This was a great way to have an objective party review and rewrite my resume to be applicable to any jobs and key word screening for applying to jobs online. Alvin was easy to work with, thorough, knowledgeable and great at follow up. A great experience overall.
I received an offer for a free resume critique from TopResume. No one likes criticism, but after weeks of lukewarm or no responses to my old resume, I had nothing to lose. Yikes! What a constructive critique I was given. It was supported with lots of data, facts and even personal input from the critic. I could have attempted a rewrite using their info but i decided to try a resume/cover letter package that guaranteed interviews within 60 days. They even were offering a discount.

The first draft was terrible, assigned to a new writer, they didn't deliver the resume in two days like the first and said if I wanted it faster I could pay a rush charge. Quoted they don't do refunds after the first draft, but the first draft looks like a high school student did the work or someone overseas that doesn't understand English. Maybe look at a company that actually does what they say the will do on the website.
Very professional and always in constant communication with you. Any feedback or any questions you may have they answer quickly once you have your writer assigned. All the things you fill in when requesting their service, they all take it into count.
It started off a little rocky when it took several days to assign an analyst to to work on my resume, however to compensate, I was given a cover letter free of charge. Once an analyst was assigned, the process was smooth and efficient with timely responses to questions and concerns with my resume.

Had to pay another person since the resume final results still clearly contained grammatical errors, sentences did not make sense, tense was not correct, format was off, etc... Had to consistently remind Sofia Avila at TopResume to check that these issues were resolved/she check her work. Also based on the results and feedback from another professional writer I paid it appears that my resume was outsourced (either not done by an English fluent person or they didn't care about the end results or both). Overall a bad experience and will be reporting this to other sites including the BBB, LinkedIn etc as well as friends family coworkers networks etc

I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs help with a resume. I was in the midst of changing careers and my resume was not sticking out to any recruiters.
