Found a variety of items on Tophatter. There is something to please everyone. Service has been very good. Some items I do not bid on because of, what I feel, are excessive shipping charges. Many times you pay more for shipping than the cost of the item.

Purchased a few items that were marked as collectable - well they are all fake. Two items were identical all the way down to the serial number. Vendors are making money off of people who don't realize what they are buying and the shipping charges. Save your hard earned money instead of buying on this site is my recommendation.

Tophatter is an outstanding online auction. Unlike penny auction sites you only pay if you win. No more waiting for days for an auction to be over at Tophatter items sell quickly usually in less than two minutes.
I have won several auctions and 100% each item has been exactly as described and of very good quality.
The only negative I can think of about Tophatter is it is addicting but loads of fun.

I love auctions, but I hate the hours and days long waiting. Tophatter 90 second auctions are great! So many at once to go through with an almost instantaneous satisfaction of a win. And if I don't win, I just look for another of the same item and start again. I've already won 15 auctions and the items are just now beginning to come in. A lot of them are coming from overseas, so it will take a couple of weeks if they are. First item I received is a navy blue and white striped hoodie. The fit is perfect, the material is so soft and lightweight for Spring and it arrived in the time frame I was given. One word of advice for clothing, though... make sure you check where the item is coming from so you get the correct size. And check the charts to make sure you get the correct conversion. I wear an XL and order a 4XL in Asian sizes. That's a perfect fit for me. Now I'm anxious to see how the other items are when they come in! Happy bidding!

I love Tophatter! I forgot about my account and stumbled across it again. I forgot how much fun it is to bid on items! I have made 3 purchases so far and received all well before the expected delivery date. And everything has been exactly as described. I also love the option to be reminded about a specific item and the option to just make a purchase without bidding. (This option is more expensive though). Have fun and try it out!

Based on several factors including the location of the buyer, the location of the seller, cost of the order, history of returns requested, and the reason for the return, a return request will result in one of the following four outcomes:
1. You may receive a refund for an item, and return will not be required.
2. If you live in the United States, you may receive a free return shipping label to cover the cost of returning your item.
3. If you live outside of the United States, you may receive a store credit to offset the cost of returning your item.
4. You may return the item and assume the cost of return shipping on your own. In any case, we are happy to offer easy returns for any reason, for up to 30 days from delivery.
Tophatter will always process refunds for buyers upon receiving a valid tracking number from them indicating that the order has been returned to the seller. On our platform, refund without return or prepaid return labels are provided to U.S.-based buyers until the buyer hits a threshold for free returns. For internationally located buyers, we provide a refund without return or some store credit to offset some of the cost of returning the item at their own expense until the buyer hits the threshold.
The acceptable return threshold is continuously calculated as a percentage of the buyer's total purchases. Once this threshold has been met, the cost of returning the item to the seller with tracking will be at the buyer's expense. Still haven't heard from them in approx. A month they said they would review my purchases yet nothing happened, and really I don't expect anything more from them, they are the worse online shopping site, buyer beware if you have a problem with the product you purchased your stuck with it unless you want to pay for shipping it back to China.

As you know the item on this page that i ordered was very unsatisfactory and that I wish to return it, however the cos to ship it back is $ 87.10. I paid $ 70.00 for it that comes to a total of 157.10. You will refund me $55.00 total now is $102.10 that I will have to spend and not have anything to show for it, makes me totally discussed dealing with Tophatter, So I won't return it and take just a $70.00 loss as the item is totally useless. 7" tablet

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
