I recently sold a Hermes Wallet and a Louis Vuitton bag that were never been used. The buyers returned the items because the items are not suitable for them as per their message sto me. According to Tradesy policy, I sholuld not be responsible for the return as they were as described. However, Tradesy put up with stupid excuses and didn't want to honor the sales and returned the items to me. Besides, the company isn't knowledgeable enough to authenticate all of the items, I sold 2 authentic items that were returned by the buyers because the buyers couldn't fit into them as per their messages to me, however Tradesy didn't honor those two sales and said the items were not authentic. It's very furstrating to sell on Tradesy when I am selling authentic items and Tradesy makes all kind of excuses and not honor the sales.

Below is why I'm no longer able to purchase items from Tradesy. Looks like they did me a favor. If this is how they treat their costumers then they don't need my business. The seller misrepresents their product, I disputed and won. Thanks American Express for your support!

Buyers, make sure you take lots of pics. And notify your credit card company right away! Also notify Tradesy as soon as possible and send their items back to them asap. If not Tradesy will try and keep your money giving you site credit. Tradesy gets upset when your credit card company fights for your rights. (SEE BELOW)

Sorry, but because of a dispute on a previous account we can no longer offer our services to you.

Buyer beware!
June 1, 2016

I bought a pair of Dior shoes that listed the size as 6.5 US in the description. When they arrived, they were a 37.5 EUR. That equates to a 7.0 - 7.5 US so I quickly sent them back within their four day "return" policy and noted that the item had not been accurately described. I received a note stating they would only be giving me site credit because there was one photo whee you could see 37.5 printed on the bottom. The seller MISSTATED the size and now I'm out a deserved $200 refund because I didn't look at every photo with a magnifying glass. I took the seller's word and I got burned by both the seller AND Tradesy. Do not do business with them.

Terrible Site
May 18, 2016

Up to this point, I liked the site a lot... but when I tried to sell more of my high -end items and I proved they were authentic... Tradesy shut my account down. I understand they don't want fake items sold (neither do I, its a shame people do it) but! I provided everything necessary to prove my handbags were authentic and they still cancelled my account!

Don't buy from here or sell... very frustrated!

I will never use tradesy again. Too many fees, was not happy with how long it took for them to release my funds. Then I was charged to even have my funds sent to me. Ridiculous, not happy at all!

Sells fake!
May 12, 2016

I wish I had read reviews 1st. This site absolutely sold me a fake Furla bag! I returned it and now stuck with credit! Why would I want a credit! The bags are overpriced and the sellers use filters. Total scam!

So once upon a time I really liked this site, had pleasant experiences, but not anymore. The past two times I have ordered an item the sellers have cancelled the very next day. I called customer service and the representative could've cared less. I will not be shopping on the site again. And I agree with one of other reviews that the prices are ridiculously overrated. Most of times they want either more than what it cost new or the same. Come on folks it's second hand products!

Ladies, I know it's tempting cause the pricing looks so good and we get sucked in to press PAY. TRUST ME don't do it. Buy from Fashionphile instead.

Tradesy return policy encourages fake/unauthentic merchandise to be sold on the site, by only offering Buyers Tradesy Credit and not refunding Buyers full refund.
I had a bad feeling the minute I pressed Pay. The box came with Asian/Chinese writing on the box I thought oh oh not good so far. The stitching and Quality is definitely a fake. I own 2 other Authentic Chloe's so I immediately compared my bags to this. I requested an RMA and returned to Tradesy within the next day. Mandy M in their returns dept refuses to give me 100% full refund as it states in their website. They keep insisting it's real and only offer Tradesy Credit. Well guess what Tradesy I am not interested in ever buying from you again why would I want a credit. This type of business practice Trust Me you will not be in business for long. Another warning sign, Tradesy does not have Ratings/Reviews for their sellers. Tradesy return policy encourages fake/unauthentic merchandise to be sold on the site, by only offering Buyers Tradesy Credit and not refunding Buyers full money refund. I used AMEX to buy so have already filed a dispute to get my money back.

This is a reply to one or more of the reviewers below.

That's incorrect sorry! The reviewer could not find the item or the seller because Tradesy banned or suspended the user from their site. When a user is banned you can no longer find them on the site. Most buyers do not know what to look for when purchasing a brand item like Louis Vuitton and once they receive the package all they say it's "yay it's a fake" some buyers make it difficult to work with because they read blogs asking them to ask sellers when an item was purchased or how long the seller has had the (let's say) LV bag; thus, setting up a platform for lies. Back to the reason for the review...

Tradesy is very hard on sellers who make the mistake of selling a fake item, they don't want to know for how long you've been with them, they will ban you and hand you over! They are actually the best online site I've seen if you know how and where to make purchases from.
That's why it's important to purchase from Tradesy themselves were they resell returned items that has been authenticated by them (Tradesy closets like Penny Lane, Abbey R) or purchase from sellers that has proof or paperwork of authenticity (for instance, Diamondz or J'adore luxury provides proof of authenticity on all her items, he/she sends a copy with your package, and you are free to ask them again for authentication at anytime after you misplace your copy), that way you know what you are getting upfront because no matter how hard Tradesy is on sellers, there are still bad people everywhere and we as buyers need to be weary about that by trying to protect ourselves.

I once felt cheated when I was issued a site credit for an item I felt was a fake but after studying and researching that particular brand I knew I was wrong and I simply used my site credit to purchase from Diamondz and I was happy at the end.

Sorry, I don't know any of these people, this is just a review of my experience and not affiliated to anyone or user.

I purchased a designer sweater from them only to receive a filthy sweater with human hairs on it that was not the brand I purchased at all. Instead of getting a full credit, they offered me a site credit and said I could re-sell the sweater on their site. Why would they suggest that I return a sweater covered in human hairs? Their customer service department is utterly useless.

I have been selling on Tradesy about 2 years and I never received any complaint from the customers. This is a website where sellers can sell clothes, accessories new and used. In their policy, Tradesy always said knockoff is a big no no. But sometimes, things happened, it is out of control. I just want to say Tradesy is a trust company where you can have a free listing and a small percentage charge. About shipping, it is depend on the sellers, not Tradesy, but if it does, it worth because they have a very nice shipping kit.

I do not believe their bags to be authentic. How can you buy a Chanel bag for $300. Seriously? AND, if you dispute them, doesn't matter, you don't get any money back bc they ignore you when you try to reply after three days. A THREE day return policy! And they never personally view their bags! I think they come from Japan! Go elsewhere!

I thought I was going to actually purchase from this sight. That was until I emailed them and told them about the price that they had on a item. They had the original price at 78.00. This bag never retailed for 78.00. When it was brand new it retailed for 50.00
After I sent tradesy an email and pointed this out she revised the listing and took off the original price.

I also can not get over the cost of their shipping. It is very very expensive. I would be ok if they would just give you a flat rate for shipping but they charge you a high shipping rate per item. When I realized all the above I decided not to buy from tradesy based off of the above and the reviews.

I've been a Tradesy customer for years. I did stop shopping when they changed their format up and started charging shipping. My shipping was more than my purchase at times. They did make some changes and now the price you see is the price you pay. Not as awesome as it used to be FREE SHIPPING, but better enough to come back!

I've had so many issues I'm pulling my closet and transferring to let it go/ posh mark. Not only do they take forever to send out shipping kits, they do not answer emails and phone conversations lead to empty promises. It's the most incompetent and adolescent excuse for a company that j e ever dealt with. Additionally, they line to do whatever they can to avoid giving refunds and payouts, putting all of it on the consumer which is kind of the reason for their cut. So I'm wondering why I bother. It's like buying a house myself and then paying the agent 6%. No thanks.
