I have never been that great at resume writing so I sought out The professionals at TopResume to look it over at no cost. It was eye-opening to get an honest critique on how my resume was lacking and not presenting myself and my skill set in a way to make employers want to pursue me further. They were quick with their rewrite and I was allowed one edit. My writer worked nicely with me and incorporated my thoughts as well. Within 4 days I had a solid resume and cover letter In my hands and I am actually experiencing a positive response!

This company is a major rip off. The 5 star rating probably come from them.

They need to know the magnitude of there greed. I submitted a resume and got back an entirely different resume. It was full of lies! The contact information was wrong. They put I lived and worked in Portland. I've never been be to the state of Oregon!

Worst of all, their site does not have a phone number, and they do not offer a refund.

When I called them, "they emailed me a contact number", the representative couldn't acknowledge my concerns properly!

I'll keep this short, PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. According to them, I was already a lawyer! The resume I sent had "May 2017" graduate! The resume I got back had that I graduated in 2011 and pass the bar! It boasted about me being a public notary since 2008! I am NOT a public notary! I've never been one either!

All in all, I submitted the resume of a law student. I got back a resume saying that i was a veteran in the legal field. NONE OF THE INFO WAS CORRECT.

They even offered to look at my LinkedIn to modify it but never asked for my LinkedIn info! When I address it, they said we would never ask for you LinkedIn info because of privacy reasons. How can you fix it then!

Great service and I wish I had know about it earlier. Tiffany J (my resume writer) was excellent and she was able to put my qualifications on paper, using both the correct words and format. I struggled trying to write it myself and it only took her two days to get it the way I wanted it. I would recommend Top Resume's service to anyone.

I found TopResume through an ad on one of my job subscription emails. The offer was to evaluate my resume. I'm not gullible, I knew full well they'd offer their services to "fix" it once they had the results. I'm always skeptical of offers such as this, but I asked a few of my trusted friends who had their resume professionally rewritten and they were very happy with the results. I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a try. The cost wasn't unreasonable and worst case scenario would've been I get a better looking/formatted resume. I can honestly say I was completely bowled over when I got my first draft. My first thought after reading the draft was, "who is this person?" and then I realized it was my information pulled out of my old resume, and formatted/written in a way I could only dream of being able to do myself. It's hard for many people to write about themselves and sing their own praises. Sometimes you need an impartial person to step in and make you see the greatness that you should've been seeing all along. If you're on the fence, I'd say give it a try. It definitely can't hurt. And if it helps you get a job, or a better job, then it's money well spent.
I only used them for a resume rewrite. I have not used any of the other services they offer.

TopResume is an excellent service for any job seekers out there! To be honest i have never thought of using a resume writer and after using one, i have been wondering why did i wait so long! I suffered from what i think lots of job seekers have - a mental block, when it came to writing my own resume. Belinda, the resume writer assigned to me was fantastic! She did an excellent job condensing my resume into 2 pages of easy to read and polished product which i am confident sending out to companies i am seeking potential employment with. She was responsive to my queries and was quick to grasp what i was trying to convey. Kudos to her and TopResume!

Resume format I received was very nice. I posted it on different websites and through IT staffing agencies and 1 staffing agency wants me to change the format. The issue I had was the instructions I received to update my LINKEDIN account. The instructions received was not found on my Linkedin account. I updated what I could. I haven't had ANY companies contact me per my Linkedin account or my resume, so I'm wondering if me paying $249 for the updates were worth it.

Working with TopResume has been helpful. They provided a new format for my resume which was more organized and beautiful to look at. The resume professional assigned was cooperative through out the process.
However, I do feel there is room for improvement of the services.
1. I have a lot of information on my resume and require almost most of it to be included due to little industry experience- My resume ended up being 2 pages
2. My first draft had a deadline to respond otherwise it becomes the default final draft- They ended up making a special request for me, but I think this is unnecessary if it is mentioned on the website.

Final comments- definitely helpful but the process is unclear.

After i received my resume draft from top resume, i posted it on monster.com bear in mind it was still the draft and was not the final resume. About 2 or 3 days later i started receiving emails from recruiters about various positions. I had no interest in any of those positions but i was amazed the resume actually got noticed. I think it may be all the keyword on the resume. I then decided to have my schools career center review the resume so i could have good feedback to tell my top resume writer. The career center said it is one of the best resumes they have seen in a long time. The resume looks good, grammar and word choice are also excellent. I feel like anywhere i go from this point on i will most likely have the best resume in the room.

I used TopResume to do a much needed overhaul of my resume. The service was easy, fast with really awesome results. The initial draft of my resume was pretty solid and arrived within a few days. It was based on the three previous versions that I gave to them for background. After a couple of iterations, the end result was top notch. Like some of the other reviewers mentioned, this really helped change my approach to my resume - it looks far more polished and succinct.

I would recommend the folks to anyone!
