Tradesy generally enjoys a positive reputation among customers, particularly for its user-friendly platform, quality product offerings, and effective communication throughout the buying process. Many users appreciate the variety and affordability of items, often highlighting the meticulous packaging and attention to detail. However, concerns arise regarding inconsistencies in item descriptions, delayed shipping, and customer service issues, particularly regarding returns and authenticity claims. While the majority of experiences are favorable, a segment of customers expresses dissatisfaction with the handling of disputes and the accuracy of listings, indicating a need for improved oversight and support.

I have seen a lot on complaints on their Facebook page, however I do notice that it ended up being deleted/hide the next day or two. So yes, they obviously didn't want other ppl to see their complaints and trying to hide it, only showing good comments or reviews to cover their bad side. For me this is very unprofessional company would do. If they are confident, they wouldn't have to hide. It's should show ALL (good & bad) comments, do ppl can decide if they still want to go for it. But if you just delete the bad and only showing the good or not so bad ones, this is very shady. I wouldn't recommended a shady company like this one!
Tradesy has super low rate here, however they have high rating on trustpillot, ppl are saying they pay for good or fake reviews there, it seems to be true!
Hubby purchased 2 pieces of "18K" jewelry for Valentine's Day. Turns out they were FAKE. No markings or stamps showing 18K and they stuck to a magnet like glue. I email Tradesy photos and video of proof. Trying to contact someone at Tradesy is impossible. No one answers their phone and they do not respond to email. Opened up misrepresentation case, shipped items back and waited for response. In meantime, the seller is now trying to sell the same items on Poshmark, and I am left here feeling scammed and victimized, and out $800.00. Finally get through to "customer service" today, and a very snarky, unsympathetic and condescending girl barely listens to my situation and goes into her whole spiel about how they will test the item and if it turns out to be authentic they will give me a Tradesy site credit? Like I really want to continue to shop here? I dont want a credit, I want better customer service and I want my MONEY back. I then demanded to speak to a manager and she said she would call me back. Of course she didn't, and they are now closed (1PM pacific, who closes at 1PM?) I will NEVER shop here again and I would NEVER recommend. Beware Buyers, you will get horrible customer service and be prepared to fight to get your money back if you receive a horrible/misrepresented/fake item. My next step is to contact my credit card company. My advice is to stick with Posh, Mercari or even Ebay over this shoddy company. And apparently I am not the only one with these same complaints, read the other horrible reviews here about this company.
Shame on Jaclyn Shanfeld, a failed actress turned unethical entrepreneur. Tradesy and/or shophers.com sold me two fake handbags at the cost of used originals. BEWARE! Had both bags tested and turned out to be FAKE.
I have been selling good quality clothes online for about 2 years - trying most sites a few times including Poshmark, Vinted, Tradesy, Facebook, eBay. Tradesy is my least favorite. The seller tools are weak There's no way to engage to get more views, and my least favorite is it takes 2/12 weeks after an item has been received by the buyer for them to release your money - why? Tradesy got their money, the buyer got their item and yet the seller is that last to get paid? Not thanks. I removed the rest of my items for sale. I'll stic with Poshmark.
I listed four Louis Vuitton bags and several articles of clothing. It took forever to take the best photos and add in the information describing condition and details. I sent an email to ask a question... nothting. I sent email for three days straight and they never replied. Then I suddenly saw all of my bags had sold and they disappeared. I thought okay... anytime now they'll send a notification and I'll get the details. Nothing. The bags were "sold" and buyers started asking me when would I ship them. I couldn't contact Tradesy... they never returned an email and the "phones" were always "closed". Most bizarre experience. I still don't know what happened and why they took the bags off the site. I had to tell the buyers I can't ship and I can't get Tradesy to respond to me... in any possible way. After a few more days of not hearing a thing, I took all my listings off. Terrible experience, unprofessional and bizarre. They charge 14.9% plus a 2.9% transfer fee when you ask for your money to DO NOTHING. Go to Fashionphile or Yoogis Closet. At least they will communicate with you and treat you well.
I actually did not read the reviews until after I had ordered so I started to get nervous after I read these. I am so HAPPY with my LV cross body bag. I bought it from Scarlet, she was amazing. She sent me an email right away that she was shipping my purse 2 day priority. I got the shipping # right away and tracked it through USPS. I could not be happier. Communication and bag was exactly what I expected. If I could afford it, I would only buy through Scarlet. I can only say that this site is up to they seller and not Tradesy. All I can say is that I had a great experience for first time buyer. Thank you!
I bought a LV handbag. No issues with authenticity but the hobo bag was for a child which was never mentioned in their description. Filed misrepresentation and they gave me store credit. The issue is the bag is for child like 6 years old or less. I would look very silly using it. I did not see the dimentions. Needless to say that poor customer service will prevent me from going back to their site.
Bought shoes to give as gift. I received the shoes and noticed that the shoes are worn/used and there is damage on the heels. I contacted the vendor and they were very difficult to deal with and I had to get my credit card company involved.
Four days is ridiculous for a return policy especially if you believe that your traders can sell inauthentic items. There should be a different policy for those. Bad experience with you guys, will never buy from you again and will defer any of my friends from buying from you.
This company is as dishonest as they come! Lucky for me, my purchases have been fairly small. I was sold a pair of broken and filthy Marc Jacob sunglasses. I put them in the mail the very next day with the so called "free return label" I was confident that I did everything according to Tradesy's return policy. Boy, was I ever surprised! They said I didn't return the item within 4 days! They tell you returns are free so that your item won't get to them within that 4 day period because ground mail takes forever. How sad. Have fun rotting in hell "Trashey"I mean "Tradesy".
It relies on seller to be honest about their product and if that is the case then they should allow you to return and get your money back. It's a win win for Tradesy because they return the item back to the seller who could relist it and the buyer gets store credit so they never lose. I don't think that is fair to the buyer who may not want anything else and is stuck with a credit.
As a seller the fees went up but it still is less than most consignment shops. They hold on to your money for 4 days which protects the buyer if you register with them if not they will keep your money much longer. I've sold over $12,000. In items and purchased $5000. In items with 1 issue that I returned.
I've purchased several handbags and wallets and was very pleased. All designer handbags were confirmed with true authenticity. The fees for selling are disturbing but that's business.
Every potential buyer should be aware that once you purchase anything on trades, it is yours forever,. The only return policy in place is a trafdedsy credit, so they hold onto your money until you find something else. They say you can get a refund for misrepresentation by a seller or if the item is not as described by the sellerr or damaged; good luck... i found their customer service to be anything but helpful. Even though an item i received was clearly not what was represented, they refused to process a refund. For previously owned clothes, stick with ebay
I have been selling on Tradsey 2 years. At first it was GREAT! They paid me quickly and the commision they took fair.
I am one of the Sellers that sells 100% Authentic items, I confirm pack and ship the same day I get an order. ITs packed the way I want to receive when I order.
I provide Documentation of photos, receipts, registration cards and original tags.
A few months ago Tradsey got GREEDY. Their commison went up 7% while still charging 3% as a penalty for taking out MY money. Thats why I sell! And to buy more merchandise. ALSO another penalty. Even though I have NO comebacks, NO issues with anything, and I might add Tradssey made alot of money off me.
They now hold seller funds up to 2 weeks! Really! Thats how you treat the sellers who make money for Tradsey!
I will be leaving Tradsey soon. All the work ive put into my listing will be lost... but I cannot tolerate Tradsey treating me like gum under their shoe any longer.
I never get any credit from these people on doing a good job.
Glad I never left EBAY totally... and the buyers and sellers I brought over to Tradsey, they are all leaving too...
Good job Tradsey.
Hope youre happy...
If you see a tag of the item and are shipped an item with a different tag wouldn't you think there might be an issue? Then you write the company and no response. Never again. This is poor excuse for an operation. The investors should be ashamed.
I ordered two things and both were designer and in the exact condition that was mentioned in the listing. I have just read so many negative reviews that I am somewhat afraid to make my 3rd purchase.
For all it is worth, the two purchases that I have made thus far are original designers. I contemplated returning one item and my response was answered right away. I even received an email asking if I was still returning after several days of not placing the items in the mail. I am sorry for all the negative experiences that everyone has had on Tradsey - but mine has been GRRRRREAT, I just worry should I push my luck?
I am a jewelry seller and fairly new to this site.So far everything has been great experiences and wonderful coustomers! I have been reading some of the reviews and I see a lot of unhappy ppl I am so sorry that some of you have experienced bad sellers on here I try to be as honest as possible about my jewelry and refuse to sell junk when someone orders something from me i really want them to be happy with their order. I just hate that ppl get on here and mess ppl up where they don't trust the good ppl that are selling on here we are out there. I don't have big fancy experience things but I do have pretty things and so does many other ppl we're not all bad I would never hurt someone that's buying from me! I'm so sorry for the bad ones on here and for the ppl that's been hurt but I promise I'm a good seller and so far I love my coustomers and this site@ fantastic kays
I was sold a fake Wallet I should of known then not to shop with this company. I stupidly purchased a second item. I had a death in my family and had to leave the country when I returned I opened the item only to find out it couldn't fit me. The company only gives you 4 days to submit the return I return on day number 5 and I call to see if as a courtesy they would grant me a A return because of the circumstances that was way beyond my control and seeing the fact that I still continue to shop here even though I was sold a fake item you would think the would care. But the answer was no because I was one day late. So now not only did I lose my money I'm now stuck with an item that cannot fit me. Such horrible customer service!. I will no longer be shopping with this company.
Never buying anything afre reading reviews, you guys sell fake/worn bull$#*! stop trying to scam people mother$#*!ers
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!
Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600
Answer: I do not shop with tradesy any longer. FAKE prada duffle bag and im done.
Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Best of luck to you!
Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.
