Received a flash offer on watches that I went ahead to purchase, not realizing that Touch of Modern has no physical inventory, unlike other stores. They take your money and then provide a ship date some weeks out. I doubt if the watches are authentic I tried emailing them to cancel my order because it hasn't shipped. All other watch sites will offer to cancel orders before they are shipped and they don't charge your credit card until the item ships. I failed to check ratings on this company before dealing with them. I will dispute the charge with my credit card company.
Update:. I corresponded via email with them and received a response from a supervisor. My initial email pointed out that I didn't really have a contract to purchase with then since I hadn't received goods or services for payments they had accepted. The basic business law contract legal definition got someone's attention and they promptly refunded my money.
I guess I am old fashioned but I'll never deal with a company that won't stand behind the products they sell
I shopped at Touch of Modern several times and some things were good, some not so good. Any who, I ordered something for Christmas and have not received it yet. I called no answer, they want you to email. It was not a problem of them answering all through the holidays. I emailed them they stated there is no refunds. The item is on the way. In the last email they stated Jan 15th They refuse to give me my money back and now we have a problem.
Purchased on 12/16/21 still no product, still no shipping date and refund denied by company. Filed BBB complaint and awaiting results from that complaint. Their customer support sucks and they have no telephone number to call - only email
All of us should become rich by creating a site to outright rob consumers because no one protects us and these foreign entities get away with murder... never ever ever use tomo you have been warned! They will send you total junk and there is zero customer service. BOYCOTT TOMO.
I've been purchasing select items from TOMO since 2014 consistently. I've always liked the unique items and in many cases the good prices. But the customer service at TOMO isn't what it used to be. This past year, they failed to deliver items on time multiple times, especially around the holidays. I even had an ordered cancelled weeks later stating the supplier couldn't fulfill. An item that was two months late and hadn't shipped and was for Christmas specifically (decorations) didn't arrive in time for the holiday. I called them and requested a cancellation and refund. They refused stating all sales are final. I pointed out their ad said this was for Christmas and it wasn't going to make it in time and that they stated it would ship with 2 weeks of order which had been more than a month earlier. Again stated they failed to deliver on time and should refund my money. They refused. Three other items ordered weeks before Christmas stating they would ship within 2 weeks still haven't shipped and Valentines day is 11 days away. Anytime you reach out to them for an update they use a templated response. Last time i emailed about the above mentioned items, they never responded to me but had the nerve to send me a survey asking how they did. They got a zero as I pointed out they never even attempted to help me. I will no longer be buying from TOMO once my last items arrive. They are losing an 8 year customer who has spent tens of thousands with them simply because their staff is lazy and doesn't want to provide good customer service. In the early days when they made a mistake or couldn't deliver they issued a credit of $10 or $20 to make up for it. Now they just ignore you. Here's a tip. See an item you like? Google it and find it elsewhere often for the same price or cheaper. Ive done it several times.
THE DESK I PURCHASED HAD 27 PIECES AND 118 SCREWS AND NAILS.IT WAS NOT WOOD BUT PARTICLE BOARD.IT TOOK 2 PEOPLE 5 HOURS TO PUT TOGETHER. INSTRUCTIONS WERE TERRIBLE. PLUS IT WAS OVER 400.00 DOLLARS. BEWARE.
I bought a jacket in mid October they billed me and of October with a 2 to 3 weeks delivery it took 2 1/2' months to delivery. I returned it the next day it took 2 weeks to get back as the use the cheapest way too return. They have the worst customer service only emails no live person even though they told me someone would call they never did. They hide behind emails. They want to give me a store credit instead of returning my money to my credit card which is what I want ad I would never buy anything from them again.DO NOT BUY FROM THIS FIRM!
I made a purchase with ToMo recently, and they promised the shipment in 2-3 weeks. One month later nothing was shipped nor did they send any update or explanation. After I contacted their support, they said it was the vendor's fault and they could not provide any ETA. I asked then to cancel the order and send me money back – which they refused saying the "order was final". I explained to them that they are in violation of FTC rules and that I did not approve any delays and want me refund, which they simply ignored and then kept saying me automated responses that the sale is final. I had to contact my credit card company and dispute the charge to get my money back. Will never buy from these guys, it's clearly a scam.
Horrible customer service, they don't want to talk to you, the only communication is threw email then when you ask a question you get automated emails. Monday 1/10/22 I received a text from FedEx delivery stating my package is delivered at front door I open door nothing walk down three flights to see if package was left in lobby still nothing. I had to take a lost of 168 dollars because the company don't believe I never received that package and according to FedEx website after they deliver its no longer there problem. I ask my superintendent of the building to take a look at the cameras and let me know if FedEx delivered packages today at 10:28am. When I got the call back from superintendent he said no delivery today he didn't see FedEx delivery in the building. If touch of modern gave me a refund I would of ordered the same three products but change shipping address. Nobody cares.
Very Very poor. They gave a seven day return policy at christmas. They sent my complaint up the ladder and I was told it was 9 days. I contacted them on the tenth day.
I will never shop on thi site again. I only gave them one star because I had to...
Find something you like search for it somewhere else or you might not ever get it or it will take weeks
I initially gave them a single star review and am now editing it because they are refunding me my cost for a single item that came and did not work. To get to this point I literally told them they can deal with my credit card and the Secretary of State of MA (Bill Galvin) for their methods of not giving refunds with faulty products or replacing them. I will edit again when I get the refund
4 weeks to ship a men's jacket. I reliably wear a 2-3xl but ordered a 4xl after looking at the sizes in their size chart. The jacket finally arrived and is marked 4xl but actually a Med-large. They wont let me return it since it was a sale item, so I am out $82. I've never seen such a disparity in listed size in an garment I've ever bought.
I've bought a good number of things from Touch of Modern. Recently however, their marketing has become more and more deceptive. I have bought items and found the description complete fiction. Pictures that are clearly altered. For example, I recently purchased the "Decobeam RGB Desk Lamp" and the item reality is that it is a cheap facsimile to the lamps in the pictures on their website. The website shows a black tower with solid lines of diffused RGB light strips with multi color options. The reality is a cheap clear plastic tower with black paint, no RGB strips just a few LEDs at the bottom of the tower that light the tower in one color. It is barely even a facsimile of what is marketed. They advertise "instructions included" and it is one sheet of paper with two sentences, neither of which are accurate or work. No product support website address. Not even a manufactures or supplier name provided.
This has been a trend of Touch of Modern I have noticed. I've opted out of their marketing efforts, though I doubt they discontinue sending me emails.
Touch of Modern has recently removed from their website any ability of users/customers to provide reviews of the products they sell. It is clearly evident why they made this decision. The company is clearly shifting to a business model of deceiving and scamming their customers.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Almost none. They wont talk to you on the phone and there email support is horrendous. There shoe return polcy is 7 days, which is the least customer friendly i have ever heard. Thank god there is amazon, macey and Zappost, etc, etc/ who believe in there products that you are not forced into a limited trial time. I should have checked there reviews before i bought. THere fancy website and advertising is alluring and i learned my lesson
I really wish that I read all these reviews before ordering from TOM. I ordered an arcade in the beginning of November and still have not received it and it is now almost Christmas. I keep getting the run around from Customer Service which by the way is a JOKE. They use preset templates and never actually resolve your issue. I did not know this was a Third-Party company that gets it's products from other merchants that are probably located in China. Trying to reach someone is almost impossible. They tried to give me a $25 dollar credit and I told them I was not interested because I would not be purchasing anything else from this site. Just give me what I ordered and I will be done!
I purchased a watch as a gift. The recipient was unhappy with it. I asked about returning the watch for "store credit". The response was that it was a "sale item not eligible for return" - typical 'company policy' garbage! I now have a $400 dust collector!
I will NEVER purchase anything from this scam site!

Wish I had never heard of this bogus outfit. Ordered a birthday present for my son over 3 weeks ago. Hasn't been shipped yet. Will he ever get it? Who knows?
My package arrived while I was out of town and when I opened it and tried on the leather coat, it was at least 2 sizes too small, even though I had ordered it 2 sizes larger than I typically wear with US sizing. When I contacted "customer support" I was told that I'm a couple of days too late to return the item and that there's nothing they will do to accommodate my request to return for credit. I've been a customer of Touch of Modern for several years, but this lack of service has ruined my opinion of this scam they call a business.
Answer: I've used Touch of Modern several times a year over the last 5 or more years. Recently, they have become a scam. I won't consider them again. Product quality has plummeted and the marketing has become often deceptive. They have removed customer reviews from their website. All consistent with their new found focus to deceive, grift and scam.
