Understand that Trademark Engine is just a service that fills out the forms you can do yourself. Afterwards, you'll still have to pay the government fees for getting the actual registration if your trademark. Could not believe that the $700+ spent did not apply to the actual trademark.
You might as well throw your paperwork into the wind and just hope it gets executed properly. The tech makes you feel like you are in a Flintstones episode.
Trade Mark engine is like one of the worst used car dealerships you've ever been to.
They literally will nickel and dime you to death. Just when you think you got the final price and your set I looked at my PayPal account and they charged me a second charge. Additionally of 350 bucks.
Then you gotta jump through tons of hoops, just to get any money back and you won't get it all. Steer clear of the Dog and pony show going on in Houston at trademark engine!
Our company has had the worst experience with Trademark Engine. I have used them for 4 names and they do nothing to help you get the approval for them. Out of the 4 names I got one partly approved and I have had to pay $6,200.28 over the past year for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. They have ZERO followup. If you miss one email they make you start all over again! FRAUD
Don't trust them. They tried to hide some subscription for $200/yr on my bill, and then a day later I got charged for another fee that they didn't make clear, which was $350. This company is deceptive.
It is a long story but basically, if you are looking to trademark you business, do not waste your time and money here. They charge you for things that you can do very easily yourself, for free, but disguise the service as something different. They make it too hard to cancel. They hide billing dates to get you with the "sorry, you have cancel within three days" rhetoric.
Save your self the headache, lack of results, and dishonestly and get yourself a real lawyer. I could not be more disappointed in their service.
Ann was able to complete the last (hopefully) leg (at this point) that Mae had brought me up to. Mae was sympathetic with my frustrations regarding follow through. There were questions regarding the acceptability of the digital image on file. When I pressed Ann about plowing forward (with information provided by another TME staffer yesterday), she filed the updated scaled down version that USPTO continues to seek. Although I am still not receiving e-mailed invoices, she worked around it to my satisfaction.
Frankly, every person I've contacted at TME since 2022 seems to have been genuinely interested in assisting me as best they could (and patiently).
This company is a scam. They take your order but then try to get more and more out of you to to do what you originally ordred, and they dont ever file your trademarked. I was charged over$1300 to place an order for a trademark that was supposed to be $350. After sorting out how they double charged me, i had paid them close to $800 for my order, including extra for same day processing. Two weeks late i get an email saying my order was put on hold "per my request" which i did not do. There was nothing on my order in their portal stating any action needed, or any moneys due. When i called the rep was clearly stuttering and trying to lie and said oh it looks like you need to pay us an additional $350. Nowhere in the portal did it say that, so it dawned on me that this place was just trying to scam people out of money when they called back, a quick internet search proved they had scammed thousands of other people. So after asking her some questions to confirm it was obvious they were a scam company and i demanded a refund. They refunded some but are fighting to keep $99
Their system is not user friendly. There represents refuse to help even when errors made could have been avoided if their system was better. They simply have fields you feel out and charge you for that. Not worth it at all. I paid for several services and they wouldn't show in my plan. Then when I paid for assistance with the office action request they were equally unhelpful. Save yourself time and use legal zoom or a lawyer who specializes in trademarks.
BE CAREFUL OF THIS COMPANY! THEYCARE SCAM ARTISTS! They will REPEATEDLY vhsrge your account for various bogus charges, and keep doing so firvhundreds, if not thousands of dollars! BEWARE!
SCAM! If I could give negative scores I would! Go check BBB for yourself. "F" Rating, don't do what I did and trust this company! Do not waste your money or your time. Any good reviews I am convinced are either fake or family members and friends and maybe a couple of lucky changes! Do your Homework! They do not do what they say they will and their guarantee is a lie. There will be more of these tomorrow. Stay tuned. I will be updating this daily to ensure others don't have to go through this! One of multiple charges!
They are a horrible people to work with. I was so careful with my fees I paid and refusing many many others they tried, YET, the very next day my $49 plus $125 for the certificate was became an additional $350 within hours. I called and rechecked things and they DO trick you. They just need your card number and some of the wording as "no" are tricks saying you "don't want to cancel"...stay away stay away stay away. Horrible dishonest company.
Beware of Trademark Engine as it can be a scam if you're not cautious. When LegalZoom couldn't assist me with filing my first trademark in June 2022 (I actually like LZ but there was a conflict of interest), I turned to Trademark Engine. However, my experience with them was far from satisfactory. During the registration process, they automatically enrolled me in their Trademark Monitoring service, even though I didn't have any trademarks to monitor at that time. They charged me $175 per quarter for this service, and despite my numerous attempts to cancel and request a refund via email, chat, and phone, I received zero response. Every time I called, they promised that someone from the billing department would contact me to cancel the service and provide a refund, but to no avail. This frustrating back-and-forth continued until July of this year. Fed up with the situation, I finally resorted to threatening them via email, stating that I would share my negative experience online. Only then did a billing representative reach out and offer to refund the most recent quarter, but insisted that the remaining $700 for the services rendered was non-refundable. Essentially, I was charged for a service that I had absolutely no use for and was left feeling ripped off because they failed to respond to my refund requests. If you're considering filing a trademark, I highly recommend going through LegalZoom or an attorney. Not only will the cost be similar or even lower, but they also provide a reliable refund policy.
First I purchase the basic package then never got a confirmation but they charged my account then I call support and they wanted to charge e $300 so I said no thank you I want a refund. They then said refunds are nonrefundable. They will TAKE YOUR MONEY AND KEEP CHARGING YOU NO REFUNDS TOO! BEWAREEEE
I strongly do not recommend this company! I was charged $1,000, after 3 weeks my application was not even sent, calls and mail were not answered, there is simply no feedback. When I'm asked to get my money back, they're just silent! I lost time, and the money was never returned to me, avoid this fraud!
Results are superficial and incomplete. They failed to find many federal pending marks which isn't a surprise because they don't ask you for the Class under which your search should be run. How can you run a trademark search if they don't ask you what Class the services or goods relate to?
STAY AWAY!
Quoted me $99 and i saw charges of $99, $49, $99, $350 and $199 on credit card. Stay away. They would say one thing and do other. Not able to reach customer support.
I was billed $199 for a service I specifically opted out of. Additionally, there's no option for me to delete my payment details or unsubscribe from the undisclosed services they automatically enroll you in when using their service. I strongly advise avoiding them. Their customer service is extremely poor as they simply repeat the same information instead of providing assistance, despite being fully aware of their deceptive practices. I'm not the only one who has raised concerns about this fraudulent charge.
They automatically charged me for the addons, that I haven't subscribed for. Contacting them on phone is a horrible experience. I don't know if they are a SCAM or LEGIT. Either way, not good.
Once I realized they were charging me every month, I simply wanted to close my account with them. I scraped the entire site for a way to cancel and found nothing! Then I tried calling their number only to be told that I had the wrong department. After being transferred to the proper dept, I found the hold time exceeded 2 hours! I decided to go with a virtual callback, and never got one the entire day. I sent an email with my request, and again I was referred to their customer service number. You see the Hell I'm living in? Don't be like me, do some research and handle your trademark on your own as much as possible. (edit: this thing should allow for 0 stars, because that's what Trademark Engine deserves)
Answer: For my first Trademark, I was recommended to use Trademark Engine. That was a big mistake. The site doesn't do any extra work. YOU essentially are entering the EXACT fields that are required on the actual USPTO website and then they simply copy and paste all the fields on the USPTO website for you. I am NOT kidding - you can literally go and check both sites. You are paying $99 to Trademark Engine for just doing this. Oh and BTW, their nonsense about 'Researching to see if the TM is taken" is literally a 5 second job on the USPTO website. You just need to enter the Trademark term that you want in the search box (TEAS) and see if it has been taken. They make it sound like it is something massive. Besides this, they actually had the nerve to over-charge me. So they charged their fee and they charged me $275 to file with the USPTO (the USPTO filing fee). It was only later, when the USPTO sent me the email confirmation, did I realize that the actual cost was only $225 - so they happily charged me $50 extra. These people are scam artists and they refuse to talk to me about this or answer emails. I have filed a dispute now with my card (who told me that they will get the refund soon). Stay away from this company and file yourself.
Answer: They keep charging you for a subscription you do not sign up for.
Answer: My first dream business has turned into a nightmare. It feels like someone else is just making money off of whoever enters that hook without actually helping business owners who are looking to create a unique brand. The trademark registration process is misleading, and it seems like they are taking advantage of people. Many people don't understand how the process works and end up paying a lot without any guarantee of approval. I am one of the people who now need to cancel the whole position, and it is bitter business now.
Answer: No, i got scammed here. This whole operation is a scam.
