I won a bid for a refurbished Dell laptop for my husband. He didn't need anything fancy so we both thought this would be fine for his needs. When it finally arrived it in no way looked like the picture on Tophatters website. Someone had beat the hell out of it. I 'm not sure what you'd have to do to get a laptop in this condition. It looked liked it had taken the brunt of someones anger issues. But for the price if it worked we could overlook the condition. I go to charge it up and find no power cord/battery pack has been included. I send an email regarding this major oversite but get no response. I go to Amazon and buy one for 6.00, no biggie. Two days later I get the missing items. It would have been nice if someone had informed me they had been shipped instead of magically appearing with no explanation. Anyway, we plug it in. My husband spends the next 2 hours just trying to connect to the internet. There were so many things wrong that it was obvious it was never refurbished. I contacted Tophatter about returning it for a refund. I was supposed to have a return label emailed to me but I never received one. I returned to tophatter looking for someway of contacting their CS other than email, which no-one pays attention to. I happened to see a email from I guess the seller, and he was kind enough to send me an address where I could return the laptop, on my dime. Ya, I don't think so. I tried repeatedly to get someone to respond, which someone finally did, but I had thrown it out by then. Lesson learned, not worth the headache. I deleted my account.

Having fun wearing my 'TopHatter'.

I've put many a gift under the Christmas tree this season and I would say
90% was purchased from TopHatter.
I would hate to label it as my 'addiction', so let's call it my 'obsession'. That doesn't sound so "bad-for-me"!
Anyway, I'm enjoying shopping at this site, BUT... the one problem I'm running into, is 'SELLERS' aren't putting enough description of some of their items, Ex: I'm having to return two separate purchases of iPad protective covers because the seller didn't include dimensions. I've since learned that the iPad 2 and the iPad 2 Air have a 1 inch difference in size. So, the auctions I purchased from (Same Seller, different ordering date) won't fit and I'm in the process of returning them.

Buyer beware

Ordered the 3d virtual glasses for my son for Xmas on November 29 2016. Today is Jan 6 2017 and I still have not received the item. Have written to custome support 3 times and received no response. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau!

I also see that tracking finally began movement on January 27,2017, which resulted in your item being delivered successfully to your location on January 30,2017. I have seen all the cheap items that Top Hatter has for auction! All of them you can get on Ebay or Amazon for a fraction of the cost of TopHatters final auction bids! LOL! People do your research on the item you want to bid on before you bid at TopHatter. Example... A little computer keyboard vac, went for 22 dollars on the TopHatters auction and on ebay you can get it for 2 bucks! TopHatter auctions the same things over and over again so you have plenty of time to research there items prices and get them, much, much, much cheaper somewhere else! I reviewed pricing for the 2 items I bought on TopHatters auction and know that I got a good deal on those two items. But I won't be shopping there again.

Because Tophatter is a auction bidding site where buyers bid on items, the selling price reflects the value the winning buyer is willing to pay at that moment. The same item may be sold at different values each time it is auctioned, this makes the bidding competitive and fun! I'm sorry that you weren't able to find great deals while shopping with us. This site sucks. I never got the items I ordered for Christmas gifts. No help from site no response from seller to the site. DHL the shipper can't and won't help find my package.

Tophatter will take every dollar away from you without your consent. Customer will complain and the money will be reversed from your bank account without you knowledge. Fees have increased again and your lucky to have more than 2 auctions a week now after changing their system to allow others to do bulk sale, this prevents you from selling. The average person will never make money as they auction the lowest amount IE $1 to start. How many products can you find for a dollar or even $5 and make a profit after they take their share specially when their cut is from the shipping as well. DO NOT SELL ON THIS SIT OR BUY PLEASE

I bought 1 gram of silver was dissatisfied but was happy to see that my return was granted. But sooooooooo disappointed that i had to pay $26 to ship it back. Needless to say I was very upset about this. To begin with the buyers are already paying alot for shipping. Ridiculous Not sure i will use Tophatter again

The photos unfortunately misleading, have to be careful read the fine print before biddding ends up biddding unwanted items when cancelled the order got blocked for a week
