I would be addressing this very important issues. Its quite obvious they don't care. We will see how long they stay in business.

As a Seller I have sold many authentic items through tradesy only to have an ignorant "authenticator" deem a single item "inauthentic." The item was completely authentic purchased from a retail store. To add insult to injury tradesy closed my account over this deemed "infraction". I guess they decided my arguing with them about this was against their rules. It seems to me that I was discriminated against as i am a small, personal seller and I don't sell large, expensive items. They are just like Ebay -- they don't want small sellers and this was a way to get rid of a small seller. No problem Greedy Tradesy -- KARMA is always a demon.

By the way I took my "inauthentic" item to the largest retailer in the South and it was completely authentic.

Reviews are misleading
January 29, 2017

My first and so far only purchase on tradesy was less than positive. HOWEVER, It was the seller that chose to de-fraud me, not Tradesy. Tradesy responded to all of my emails and their phone support was impeccable. My issue (not receiving the item because the seller fraudulently sent nothing but air to a wrong address) was not only resolved and money refunded, Tradesy reps were genuinely sympathetic, apologetic and helpful. When I asked what was going to happen to the seller, they told me that the seller has been removed from any access to their site and funds paid to the seller would be billed, collected or otherwise recouped. If you are going to use an online clearing house to purchase items that you couldn't otherwise afford at retail value, you have to know that you are taking on some risk. But to blame Tradesy and their staff, when they are helpful and accurate in responding to disputes, is like blaming the grocery store clerk for buying a loaf of bread that you realize is moldy when you get it home. Consider your tone and delivery when speaking to representatives. I have always found that non confrontational tones and pleasantries will get everyone to a happy resolution.

MEAN CONFUSING PEOPLE
January 22, 2017

Horrible website. Not intuitive at all to use. Says buyer must ship within 10 days of the sale but if thats not possible, they don't say you can just ship whenever you can as long as your seller is ok with it. But this is actually true. So I cancelled some sales knowing i wouldnt be able to ship in time. And now they suspended my account for making too many cancellations but not listening to the explanation. There is no description of the shipping options. They never clearly state that if you choose the option of using your own packaging materials, they will reimburse you for the packaging materials. That is why I never chose that option + envelopes never arrived for over a month and I would lose sales (their fault not mine!) Horrible company for suspending users for unwarranted reasons. Wasted so much time adding perfect descriptions and photos and they suspend my account so now I can't even see them or use them for another website. BIG WASTE OF TIME. UNNECESSARY FRUSTRATION. DONT BOTHER. USE EBAY.

I was scammed
January 21, 2017

I wish I would have read the reviews before buying from Tradesy. I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and after having it for 6 days, I noticed the leather on one of the straps was breaking off. The leather was so worn that it was almost chalky. I then noticed a glue type substance and finally realized someone had tried to super glue the strap. The person never put pictures or talked about the strap doing that. It's now about to break. I quickly emailed Tradesy because that's the only way I could get someone and a day later I'm told it's outside the four day return policy and too bad so sad. They actually told me to relist the item on their idiotic website. I spent hundreds of dollars and they couldn't even tell me sorry. Horrible company.

I paid $200 for a purse Using money I received for xmas. I was so excited for a new purse because mine had been stolen a few months prior and I had been waiting for xmas to get the money for a new one. I never received the purse. I kindly emailed and asked if they could help me locate my purse. They gave me a bs tracking number and said sorry for the delay! I emailed them back with a more aggressive tone as clearly being nice doesn't help. They could care less they already have my money. I am opening a PayPal dispute right now. I have never had a problem with online shopping before. I wish I never spent my money here I honestly cried about the situation as $200 is a lot to me. Do not take the risk and use the site!

I purchased a Kate Spade necklace for my girlfriend for Christmas from this site. It took them over 8 days to ship. I contacted them twice to be certain it would arrive in time for Christmas. Both times I was told it would ship the next day which it didn't. It arrived Dec 22. It was cute but a bit chunky for her style (no dimensions on the listing so I knew it was a risk). She decided it really wouldn't get worn. We agreed I would return it and shop together for something else. I contacted Tradesy within their 4 day (who only allows 4 days for a return?) window. They responded telling me to take the item to a mall 30 miles from my house. When I took it to the mall, the kiosk operators said the return option had expired. No where in the email from Tradesy was there any mention of a date by which I had to return the item. All this took place less that 30 days from the date of the original order and within 15 days of my receiving the item. I contacted Tradesy through their email (no phone number on their web site). They auto-responded but never actually contacted me. I was given their phone number by the kiosk operator at the mall and called them (within their 8am-1pm business hours). They said I had never requested a return. I read them their email. They said I should forward it to the returns department. I have since notified my credit card company and Google (they are a "Google trusted vendor" which apparently means nothing). These folks are either incompetent or crooks and scam-artists. Either way, don't buy anything from them unless you enjoy lousy customer service and being ripped-off.

I've been selling on Tradesy since 2014 and have sold many items since. Tradesy is a good platform for you to clear out your closet and to make good to great money if you are a merchant. The down side is it takes up to a week for your funds to be released and another week for it to transfer into your bank. I've had a couple of returns in the past as it happens from time-to-time. Though I was completely surprised that tradesy went with the customer the second time. They (Laura C.) claimed there was a defect and that it was "gently used" when in the listing I provided numerous clear pictures with tag still attached. Tradesy refunded the money to the buyer and I'm out the shipping cost. Though the monetary value is not something exorbitant, it it the ethics.
The amount of time it took for Tradesy to process a return is a bit on the ridiculous side, not to mention the inventory hold over while the "Member care team" is taking their sweet time.
The reason why I chose Tradesy as a platform because they are not Ebay. Though it seems they are well on your way.

Used Tradesy for the first time a few days ago... what a stupid idea that was. Received the item I ordered today-not what I expected! I will definitely be returning this item & NOT returning to this site & it gets better read they only offer a website credit? Yeah, NO THANKS! Who wants to buy something else again that won't be what I they expected. Tradesy will not be getting my business ever again. Very disappointed with this site.

A few years ago I purchased A Chanel bag at Neiman Marcus In NYC. The bag is an unusual style. More like an hermes style. I listed the bag on Tradesy and my item was purchased by a buyer... Instead of a confirmation email, I received an email with Tradesy with NO explanation asking me for 9 photos of the bag and asking me to send them immediately to resolve my problem! I didn't know I had a problem. I immediately sent them 17 photos of the bag, Knowing with 100% confidence that Neimans didn't sell me a fake bag for $3000. The bottom line is this: Tradesy sent me a two line email saying THEY couldn't authenticate the bag, they were pulling it off their site and canceling the sale.
I then graciously asked them if I could mail them the bag at my expense. Knowing full well it is real. They said "No we can't authenticate the bag!" I am trying to figure out how they took the bag off the site if they wouldn't authenticate. You are not allowed to speak to any of the authenticators on the phone. They are rude and honestly have absolutely no idea what they are doing. I was very surprised and disappointed!
They have reduced their hours, doubled commissions and closed phones on weekends. I wouldn't be surprised if they are going out of business.

I sold many things on Tradesy which were unused luxury goods that someone in my family had received as gifts. All goods were authentic, with tags and dust covers.

So I have a Gucci bag which had never been used, with paper and price tags in it, in impeccable shape. Someone in California took it and said that it had been used, which it had not. She clearly had sent back a similar bag which she had and kept mine.

I kept asking tradesy for the bag back so that I could see what the buyer was talking about. It has been over a month and Tradesy has STILL not sent me the bag. I have written countless time and keep getting BS emails from "Laura C." DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with Tradesy. They are dishonest.

I was reading the reviews some of the angry Tradesy users posted, and I decided to write a real feedback/review about TRADESY.

I am using this company for a year now, selling a bit but most of all buying stuff. The lady which put ON this business was very smart and practical. Tradesy is not only an online site to sell your older/not used clothing, but a site which educates the consumers. It is also a site where one can find real brands on sale for a quarter or half price, which make the whole transaction a bargain for the buyer.

I do not advise anyone to listen to what angry people are writing. It happened to me in the past that I had to return two bags, because simply they were not matching the description... for example one was not leather - the way the seller claimed...

I thank you for reading my post, and happy shopping holidays! Have fun!

Cheers!
