Not even worth one star review. Filthy, dirty, scam goods.! The box our goods came in was worth more than the items. Money down the drain.! Paid £12 for item which was worth £2 on the market. Very disgusted!

Sitting back in my favourite chair and bidding on tophatter for me can be quite addictive, but I love it and have had some great buys. Sometimes I think 'Oops' shouldn't have done that but what a great site with excellent customer service and followup.

I messed up. I opened an account, but mistyped my email and did not update my profile when I first logged in. Then I bought and paid for an item. Logged off and could not get back on. Only paid a couple bucks, but figured I was out the $ and the item. Before I could call and see if they could help, they did. They found me and shipped the item. I love it! They went above and beyond, a lot of companies would pocket the money and resale the item, not Tophatter! Thank you!

Asked for refund on few items because I was not used to bidding there very good about it... so far I got what I paid for... very good site would recommend just watch so you don't overbid

One star is way too good for this site. They offer plenty of items at very inexpensive prices; however, the majority of items I received were shipped from China and either didn't work or were very cheaply made. When I tried to return two items, I was told that I had to pay the return shipping (to China) and it would actually cost more to return than to keep them. So now I'm stuck with a tablet that doesn't work and its cover that doesn't stay closed. Customer service was of no help in resolving... told that I was responsible for shipping. They really should let you know where items are being shipped from BEFORE placing them for bid. Let the consumer decide if we're willing to take the risk.
Also, the actual photos many times do no reflect the actual product. I received an item and while the pic showed everything labled in English, it arrived with nothing but Chinese on the front of the package!
Be very careful before bidding on items from this site. In fact, just stay away and save yourself money and frustration!

Based on several factors including the location of the buyer, the location of the seller, cost of the order, history of returns requested, and the reason for the return, a return request will result in one of the following four outcomes:
1. You may receive a refund for an item, and return will not be required.
2. If you live in the United States, you may receive a free return shipping label to cover the cost of returning your item.
3. If you live outside of the United States, you may receive a store credit to offset the cost of returning your item.
4. You may return the item and assume the cost of return shipping on your own. In any case, we are happy to offer easy returns for any reason, for up to 30 days from delivery.
Tophatter will always process refunds for buyers upon receiving a valid tracking number from them indicating that the order has been returned to the seller. On our platform, refund without return or prepaid return labels are provided to U.S.-based buyers until the buyer hits a threshold for free returns. For internationally located buyers, we provide a refund without return or some store credit to offset some of the cost of returning the item at their own expense until the buyer hits the threshold.
The acceptable return threshold is continuously calculated as a percentage of the buyer's total purchases. Once this threshold has been met, the cost of returning the item to the seller with tracking will be at the buyer's expense. When this happens, it is explained in the email buyers receive when they request a return, that they are responsible for the return shipping cost, and the buyer is provided with the seller's return address to facilitate the successful return of the order.

I have used tophatter for 5 months or so and never have i been disappointed. Tophatter also has buyer protection so they guarantee your experience and business if it is something wrong the will fix it but i have not had any issues yet. It is always a pleasure doing business on tophatter. It is not only fun but also easy and very affordable. Its like christmas and black Friday all rolled into one place and its an everyday thing.

This Site is nothing but a huge rip off for cheap crap made overseas. I have tried to return or returned almost everything I have ever bought. I was all excited about this site at first and ordered a bunch of stuff and then it started coming in and I realize what junk it really was. I only gave it one star because it wouldnt let me give it none
Every picture you see on their site is deceiving. Their descriptions are usually not correct either. Just about everything I have bought I could get at the dollar store, its the same quality. When I try to return stuff Im giving instructions as to how to return it and they want to charge $14 for me to ship their garbage back to them.
The only thing I have bought it wasnt junk was an iPhone 5. They dont give a description of it on the site so you never know what youre getting and when I got mine it was all beat to crap and back.
Im going to try and figure out how to file a dispute with PayPal because this is just ridiculous. I think PayPal should disassociate themseles from this company because they are going to give Paypal a lot of problems just being associated with them.

Deliveries are within reasonable time frame. Most of the time.
Sites customer support has been great. I recommend trying. And should you have a problem contact their customer support for resolution..

The items sold on this site are available on a number of Chinese web sites at a fraction of the cost that you will end up paying if you win the bid.
The other problem is that the "collectibles" are pure junk that nobody wants. Who needs silver or gold clad anything? The amount of silver or gold that ca be recovered from these "Treasures" is so minuscule that no one would even try to do so. The postage is worth more than the silver or gold that is plated onto these items. Another problem is that the "silver" dollars that they are selling are fakes that have been plated in silver and make it look like they are the real thing.
As for the jewelry - you are better off buying costume jewelry at any "dollar" store.
If you go to Chinese web sites you can buy literally hundreds of thousands of watches that are far better and cheaper than you will probably find on this site.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
