I cannot believe on how sneaky their initial set up is. I went with the special $49 fee, they added so many extras without a total approved and my bank account went crazy and alerted me on a total of 6 transactions totaling at $1,125. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE to take advantage of the consumer in such way. I've tried reaching out and no call back, always busy and the wait is so long that an automated answering machine picks up with the same message to leave a name, callback number and the reason. Been 3 days and no call back. DON'T USE THIS SERVICE, it's an absolute SHAM!
This is a total sham. I filed a copyright last February and a trademark 2 months ago and never received anything for either + they refuse to give any sort of refund.
I received absolutely NOTHING.
Horrible experience. & customer service is not helpful at all.
I've seen a lot of reviews with similar experiences. Don't waste your time & money.
These guys took my money and never delivered on what they promised. Months later I'm out a few hundred dollars & still don't have my trademark. As an added bonus they tried to charge me another $175 today. Thankfully my bank issued a fraud alert and blocked the charge. Stay FAR away from these people.
Trademark Engine Scammed me out of over 1k; application fees, monitoring fees and office action fees with failed results. Only for Leeland to tell me start over and pay all over again. This company is a SCAM! Leeland is rude and Samantha is a scammer. The best thing to do is to secure an attorney out the gate. If any discrepancies come about you will already have legal counsel. Don't waste your time with a 3rd party unless you have a licensed attorney.
Do not use this company! Their customer service is absolutely terrible. They market to check and review the trademark you are trying to file prior to submission. My trademark came back with an error that could've been a simple fix. When I requested to adjust it, they had the audacity to tell me it was not their responsibility and that it would be an extra fee over $100. When I contact the head of their customer service he stated they are similar to Turbo Tax but they don't operate like Turbo Tax. LOL in other words they do the filing but they clean their hands of anything. You have better luck filing your trademark on your own. He would not provide me with corporate because "no such thing exists" because they are a small company. Instead of truly trying to help me he simply was more interested in arguing then when I requested his name and info to reference he then argued that I just didn't want to hear his solution. I don't understand the point in charging consumers to file information if you're not going to assist and see through that it is done correctly. I understand not being attorneys or legalities but a filing error should be fixed since they are the ones filing!
I'm trying to start a consulting business, but I'm not loaded with money, just knowledge and a talented team and we'd like to at least secure our name and imagery. I'm sure your actual services are great, obviously you have five star reviews everywhere.
However, I'm extremely unimpressed with the Dark Patterns used on your website (https://www.darkpatterns.org/types-of-dark-pattern/sneak-into-basket). I know it's not a full "sneak into basket" dark pattern, but it's similar because I didn't see any mention of the additional federal charges to come at least mentioned in my basket -- I reviewed my purchase for $69.00 (Trademark Reg), $59.00 (Certified Copy add-on), and $99 (Statement of Use add-on) and expected those to be my final totals. Three days later, I got 3x charges of 350 (explanations in billing records) + an additional 59 (no explanation) and 69 dollar charge (no explanation). When I spoke to customer service, they explained there is a note that says the government will also charge 350 per item -- I missed this and I'll take the blame for that, but I didn't see it in plain sight either. Not all end users are slow paced. When I suddenly get a message from my credit card company saying a "purchase was declined for 350" I become very upset. Most end users are in a hurry because they don't want to spend a lot of time on a website to buy a product, so make sure these charges are visible at the end, even if they won't be charged today.
My other complaint is how you handle the add-ons. I recall there was no way to "go back" or "undo" after selecting an addon, you just had to keep going through until you finished. I view this as a dark pattern as well and it takes advantage of users without giving them an option to immediately undo their choice, instead they have to wait to get to the cart. Or maybe it is there, but extremely hard to find... which is the point of a dark pattern.
I'll use Trademark Engine when some of these UX designs and content are updated. You do have a solid service, but terrible UX design choices destroy a good product.
Customer service is excellent, I will say that 5/5. But you get an instant 0/5 (1/5 in this case) if there is even a hint of bad UX design in your digital product.
One year later, no trademark. Just asking for more money to correct more of their filing mistakes. I'm going with an attorney this time.
Absolutely terrible company. I've been charged double what I put an order in for, and on top of that, I purchased "expedited process" to get it faster, and still haven't seen anything in 2 weeks!
Have made multiple attempts to contact the company, but they're MIA. Stay far away!
I filed for the $69 trademark package. I entered my credit card and was literally charged before I clicked the button to continue. Then I talked to support about it and they said they could not cancel it because they do not cancel orders. They said I placed the order and there is nothing they can do. Then, today I simultaneously received three emails. One from Trademark Engine saying that I needed to pay a fee of $350 to move forward, then one from my bank saying that there were $350 in fraudulent charges on my debit card so they were canceling it, and another one from trademark engine saying that my payment had been declined for $350. I am being told that I agreed repeatedly to pay $69 and an additional $350. I didn't. I got an email with a white background and white text. This I where I'm told I "agreed" to the terms. How am I supposed to read that, and why are you so shady? I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone.
If you can't put the customer first, then you shouldn't be in business!
This broke my heart- I had been a customer for a long time with successful orders. I realized two of my files are on hold :( Requested a refund, which was mostly declined.
Jay, the supervisor, told me nothing was done on the file yet; they are holding my money! Like really. Who doesn't work and get paid? Does the company have employee's not working but getting paid?
This is a business strategy to hold funds and promise credit. "Keeping people as a customer by force." People who offer great service are not afraid to refund because they have a pool.
Customers should have the right to ask for a refund if they don't want an undone service, or the company should refund transactions they can't do and not just relax on the money.
How about an email "warning" I'll not get a refund before the time elapses?
This is not putting the customer first rather than staying low and waiting for the customer's late response to the refund.
They have you sign electronically to agree to give them the power to hold funds which they didn't work for..."Blood Money"
Well behave of business register which is nice of meeting you ti solve my problem thank https://trademarkfunnel.com/trademark-registration
Additional unauthorized charge of banking card after initial payment.

If I could give zero stars I would. They took my money 4 months ago and haven't did a thing for me. Not answering my emails, the phone hangs up Everytime I try to call their customer service. Super frustrating I work hard for my money and it's already a hard time during COVID I can't just throw money in the garbage. Super discouraging.
Trade Mark Indian (Engin) TME screwed up my filing due to a revolving door of employees at their so called business. TME missed the fact that I wanted to trademark my logo art which included my business name.
These misguided bozos took my money & filing fee upfront and I lost over $300.00 dollars.
Consumers beware! TME claims to be a specialist; but their mistakes may have cost me a chance to
Fully register my logo trademark of many years! I am completely disgusted with the fact that they would not
Provide a make good on their mistakes; and too many employees trying to play "office!" Contact all local
Media and have they investigated now!
Signed / Pissed off Customer!
DO NOT USE this company. My company filed for a trademark over a year ago and PAID. No one will answer my many emails as to what happened nor will they get back to me about a refund. What a scam! I'd give it 0 stars if that was an option.
I registered for a Trademark expedited service a month ago. The rep keep sending me 4 questions to answer, I answered them over and over again. I finally called and she said she never received answers in the email. She said she received the emails but no answers. I had them in my sent folder, and had no problem seeing the answers. I waited one month and got nothing done. The customer service rep had no interest in helping me. She refunded the expedited process, but why not actually do the job?
The USPTO is a better way to go through the process. This company bilks individuals out of their hard earned money. What a crock of poop.
Trademark Engine provides "information and software only." Trademark Engine "is NOT a lawyer referral service and does NOT provide legal advice or participate in any legal representation" Their customer service representatives are NOT there to assist you, and they may NOT provide any legal advice to you." What a bunch of bunk!
An overall smooth and clean process with them.
But should you need to talk to someone, you can forget it.
No one returns a call. While I was in middle of the application process, I tried to get a quick answer on some questions, their chat is bots, and the live ppl their can simply not answer your questions.
Left them several voicemails, but my call was never returned.
After waiting for 20 minutes on hold (with a countdown of 9-8-7 ppl in the queue before me...), I reached the message that no one is available, I left a message, but of course, no one ever returned my call.
(and btw, terribly annoying and loud hold-music, but try to lower your phone volume, you'll not hear when someone picks up, annoying is an understatement, don't believe me, try it for yourself...).
Yes, they have a cheap price, but pay a few dollars more and enjoy a respectful customer service experience.
Terrible experience - filed two trademarks with them - multiple categories and about $1500 in fees in total. They were the primary correspondent for the USPTO and they didn't pass on communication thus the applications were abandoned. When I wrote to them asking for them to compensate me or submit and pay on behalf of their mistake, they refused. Do not use them, save yourself time and money and find a reputable company!
For $69.00 I thought, "Why not see if a name is available for my ideas?" Then 3 days later, they charge my credit card an additional $275.00! I never approved of this charge and was not aware of it. Wish me luck as I try to get it back, Buyer seriously beware!
Answer: For my first Trademark, I was recommended to use Trademark Engine. That was a big mistake. The site doesn't do any extra work. YOU essentially are entering the EXACT fields that are required on the actual USPTO website and then they simply copy and paste all the fields on the USPTO website for you. I am NOT kidding - you can literally go and check both sites. You are paying $99 to Trademark Engine for just doing this. Oh and BTW, their nonsense about 'Researching to see if the TM is taken" is literally a 5 second job on the USPTO website. You just need to enter the Trademark term that you want in the search box (TEAS) and see if it has been taken. They make it sound like it is something massive. Besides this, they actually had the nerve to over-charge me. So they charged their fee and they charged me $275 to file with the USPTO (the USPTO filing fee). It was only later, when the USPTO sent me the email confirmation, did I realize that the actual cost was only $225 - so they happily charged me $50 extra. These people are scam artists and they refuse to talk to me about this or answer emails. I have filed a dispute now with my card (who told me that they will get the refund soon). Stay away from this company and file yourself.
Answer: They keep charging you for a subscription you do not sign up for.
Answer: My first dream business has turned into a nightmare. It feels like someone else is just making money off of whoever enters that hook without actually helping business owners who are looking to create a unique brand. The trademark registration process is misleading, and it seems like they are taking advantage of people. Many people don't understand how the process works and end up paying a lot without any guarantee of approval. I am one of the people who now need to cancel the whole position, and it is bitter business now.
Answer: No, i got scammed here. This whole operation is a scam.
