETURN SELLERS ITEMS. If I was in CA I would pay them a visit accompanied by the sheriff department! FBI need to investigate this Company.

I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!

AS A SEPARATE NOTE, DON'T BE MANIPULATED BY THEIR RESPONSES TO COMPLAINTS ON THIS SITE, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT MAKE ANY CONTACT WITH THE SELLER AT ALL. IT IS A TOTAL LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE ONLY REASON THEY ARE RESPONDING HERE IS TO MAKE IT "APPEAR" LIKE THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL OR CARE. THEY DON'T IT'S A MANIPULATION TACTIC.

THEY ARE PLAYERS. STAY AWAY!

Don't use Tradsey :(
February 4, 2016

I ordered shoes that I have yet to receive, despite selecting a next day shipping option. Their phone systems are down when you call. I'm feeling scammed. You get what you pay for and I should have payed full price. I'm out $100 and don't have anything to show for it and can't get a response from them. Shop elsewhere my friends!

The shoes came! The box was fake and they were the wrong size! Still can't get a hold of tradsey! SCAM!

Fake Tom Ford Sunglasses
January 19, 2016

I want to let future potential customers know that the sunglasses I bought from their vendor SunOptic are fake. Good fakes but still fake (I compared them side by side at Nordstrom). I should have know better but believed Tradesy's claim that merchandise is authentic. Shame on me. Buyer beware.

Absolute knock off
January 19, 2016

I purchased a Marc Jacobs tote as a diaper bag for my daughter. The photo they showed was a tan bag with an attached name tag and signature Marc Jacobs id tag in the center top of the bag. Well when I finally got my purchase 2 weeks later, the bag was olive green, and instead of the signature id plate there was Marc Jacobs screen printed in gold letters. The handles were cheap and cracked, and inside the bag was a cheap screen print with Marc Jacobs all over the inside. NOTHING like the black and white print on the inside of my Marc Jacobs handbag. So disappointed. I thought i was getting a steal when it said new with tags. No tags were attached. Looked like a knock off somebody would sell out of the trunk of their car. I will never purchase from them again.

Steer clear!
January 19, 2016

Tradesy, How dare you keep referring your customers to your return policy when your return policy is fraudulent! THE KARMA POLICE ARE COMING FOR YOU!

Your "house team of authenticators" need to have their vision checked bc they are clearly blind!

I purchased, what I thought was a new handbag only to receive a bag with scuff marks and other defects. Instead of issuing me a refund, Tradesy is claiming these defects don't exist?!?!

I now spent over a thousand dollars for one nightmare and I have a "store credit"? I just want my money back!

Customers, trust your gut and stay far far away from this scam of website! They don't care one bit about customer service and are greedy and shady! If you are not happy with your purchase, you will never see your money again!

Good luck with your phony hocus pocus Tradesy! It's only a matter of time until karma catches up with you.
