I have WON plenty of items with Tophatter. It is a fun auction site. They offer plenty of QUIRKY items that you will not find anywhere else. They offer plant seeds to electronics. I have won both... and was very satisfied with the items. Customer service is very quick to help when there is a problem. I have bought a couple bummer items, but reading fully thru the descriptions is a must, or you may be disappointed. I have Tophatter on my toolbar for a everyday "look see". Not expensive... lots of fun.
Some of the stuff is super nice! Other stuff I would return on the spot because it is a lot cheaper looking in person than it appered to be on the site. But because of the really nice things I will most likely go back! You can find some real bargains... but be choosy!
I have bought some really nice pieces of jewelry well below retail. Some I had checked at a jeweler and they were shocked at how little i paid.
All is good. However, I always see the same items day after day. The first week or so was exciting. I bought up a storm. Then it just got boring. Only because it's the same items all the time. I also notice the clothes from Chine. Their sizes are not at all true to USA sizes. They run very very small. Otherwise, of all the items I purchased, it appears only one item shipped from China was not working. However, I offered an even exchange but she gave me a refund. So that was good customer service. No complaint there.
I was able to purchase high quality jewelry at a fraction of the cost. Very beautiful. Bidding was fun. Receive most things very quickly.
Most products have been great, some shipping I have not received yet and its been over 6 weeks, but most products have been what was shown and what I bid for
I wish things would arrive faster. Some of the things I bought don't show any shipping information. Mostly if it ships fed ex.

In the last 14 days I have had two purses refunded for silly reasons. One item lost another one untraceable and and that's just in the last couple weeks. And it's been over a week for a refund of $97 to be put in my bank account and I don't know where my money is! So recent experience not good! Past experience since last May great!

I have suspected that some of the bids are placed by the website to raise the price on some occasions. I hope I am wrong, but it just seems that way.
