Tophatter has kept their word to their customers and have gone a long ways to see tat we as a customer is satisfied. I was truly amazed at some of the things I got and for the prices it is unreal. I got my stuff three days after I paid for it. I am truly happy with them and I am truly going to bid even more.
Tophatter has some great electronic deals, very satisfied with purchases. Jewelry is cheap and watch for free shipping to add to savings. Also purchased a Coach purse once great price, dealer re-nigged at first no one cared but after numerous attempts I did finally reached customer service who got ny money back and told me it wasn't genuine anyway.

I made a great purchase, paid and the seller says she didn't get the payment. Now I'll at best lose the deal and at worst lose the deal and my money and tophatter won't even contact me about it. They know they got paid so what's the problem. The two best deals I made the sellers found a excuse to cancel and tophatter couldn't care less. Very dissappointing.
I have purchased about eight items on this site. Sure, the prices seemed low. That is, until the items were received. Every one has been of lesser quality than advertised. The reference pricing or value is immensely overstated.
Their guarantee is more useless than their products. They say you can return them for a refund, however, after two items I was told I would have to pay return shipping myself -- to China! The cost of sending to China is greater than the purchase price.
The bottom line for me is their advertisers/sellers are sending items of lesser quality than described and I, as the buyer, am stuck with them because Tophatter won't refund the money or take them back by shipping to any location in the US.
If a seller sells something inferior to what was promised, they should pay the freight to have the items returned because the sale was essentially fraudulent.

Tophatter will always process refunds for buyers upon receiving a valid tracking number from them indicating that the order has been returned to the seller. On our platform, refund without return or prepaid return labels are provided to U.S.-based buyers until the buyer hits a threshold for free returns. For internationally located buyers, we provide a refund without return or some store credit to offset some of the cost of returning the item at their own expense until the buyer hits the threshold.
The acceptable return threshold is continuously calculated as a percentage of the buyer's total purchases. Once this threshold has been met, the cost of returning the item to the seller with tracking will be at the buyer's expense. When this happens, it is explained in the email buyers receive when they request a return, that they are responsible for the return shipping cost, and the buyer is provided with the seller's return address to facilitate the successful return of the order.
Unfortunately, you've requested returns in excess of the threshold, and we are unable to provide more free returns at this time.

Only two problems I have had are: not knowing the size of the stone in a ring and the stone being too small... don't bid on a ring if the size of stone is not mentioned. Don't buy a used pocketbook! I spent 100.00 on a pocketbook. Gave as a gift. It s a good thing it was my sister... totally embarrassed! It was beyond filthy. I was new to the site and left messages and calls and got no satisfaction at all. Other then that. Perfect. And I have spent many thousands over the last few years..
I give Tophatter 5 star for excellent prices and beautiful pieces of jewelry, There are 2 items I bid that I was not satisfied I just have to check and read the description before I bid

I just discovered Tophatter and to say the least I am impressed! The bidding is fast and after you pay the communications are amazing. I already received my first item in less than 4 days and have tracking that 2 more are on the way. The quality and selection are great as well!

AVOID THIS SITE LIKE THE PLAQUE! If you love "CHEAP,"Made in China" worthless crap, this is the site for you. Items are POOR QUALITY, many items arrive broken or not remotely as described! Example: They will show you a pic of a sheepskin rug draped over a 3-seated couch, but when you get the product, it's not even big enough to cover the armrest! Don't even consider buying clothes! It's WAY small and guaranteed to be made with polyester or similar CHEAP material They claim 100% Customer Satisfaction "guaranteed" HOWEVER, if you return too many of the broken "Made in China" crap they sell, they freeze your account. GOOD RIDDEN! Time to buy "MADE IN THE USA" ONLY! This site is 95% Chinese dollar store quality products: AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Tophatter has some very nice jewellery items on offer.and in your size. There are the odd items I think mainly for boys or tomboys like Drones and other items too numerous to mention. The action is fast and sometimes anoying when things don't go your way. You just have to hang in there to spot the bargains and go for them.

Love the beautiful jewelry. Have bid on many items and now wear rings, bracelets and necklaces that look very expensive. Friends are surprised when told what I paid, and the bidding is lots of fun. It takes a little time to get, but well worth the wait.

Received USB Drive for present for Christmas. Device would not hold files.
Contacted Tophatter in January and gave them every opportunity to do the right thing, replace drive or refund. They wouldn't do either. Device was advertised as Lifetime Warranty. They do not stand behind their products, I wouldn't use them again. So no drive, no money, that is what you can expect.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
