Tophatter backs fake junk, they will NOT return your money. I returned my fake item to seller with confirmation still did not get my money back. Tophatter let seller have my money AND the junk they sell. Tophatter is a very bad site, i agree with alot of theses other reviews... you can get better stuff at the dollar store a lot cheaper.

Tophatter will always process refunds for buyers upon receiving a valid tracking number from them indicating that the order has been returned to the seller. Tophatter offers Buyer Protection in the form of a 30-day Easy Return policy that will either: 1.) refund the buyer without return needed, 2.) provide the buyer with a prepaid return label, or 3.) present the buyer with the seller’s address to return the item, paying for their own return postage with valid tracking number.
On our platform, refunds or prepaid return labels are provided to U.S.-based buyers until the buyer hits a threshold for free returns. For internationally located buyers, we provide some store credit to offset the cost of returning the item at their own expense until the buyer hits the threshold.
The acceptable return threshold is continuously calculated as a percentage of the buyer's total purchases. Once this threshold has been met, the cost of returning the item to the seller with tracking will be at the buyer’s expense. When this happens, it is explained in the email buyers receive when they request a return, that they are responsible for the return shipping cost, and the buyer is provided with the seller’s return address to facilitate the successful return of the order.

When I bid on a jewelry set that was advertised as sterling silver and turquoise that is what I expected to receive. When the set arrived my disappointment was very real! It is neither sterling silver or turquoise. The earrings were also advertised as being feather shaped and they are not. I have not had this kind of experience in the past but now I no longer trust what the sellers say their product is. I live too far away from a post office to send it back with any ease so I will just junk it. The invoice number was #*******.

Nothing but junk! The pictures of the item that they show is not what you get. You can go to a dollar store and get the same thing or better. The fitness bracelet that they sell you can not program. I bought a drone it came in damage one lever was broken off and the other was broken in side the control box. The picture of the drone I bid on was nice and big but this one is so small and I can not program the camera. I ask for a refund but I would have to send it back at my expense. The cost to send it back was more than what it is worth so I have to take a lose on this item. The items that they show and the value they put on the is false so I would say that this is a FRUAD SITE

I always find sometjing I want even though I was just browsing. I have had great experiences with the quality of the merchandise most of the time. I have had two products which were not good and I got an imediate refund and a returns goods authorization with no questions asked. In short they have a great variety of products, the site is easy to use and they stand behind what they sell.

I got hooked on Tophatter by a neighbor who works at a very busy jewelry store in Palm Desert, California. I'm not a gambler but have found the MOST FUN SITE (Tophatter) to get my roll rockin'. The items are wide and many, and some very rare. I have been lucky enough to win quite a few bids and have loved every single item purchased. The jewelry displayed is truly beautiful. When I received each item, it's more beautiful than the photo. When I say, "you get what you pay for", keep that in mind because these jewelry items are DARLING... it is YOUR choice to tell friends they are "real or not". I choose to let everyone just drool over them when I wear them. You won't be disappointed (unless you keep losing your bid to someone else... lol) so give it a try. YOU CANNOT LOSE. Tophatter is a great site to get good stuff at the price you want to pay. I did receive 1 item broken, but Tophatter was great and quick with a refund. The only negative was that on 2 occasions, I won bids with low offers and the items weren't shipped. Overall, I would recommend this site.

Answer: There is also the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION that can help with these types of problems

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
