My writer was amazing and very accommodating! He carefully crafted my resume and was quick to reply to my emails regarding revisions.

I've never used a resume writing service but my experience with Top Resume will keep me as a customer. The writer's were easy to communicate with and very quick to respond. The customer service representatives were very helpful in my situation: giving me step by step instructions as there wasn't an option (package on website) covering my request. I was very pleased with the outcome.

The resume looks updated, however, I have a hunch that it was created partially with chatgpt. It seems somewhat robotic and lacks personality. However, if it actually lands me interviews- I suppose I will eat my words. We shall see.

I bought the resume and cover letter package for $219.

Before buying the package, and looking at the advertisements from Topresume, I was confident that they will assign me someone who is knowledgeable in my field and knows what hiring managers are looking for.

I was expecting insights, feedback and modifications to my resume that would solve some of the issues in my resume.

What I received was shortening of my resume, restructuring with long paragraphs and using language which has fancy words but really no substance to it.

It's very evident that the consultant has no insight or experience of working with hiring managers in my field. Still, I was OK to work with her further and give her feedback on what needs to be changed.

Conveying this and having her instant feedback on a phone call would have been great, but apparently, I can't call unless I pay them $50 more for a phone call to work with the same consultant consultant.
Isn't that a rip-off?

I don't think the consultant is in the US, the reply I received from them is not instant and takes more than 10-12 hours to receive a reply.

What's the point of hiring a resume consultant, if the experts are not even working in the same job market and country.

I called their customer service to get a refund as I was highly dissatisfied with service. After explaining all of the above, the customer care representative was not helpful at all and kept saying to me he will submit with refund request, but the managers will most likely reject it. I just hung up on him, as I did not feel like wasting anymore of my time on this.

I definitely do not recommend their service. Work on your own resume and use tools, tips from Google and YouTube videos.

I hadn't done a resume in over 20 years and was a little lost in exactly "how" to write a resume, a cover letter, and tie all of it to LinkedIn. A tall order for sure. How do you negotiate what you want to refund me with a not to standard resume?

Guys don't trust all the positive reviews. All lie! They will promise to get you stars till they get your money. After that they will forget about you and will do their best not to return your money. That's how they are making millions of dollars on people who needs help finding job and trust them. Playing with people's life. Shame on you! God sees everything, all of you will get what you deserve liars!

Hopefully the second draft of the resume will be better. I know when something is written using AI. It was very clear that is what they did. My resume excluded my current job. My resume repeated the same skill from one job listed 4 seperate ways. It had all the common AI mistakes.
What I ended up with was a completely unusable garbage resume. It has to be completley rewritten.
I can use AI myself

Absolute scam of a service, they do not ask any questions in regards to your experience and will instead make minor alterations around your actual resume. The LinkedIn "upgrade" is basically a copy pasted format with portions from the new resume.
Save your money, go to someone local.
