I had my resume written by TopResume. It took about a week. All corrections were made that I asked to be made. I have submitted to some positions and have been rejected already. Will try a few more before contacting the company.

I recently had my resume and cover letter reworked by TopResume. I received the final draft on a Monday and spent time using it to apply for jobs and updating my resume on different job sites. Waste of money. Angela W. Doesn't know how to write a resume for a graphic designer. I sent her links to jobs I wanted to apply for along with my portfolio, that's 99% comprised of projects I've done for my current employer. I let her know with every revision, that I wasn't happy. She would reply with a couple of changes within 5-10 minutes. Obviously not putting any thought into the changes. I choose this resume writing companies because they were highly rated, maybe for other careers, but not designers. That's $349 poorly spent.
This was the best option to have a professional take a look and help boost my existing resume! After I purchased this service I have had a huge boost with my new resume! Well worth it.

Top Resume was a very easy service to use. The person I worked with was very friendly and understood exactly what I needed. I expressed my concerns with the old version I had and they were able to address everything. My resume was completed in a timely manner and so far I have had more feedback than I did before. I would use them again in the future.
TopResume has no refund no guarantee policy, I just lost my 350 dollar and they claim they will rewrite your resume if you did not get interview, well if you read reviews, you will see that this will not be happening as well. I contact Zoe G who was the support in my case and never even offered to help, most likely a third party based on India. And reading most of these positive review, they feel like advertisement from fake users, which does not surprise me after dealing with TopResume.
I lost 350 dollars in this site. I am not going to get it back, they are not even willing to refund the money for the linkedin profile which they did not even provide.
Cover letter that I got was a copy paste from another site! They did not even justify it when I caught them red handed or even apologized.
Resume is just a rewrite of your old resume, nothing more. They will not write your resume from scratch. They will just rephrase it and it will not be accurate. You will have to edit their final product because they dont understand what are you applying for.
The conclusion is, please read the bad reviews and dont make my mistake.
The result looks like a second grader wrote it. And doesn't it say no results they will rewrite it? Nope. They want to charge another $50.00 to rewrite it. So disappointed!

When I first looked at the results I said, "I could have done this". My wife's response was "well then why haven't you". She was right now matter how long I work on a rewrite it never looked as professional as what TopResume put together for me. I got the package that included the resume, a cover letter and changes to my linkedin page. The three are now in sync and I've received more call backs that I had with my old format.
I would recommend getting a professional to rewrite your resume because they aren't as emotional about it... and I would use TopResume again.

I'm a middle age female with more than 35 years of experience. It was difficult to get a job offer with my old resume. Top Resume offered me a quick review of my resume through Monster.com. Once completed I received a summary of my results. After some thought, I decided to try it! I'm very glad that I did. NOTHING BEATS A FAILURE BUT A TRY!
I choose their starter pack and provided them with all the context in which I want my resume to be written.
They wrote it, and I applied to 50+ jobs with that resume, all declined. All declination emails were generic, so probably my resume was never seen by a human eye, which proves that they can't deliver their promise of warranting the optimized resume for applicant tracking systems.
I asked it to be rewritten, but they said that the option I choose doesn't include a free rewrite guarantee, and I had to pay again for it to be rewritten (for a reduced price)
Result: 149 $ spent for nothing.
There are a lot of platforms and freelancers offering this service online, they're much cheaper and effective, don't waste your precious dollars on topresume.com
